Dragon Realm
Episode 25's

The spell was almost finished when he discovered that his enemy was also casting.

For all practical purposes, the two spells were the same. Each has recognized the danger represented by the other. The Gryphon, who was observing the sky to see some signs, was the only one who actually saw the explosion. Others just heard an explosion.

One second, both are on. The next instant, the flash of light that tore through the sky caused many to believe that daylight had come. Of the two combatants, there was nothing to see. As if they no longer exist.

ANGRILY, GRYPHON spun away from the balcony and called out to his commanders. There was hope, some hope, that they might find the necromancer alive. Lionbird tried hard not to think about how small the opportunities were.

* * *

The blitz, not the explosion, woke Cabe up. Not because he sleeps well. There were so many questions running through his head. They were all forgotten once the light flooded his room. The explosion itself almost threw him out of bed.

He ran to the window and peeked outside. There was nothing but darkness in the sky. Cabe failed to notice the gathered fog as his gaze was suddenly interrupted by many sounds that echoed his confusion. She was looking for something to wear, only to find that she was wearing her clothes. Before retiring, he must have deleted it.

Ignoring the incident in the heat of the current situation, Cabe departed from his room. His first intention is to find the Lady or one of his other friends. It was harder than he thought. With people running to and fro, it was hard to tell who it was who. Luckily, Gwen found him.

“Cabe!” She wore emerald green tight hunting clothes, a short skirt and a feathered hat completed the picture.

"What the hell is going on?"

"I don't know, but I feel like it has something to do with your friend, Shade." His tone of voice indicated that he still did not trust the other witches. Cabe felt the need to defend the man, but was not given a chance. Instead, he finds himself led by his friend to the main hall of the Gryphon palace.

The Gryphons were there when they arrived. He issued orders to the commander and scouts. They could not understand what was said, but some of them seemed to revolve around the shadow magician. Gwen looked at Cabe. He turned his eyes away, refusing to believe as he did.

Their host finally turned his attention to them. “Sorry, I can't talk to you sooner! Things got really bad, really bad!”

Madam nodded. “I'm sure we all see and hear the same thing. Is it a Shadow? ”

"Partially. He is locked in a struggle with one of the Azran Seekers. It was spying on us and had to be destroyed.”

Cabe was overjoyed that his belief in the witch was justified. Lady seemed to ignore this and asked the Gryphon a few questions. When he described the explosion, he shook his head.

“Strength overflows. Rarely, but shutting down.”

Both of them stared blankly at him.

He continued. “They both tried to use the same spell at the same time. Oh, there may be slight variations in each of them, but for their strength, they are identical. Instead of two separate attacks, there was one common spell with quadruple power. Most likely, it destroyed them instantly. ”

Gryphon agrees. “Despite this, I intend to find an excuse. Overall, I can add. ”

He did not say what was now on everyone's mind. That Simon of Shade's personality has been lost. If that's true, then a new threat has been unleashed.

“If the demon was near here, he failed to appear! I don't have time to look for it!”

A scout comes in. Apologizing to his master, he began to report a new movement by the horde from Lochivar. The Gryphon turned his attention to this matter completely. Lady Gwen and Cabe plead. After they left the room, they started talking.

“What happened to me now?” Cabe was not too happy with the thought of facing the Dragon Monarch. Especially with their two strongest allies missing, one presumed dead—and most likely soon to become a new threat.

"I don't know. First the library, now. We are in a defensive position. We must make an attack before it's too late!”

“Simon—Shade attacks; look what happened to him!"

“That worries me a bit compared to what we're dealing with if she dies out there. The legend of his evil side will make the soul of even the most powerful man!”

The two of them stopped, pondering over the unpleasant possibility. That's when Blane showed up. The commander was obviously anxious about something, but he paused for a moment to talk to them before heading to the Gryphon.

“I saw that this terrible night made everyone wake up! My father always told me to be careful when both Twins are full!”

Cabe studied the man's uniform. It's dirty and wet. Blane caught that view.

“I've been lurking near the Grey Fog since the darkness. I always want to know what I'm dealing with.”

“Isn't that dangerous? What will happen if you are arrested or killed?”

She laughs. “I will kill myself through sheer will if caught! We were trained for that. Studied under a Shizzaran priest. If killed, my men know who among them will take over. Actually, there are those who are capable, but do not let them hear it. I myself will have an army of leaders!”

Gwen was much more interested in the Gray Fog. “What did you find?”

Blane's face hardened. “It's growing. They'll be here in no time. Have you seen any of those zombies? No? I have! So drunk as to live in the mist that they are not human! Gaunt, the skeleton man who fought even if they lost both hands and both legs!”

Frowning, Cabe asked, "What can they do?"

“Bite you, man! Their teeth are sharpened to a certain point. They are known to pretend to be dead and then get a soldier on the ankle as he passes by. Don't know what they have for blood, but most people who are bitten die quickly. Any soldier with intelligence knows that he is better off avoiding or beheading. ”

And this horror is running towards the Penacles, Cabe thought desperately. I was to blame for the most part. Men will die—

"Stop that!" Gwen looked into his eyes deeply. “I know what you think! This will happen whether you exist or not! The Black Dragon had always craved for the City of Knowledge. He's just waiting for a chance!”

Logic has nothing to do with love. At that moment, Cabe was willing to believe whatever the Lady said. He was even willing to risk his life for her, if there was a chance. He now has his heart and soul, though he may not be aware of it. It didn't matter to him that he had loved his grandfather.
