Duda But Perjaka
Chapter 45

"Aaa ... what? Meanin?" ask Chaca.

"After I became a widower, I immediately proposed to you. Wait for me," he said again, peeping at the back of Chaca's hand.

Both corners of Chaca's lips are perfectly attracted. A big smile accompanied by a strong heartbeat Chaca could not hide.

His head nodded steadily, giving a very convincing answer.

"Well, the meat is cold" Chaca lamented softly after looking at the two bowls before her.

"I pesen again" answered Gandhi as he moved from his seat.

Chaca grabbed Gandhi's arm until he stopped. "No, Om. Mubazir later, eat yuk first, laper," whine Chaca.

Gandhi rubbed the top of the girl's head. Then they began to enjoy the cold meatballs, the already tasteless ice. But still, for both of them it feels good because of the happiness that envelops the hearts of both.

Later, Chaca returns home. He did not want his presence to create new problems for Gandhi. While the man contacted Ayu's family.

"If you run away from the responsibility again, I'll send you to jail!" threaten Gandhi when they're in Ayu's hospital room.

"Hmmm...." Anjar grunting.

Silence is created for a few moments. They were silent with their respective daydreams. Lenguhan Ayu, distract them.

Gandhi stood on his back against the wall, placing both hands in his pockets. Only his head looked up, staring at the bed where Ayu was lying.

"Mas Anjar?" murmured Ayu watered, then shed tears.

A few pairs of feet echoed, then barged into the room. The door opened, revealing a pair of middle-aged who were filled with anger.

"What are you doing, huh? If you can't make him happy, give him back in a good way! Don't be hurt like this!" her father-in-law shouted at Gandhi.

Gandhi remained calm, neither evasive nor defensive. His eyes returned to Ayu and Anjar.

"Sir," call Ayu Iirih.

His mother rushed over, stood across from Anjar, rubbed her head and clasped her hands. "What's going on, son?"

Ayu just cried, without being able to make a sound.

"I'm sorry, because of me, Ayu lost her fetus. I didn't do it on purpose" Anjar said, bowing her head.

"What?! A... I miscarried?" pekik Ayu hysterical. Her crying broke, so the mother had trouble calming her down. So Gandhi had to call a doctor to give him a sedative injection.

"Let the patient rest, he is still in shock. Please have only one person waiting for him" the doctor said before leaving the room, after the examination.

They all nodded in understanding, leaving the room to leave Ayu's mother alone.

Suparman, Ayu's father had growled furiously from the moment he made a sharp look at Anjar. It is like trying to interrogate a criminal.

"Sir, maybe if only I spoke, you wouldn't believe me. Because at that time I had no proof. While at this time, in front of you, is Ayu's lover as well as the man who impregnated Ayu."

Gandhi took a long breath. Recalling how he fell into the thorny problems of his life. Sacrificing his love and happiness. Suparman lifted his head.

"I married her in a panic to see her commit suicide while pregnant. When I make a promise, I will try to keep it. I'm even willing to beat you up to save two lives at once. Even though I have to bear for the mistakes I never made."

"I'll return your daughter back in good order. Sorry if all this time I can't be a good husband and daughter-in-law" Gandhi said.
