Duda But Perjaka

Duda But Perjaka
Chapter 47

"Where were you yesterday? The phone was not picked up! Chat is not answered! You've foiled Gandhi's great project!" shouted one of the marketing directors while pounding the table.

"What do you think this is your father's company? Time to get in, go in. Not even disappear without news. We lost an important client because of you" the man named Muji jolted right in front of Gandhi's face.

Gandhi has been preparing since last night. He knew this was going to happen. This was his first mistake while being a manager at the venue.

"Sorry, Sir. I'm...."

"Sorry! Pardon me! You think with your apologies it's a loss we can cover? Your mistake was fatal. Not professional!" Muji ruffled waist.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door. A woman stood in the doorway with a letter in her hand.

"Come on!" muji said without turning his head, staring intently at the young man in front of him.

With trembling hands, Mita handed the paper wrapped in a white envelope to Gandhi. "I. .. This is a letter to you" Mita said in a trembling voice.

Gandhi took the paper bearing the logo of Abraham's company with confidence. Immediately opened and read carefully.

"Sir, but...." Gandhi tried to explain.

"There's no buts! This second also empties your desk!" snarl Muji again.

Mita bit her lower lip. He knew Gandhi well for many years. It felt unwilling to see the man having to lift his legs from there.

"Well, sir," said Gandhi.

Without any excuse Muji left Gandhi's room. Gandhi immediately cleared his desk. Put it in a cardboard box.

"Mita, come back, you will be rebuked" Gandhi said without regard for the woman.

"Sir," call Mita clean.

"I'm okay, Mita. This is the consequence of my mistake. Thanks, come back to your desk!" gandhi smiled.

"Good, Sir. I hope you get a better job soon." Mita wiped away the tears that started to drip.

"Hey, I got fired why are you crying?" Gandhi chuckled at the sight of his co-workers since becoming OB's.

"There's not a whole lot more," said Mita wiping her tears.

"The spirit of Mita." That is all Gandhi said when he went through it carrying a carton of his belongings.

Two steps away from the room, someone called out to him.

"Gandhi, wait!" A heavy voice sounded.

One month later, Gandhi and Ayu's divorce trial was held. In this session, it was a peace effort. But Ayu did not reveal his nose in the first trial.

She was ashamed, especially of Gandhi. Insulting, reviling and cursing the man who once saved his life, covered up his disgrace, yet he retorted with such vile things. He had no face to meet Gandhi.

A week later, a second trial was held. Again, Ayu was not present at the trial table. But with his absence, it accelerates the divorce process. The court issued a verstek ruling.

Verstek's decision is a decision handed down by the Assembly of Judges without the presence of the defendant and without a valid reason even though it has been formally and appropriately summoned.

And come in the third session. Where in the trial this time, is a talak pledge hearing. Ayu and Gandhi were present at the hearing.

The 3 beats by the judge echoed, signalling the end of their divorce trial.

Gandhi smiled as he extended his hand, "Thank you, and I'm sorry if as long as we're married you're not happy" Gandhi said after the hearing.

Ayu turned her head and looked at the man, he stood up but did not welcome Gandhi's hand. Instead of hugging the man and shedding his cries.

"Sorry, Mas. Sorry!" said asenggut.

At the same time, Chaca was present unnoticed by Gandhi. He had just come home, after the school breakup, intending to surprise her to support him. Yet, he was surprised.
