17. Father's Advice

Tonight Mr. Aerospace calls Bumi to meet him in his study. Usually if Mr. Dirgantara calls Bumi there, he will ask about the development of their business.

Tok to tok.

The earth knocks on the door first before entering. After the order to enter, he went inside. Earth is indeed used to being small being polite like that. Despite entering his own father's room, he always asked permission first.

“Sit.” Mr. Dirgantara invited his son to sit on the sofa opposite to where he currently sits.

The earth sat at the command of his father.

“You've been very busy lately. You always come home at night,” said Mr. Dirgantara opened the conversation. 

“Dad knows the reason. Not before I run the company, dad also often come home at night?” Earth turned her father's words back on.

Mr. Dirgantara smiled. His son has not changed at all. Similar to it seems even in terms of tongue-licking.

“How is the ongoing bridge construction project? I heard there was an obstacle,” asked Mr. Dirgantara.

“True, Dad. Some want to manipulate commonly used materials with poor quality materials. But you don't have to worry. The supervisor on duty had already noticed it before the material was used. Now that everything is safely under control,” replied Earth at length.

If you talk about business, you can talk at length. But if everyday, it is very expensive to hear the sound of the merdunya.

“Thanks, Dad. I'll work as much as possible.”

“Then, how are you doing about the daughter of the Wijaya family?” asked her father to change the subject.

“Senja is fine. He is also working at his father's company,” replied Bumi quickly.

Mr. Dirgantara raised his eyebrows next door. “Senja? Mr Andika's son you mean?” asked Mr. Dirgantara to make sure his hearing was not wrong if his son mentioned the name Dusk, not Nesya.

The new earth realized that his father meant Nesya, not Dusk. They were both daughters of the Wijaya family because Wijaya was the name of their grandfather.

“Oh, I think the father asked Mr. Andika's son,” said Earth calmly so as not to be seen that it was indeed Dusk that was always on his mind.

“Why do you think so?” search Mr. Dirgantara.

“Oh, so, huh? I think because you're thinking about it that's why you said his name, not Nesya,” his father replied.

The earth tried to remain calm despite knowing her father was fishing for her.

“If dad wants to ask about Nesya, he's fine. Even earlier this afternoon we had a meal together at a restaurant,” Bumi said.

“Good. That's a good start. What matters is that none of you are forced to do so. Approach according to your conscience before you actually decide to continue your relationship in a bond,” said his father advising.

“Dad doesn't want you to continue this relationship just because it runs the request of your late mother,” added her father again.

“I will not disappoint mother,” said Bumi firmly.

“Your mother will not be disappointed even if you do not become married to Nesya,” refute her father.

“What does father mean? I just want to do what mom asked,” asked Bumi.

“But your happiness is the main one for dad and of course for your mom. Don't continue this matchmaking if you can't accept Nesya in your heart!” 

“Dad don't worry. It's just a matter of time,” the Earth denies.

“Don't play around with feelings, Earth. Not necessarily the time will lead you to happiness if you do not make the right choice of your heart. Don't let you regret being behind!” mr. Dirgantara warned.

“Instead I will regret if I do not run the last request of the mother,” replied Bumi who still remains in her position because she did not want to betray her late mother.

Mr. Dirgantara seemed to sigh heavily. It felt that the stubbornness of the Earth was twice as great as her.

“As far as you are. You still have a month to reconsider your decision. Father's advice, listen to your heart!”

Mr. Dirgantara then rose from his seat. Before stepping away, he spoke to Earth again.

“Dad knows you very well. I know what your eyes mean when you look at Dusk at dinner. So, think carefully.”

Earth surprised. It turned out that his father caught him staring at Dusk that night.

After saying that, Mr. Aerospace left Earth itself which was in a state of confusion. Should he follow the advice of his father? But that meant he betrayed his mother's last request to always look after Nesya and marry her.

Nesya? He had no feelings for the woman. Different from Dusk. Unasked, he always wanted to protect the girl he had first met by accident. Is this really a sign from the universe that he is paired with Dusk? He was confused by his own feelings. Is his heart really adrift with Dusk until he does not stop thinking about it?
