59. Should I Betray This Promise?

“Mother?” mumbling Earth when he saw the figure of the mother was embroidered on the balcony of his room.

The earth approached her mother, then sat crouching in front of her mother while raising her head to look at her. His eyes were warming, and the longing in his soul pushed the tears away. He put his head on his lap and his hands hugged his mother's waist.

“Mother, I miss you. Miss you so much. I love you, Mother. You're getting away from me too soon,” a wistful Earth that sounds so heartbreaking. 

“Do you really love mom?” ask the mother who now rubs her child's hair gently.

“Sure I love mom. No need to ask me again about that,” replied Earth in earnest.

“If you love mom, why not grant mom's last wish? You did not fulfill your promise,” said the mother in a disappointed tone.

The earth raised its head and looked towards its mother.

“Is mom disappointed in me?” ask Earth.

His mother just kept quiet and answered nothing.

“I didn't find the light of my life with Nesya, Mom. He's just my little friend. My life came back colorful and glowing when I met a girl named Dusk. I want him as my life partner. I...I love her.”

After saying that his mother figure slowly disappeared from his sight. The earth was shocked and looked around. Right, his mother wasn't there.

“Mother....Mothers....Ibuuuu.

Deg.

The earth immediately woke up to sit on his bed with hunting breath. It turned out that it was just his dream.

“Mother...” wean the Earth with sweat flooding her forehead.

“Should I betray my promise to you mother?” ask the Earth to herself.

The earth moved from its bed to take a drink on the table and gulp it down. His mind was currently very chaotic. The closer the day of his engagement with Nesya, the more hesitant his heart is to continue the engagement?

At breakfast, the Earth was not yet seen sitting at the dinner table. There's only Mr. Aerospace, his wife, and Dimas there. That morning the Earth went down more slowly because last night he had difficulty sleeping again after dreaming of his mother.

Just now Mr. Aergantara asked the servant to call Earth, his son had already come down with all-black clothes. Earth wears a black turtle neck sweater plus a long coat in matching color as a top. The pants he was wearing were also black. It certainly invites question marks in the minds of his family.

“You're not going to the office today?” ask Mr. Aergantara when the Earth is sitting in his chair.

“After mom's grave,” answered Earth briefly and drank a sip of her warm tea.

“You want to go to your mother's grave? Do you miss your mother?” ask Mr. Aergantara again.

Dimas and his mother did not dare to make a sound, they just looked at each other and continued their breakfast. So too with Mr. Aerospace. He asked no more and continued eating.

Mr. Dirgantara very well memorized the nature of his son. If there was something stuck in his heart, he would have gone to his mother's grave. He never told me about what he was going through or how he felt in his heart. He chose silence or told the tombstone of the mother who was unable to give any advice.

After finishing breakfast, Mr. Aerospace restrained the Earth again before he left.

“Earth, there is one more thing I want to ask you,” said Mr. Aergantara.

Earth nodded her mark allowing her father to continue his question.

“It's about your engagement party. How are you preparing for that? Have you chosen what clothes you want to wear later?” ask Mr. Dirgantara.

“Jefri will take care of it,” replied Bumi.

“Building problems, decorations, guests to be invited?”

“No need to worry. Jefri knows what he has to do.”

“Who wants to be engaged to you or Jefri?”

“I.”

“Then why do you look unhappy with your engagement? If you're not sure, you can back off now before it's too late. Even now the news of your engagement has been spread in the media."

The earth breathed heavily. It feels like his head is starting to feel heavy if asked about it again.

“I'm sure,” reply Earth is short.

“After getting engaged, that means you can't back off again, Earth. You know the consequences.”

“I know very well, Dad. This match will go according to the wishes of the deceased mother. This match will only be void if one of us betrays us, but I can make sure I am not the one who betrays us. I go first.”

The earth immediately stood up leaving that place. While Dimas continued to look towards the Earth until his back was no longer visible. Dimas knew his brother was very stubborn. From Earth's answer, he was able to capture that Earth did not put any feelings on Nesya.

Is it possible Kak Bumi also loves Dusk like Dusk loves him? But why is he still insisting on continuing this engagement? It seems I am curious and want to prove myself that Kak Bumi really has feelings for Dusk. Say Dimas in the heart.
