26. Why Aren't You My Matchmaker?

That afternoon Dusk came home from his office at about 5 p.m. It is not directly back home but stop by the beach first to see the sunset again.  

Arriving there, he found a man he knew was sitting at the end of the bridge alone. Today they made no promises to meet. But the man was there.

“Why did you come here too?” asked Dusk and sat down next to the man. Not forgetting he opened his shoes so he could dangle his legs down.

“I should have asked about that. I came here first,” replied the man who was none other than Earth.

“This has been my activity almost every day. Watching the sunset. Do you like this now too?” ask Dusk again. 

“Entahlah. Maybe,” answer Earth briefly.

“Why don't you know? You should be able to ascertain which ones you like and which ones you don't. Not answering I don't know,” said Dusk.

The earth turned towards the twilight. He thought what Dusk said was true. Even for something like this alone he had a hard time determining whether he liked it or not. Especially when it comes to choosing a life partner, he still does not understand his feelings.

“Senja,” call Earth.

“Yes? What's up?” ask Dusk while looking towards the Earth.

“Why didn't your mother come close to my mother?” ask the Earth who made Dusk frown his forehead. Dusk confused why the question of the Earth is so far off there.

“Why did you suddenly ask that? It's weird.” Instead of answering, Dusk asked back.

“If asked, it was answered first. Not asking back,” says Bumi.

“Finally you are so weird. I don't understand why you asked about it,” grumbled Twilight.

“If you don't know, just say you don't know, Dusk,” said Earth began to get upset.

“Indeed I don't know that well. But my mama told me, your mom and her mommy sister Nesya used to take sewing classes together, because they really like fashion. Different from my mom. My mother even took cooking classes, because it was her hobby from the past until now,” class Dusk.

“So therefore my mother is closer to her mother Nesya?” ask Earth.

“I think so. They're the same age after all. My mom was two years younger than them. My dad was lucky to have a younger wife than him,” replied Dusk while chuckling.

Earth also scrambles her hair dusk. He was so happy to see Dusk laugh like that. The smile of happiness emanating from his face was extremely contagious. Just looking at it, Earth also felt her happiness.

Had our parents been friends, you would have been the one who was betrothed to me, Dusk. Why aren't you the only one who's my match? If you're the one who's been betrothed to me, I won't stall for much longer. I'll propose to you soon and make a bond between us, Dusk. Earth in the Heart.

“Eh, look. His eyes are almost setting,” said Dusk while pointing towards the front.

“Come, stand, fast!” exclaim Dusk.

The earth follows the direction of the Dusk. Then Dusk extended his hand to the Earth. Without a doubt the Earth welcomed the hand. Dusk smiled towards the Earth, and vice versa.

As they looked ahead together, the sun slowly began to sink at the end of the ocean, befriending the chirping of birds returning to his house, and the ripples of waves chasing in the ocean.

Dusk took a deep breath and then exhaled it. “May I always be given the opportunity to witness the beauty of this nature,” said Dusk.

“Kita,” Earth correction.

Dusk scrunched his forehead because he did not understand what the words of the Earth meant.

“May we always be given the chance to watch the sunset together,” the Earth reset more clearly.

Even dusk nodded. Seeing the sun go down with someone is more fun than being alone.

“Go home now?” ask Dusk.

Earth shook. “We eat first. I hungry. You're not hungry?”

“Evening you mean?” ask Dusk.

“Iya. Let's have dinner first. After that we just went home. You want?”

“If I don't want to, how?”

“I will force,” replied Earth that makes Dusk laugh.

“I dare not fight Young Master Dirgantara. Later, my papa company cooperation was canceled as well. Ihhhh, afraid,” ledek Dusk then ran away from Earth.

The earth only saw Dusk running without using his shoes. Earth also took the shoes of Dusk left behind and walked after Dusk.
