Chapter 57 The hard choice
My heart was pounding when Dave told me why Laura was in the hospital. Even I don't know what disease Laura is suffering from right now.
It's not that I don't care for Laura. He's my son, there's no way I don't care for him. It's just that when I came earlier, Diana was crying. It's impossible if I don't have the heart to ask about the illness or the cause of Laura being in the hospital right now.
And now I know that from Dave. Just yesterday I thought Diana was so hard upbringing and educating Dave and Laura without me being next to her.
But now I'm not so sure if Diana really takes good care of Laura. I assure my heart not to blame Diana entirely. Diana may be very tired of taking care of Dave and Laura alone every day. So he wants to relax a little.
I tried to understand him even though deep inside my heart still blamed him.
Oh God... What should I do? I think the only way is to force Diana to move with me to the city where I work.
I round out my resolve so that I can force Diana and our children to follow me back there. But it looks like I'll have to wait until Laura gets well and gets out of the hospital.
"Dave's at home with Om and Grandma first huh. Papa's gonna keep Laura in the hospital first" I told Dave when I was leaving to go to the hospital.
Dave nodded and waved his hand as he said,
"Be careful Papa...."
I turned back and smiled at Dave to return the wave of his hand.
"Dave was Dave happy at your current school? Is Dave happy with all of Dave's activities every day?" ask me before I get in my car.
Dave's speechless. He seemed to think for a while, but after that Dave replied,
"Is there a choice?"
I'm interested in Dave's answer. I approached him again and asked him what I wanted to ask him all along.
"How do you want Dave?"
"Dave wants to have more playing time, because Mama only gives an hour to play. And Dave wants Papa to be with us again so that Dave can play ball and go to the amusement park with Papa" Dave said enthusiastically.
I am so sorry for Dave. At this young age, Dave had to study harder than his other friends. And even more sorry because Dave does not have the time to play like children his age.
Indeed I admit if everything makes Dave better in school, but behind all that he must feel depressed because his schedule is more solid than children his age.
I think just add playing time and learning, I'm sure Dave will definitely be the class champion and even the school champion. Because besides Dave is smart, he also has his own desires. Who knows if his wishes are fulfilled for sure he will be happier, and it will affect his academics as well.
"Alright, Papa will try to get Mama to grant Dave's request" I said, rubbing her head.
Dave cheered happily and he kissed me on the cheek. How glad my heart is to see Dave so happy. I'm afraid that all this time he's just been forced to follow all the wishes of Diana.
"Pray Laura to heal quickly, Dave" I said through the window of my car.
I drove my car to the hospital where Laura is currently being treated. With the spirit and accompaniment of prayer in my heart, I want my son to heal quickly and Diana wants me to move to the city where I work today.
Just as I was about to enter Laura's room, at that very moment the doctor came in and checked on Laura.
"How's my son doing, Doc?" I asked the doctor after I finished checking Laura's condition.
"The son of the Father has improved, just please do not give food that can not be digested. Thankful that your child can be handled quickly. If at that time it is not immediately brought here, maybe your child will be worse than this, it could even be critical because of excessive dehydration," the doctor explained it to Alex who seemed shocked to hear about his son's condition.
"When will my child be able to come home?" ask Alex to the doctor.
"Maybe tomorrow, it could be the day after tomorrow. We'll wait for the results of the next examination" the doctor replied to Alex's question.
"Well, thank you doc" Alex told the doctor.
I sat down next to Laura. I looked at her face a long time ago, and I felt guilty for her.
Diana looked anxious, but she did not dare to tell Alex. Because it was certain that her husband would ban her.
"What's wrong? Is there anything I don't know?" alex asked who was feeling a little astonished to see the anxious Diana.
"Mmm.. That's. I want to go out for a while, I'll leave Laura with you. I'm late from now on" Laura replied as she stood tidying her clothes.
"Where are you going?" ask her.
"Arisan with her friend Dave's mama-mama," Diana's reply made me laugh inwardly.
"the Arisan? Is Arisan more important than your son? Laura must be looking for her mother if she wakes up later," I said slightly raising my tone.
"Because I got that speech last week" he replied by raising his tone.
"What do you get out of that cedar who could forget your job of being Laura's mother?" ask me with annoyance.
"A set of diamond-studded jewelry. You won't be able to buy it for me. So, please let me go Arisan for a second. I don't want them to call me a no-no just because I'm a little late" she replied smilingly imagining her jewelry in a jewelry box.
"You're outrageous Diana. I was just going to be quiet, but it turns out you haven't changed, you're worse than yesterday, since you got together with those elites who made you this way now," I can no longer hold back my anger.
"Whatchu mean? Am I wrong? It's not true that you are now almost like a useless man who can only work to make money" Diana said with a smile to underestimate me.
"You. ahh. I can't even say bad to you. Is that all you judge me for? Do you no longer honor me to be a husband and Papa of our children?" I asked her softly because I was really tired of all this.
"I... I asked for a divorce, how? Do you want to divorce me?"
