EX-SOLDIER: In Another World

EX-SOLDIER: In Another World
New World and Meetings - Part 1

His days became ordinary and slow after his early retirement from the military. Not because he wanted to, but because his condition was not supportive. He had lost one of his legs on the battlefield, leaving him to be amputated to save his life. From then on he just spent his time relaxing.

Until at one point he found something that interests him, the FPS Game. As a former soldier, his desire to return to the battlefield still exists, but due to conditions that are no longer possible, FPS games become the solution to his wishes.

Vincent, or more familiar in the safa Vinne when he was still serving. Finding a new hobby after his retirement by playing FPS games. At the age of no longer young, he found pleasure in the game. He could re-experience the battlefield, the visual weapons he had always enjoyed, and more importantly, there would be no real danger if it was just a game. Unlike on the real battlefield, here he did not need to worry about her life. Though the thought of it made his heart ache a little, let alone with an unpleasant reminder with his amputated leg.

Nefarious Jailbreak, one of the games he played. Online FPS games are famous for the various features provided in it, the same as other FPS games but with its own uniqueness.

Games that have many modes such as: Battle Royal, Death Match, Story and others. The variety of weapons on offer is also interesting, ranging from what he knows to ridiculous things that do not make sense such as water balloons that explode like grenades. The creation of characters with various costumes similar to RPG games and other things that are unique from this game. He likes it, especially because the visuals are more realistic than other games and are equipped with sophisticated devices that are able to transfer player awareness into the game with a certain device called Virtual Reality, made him feel the battlefield back virtually.

But...

"Where am I? This isn't a Lobby game."

Vincent said as he looked at the tree line before him, things he had never seen in the game because it had a modern war theme where the battlefield was usually a city or rubble rubble.

In a confused state Vincent senses something that never existed in the game's features.

"Wind gusts, the scent of grass... This... It feels real."

Vincent keeps himself as calm as possible with his strange circumstances as he accesses the HUD menu. There was nothing wrong with anything else in his HUD, he was still able to access his weapon, he said, looking at the inventory and other things but his HP bar was gone and he could not access the Logout button because the button had also disappeared. Vincent performs various reports on GM to forcibly remove him from the game but to no avail.

"... I'm stuck in the game or... Is this all real?"

Vincent broke out in cold sweat as he thought of the latter option. Thinking of him being transferred to another reality was beyond his imagination, let alone in this way. Somehow he has to find a way to go back or ...

"GIII!"

The shrill screams diverted him from his mind. Looking back at where the source of the sound came from, Vincent saw a group of children. At least that was what he thought because of their body size, but in contrast to ordinary children, the small group was completely green, bald and had long pointed ears. A small piece of dirty cloth was used as clothing to cover the ****** they were and they carried a variety of weapons, ranging from rusty short swords, to rusty, black swords, batons that correspond to their size to thick twigs that are made into sticks.

Vincent only saw the small group approaching him, paying close attention to what they were going to do as they approached carefully... Until one of them attacked him with a thick stick he was carrying.

Consciousness finally touches Vincent's mind, the hand he uses to block the attack is painful, one of the things that is impossible in the game because it lacks pain stimulation.

"Damn!"

Vincent in this state decided to defend himself, if the pain he felt was real, what if their rusty swords hurt him? It was a thing that would not be pleasant to feel if the first strike with the stick made an impression.

Vincent takes out two Revolvers he carries, stiffens them in each hand and points the weapon at the green creature that will attack him again.

THE BANG!!

The woodpecker had been pulled and the creature's head broke from the force that Revolver had exerted, causing disgusting brain matter to splash everywhere. If Vincent had no experience in the military, he was sure he would throw up right now.

The little creature attacked together when one of them had been easily killed by Vincent. Vincent, on the other hand, begins to go back and forth when the green creature attacks him, staying away as best he can so that he is not surrounded because it will end badly if it happens.

Shot after shot manages to bring down the green creature, fortunately he's the last mode of the game Vincent carries this weapon which is famous for its deadly attack power due to using the 'Hollow-Point Bullet'. The type of bullet that expands upon impact, causes a more lethal blow without penetrating further than necessary. That's why Vincent could easily break the head of the green creature.

Of the 12teen green creatures that attacked him, Vincent managed to kill 9 of them. But another problem came.

Click! Click! Click!

The revolver Vincent uses is a Colt Python that has a capacity of six bullets in each weapon. Although this weapon is deadly in the game or reality, but one drawback in this weapon is its relatively long refill and will not be effective if used like this.

There's only one thing Vincent can think of right now.

Run away, refill the weapons and finish all this by killing the rest, in hopes that he can make some distance and give him time to recharge his weapons.

So Vincent decided to run away while finding a more open place than to stay in a forest area. First, because his view becomes limited if he stays in the forest area. Second, because the green creatures can hide by utilizing forest areas such as trees or bushes as shelter, making it difficult to aim at them.

After a while of running Vincent finds himself on an open plain, a place he thinks fits. Vincent had kept one of his Revolvers in a holster and was loading the other weapon, carefully occasionally looking back to ascertain the distance, once he felt the distance was safe, he looked back, he turned around to finish the green creature.

"HEY LOOKOUT!!"

Someone screamed to warn him. Fortunately he was just in time to dodge when his body-high baton hit the ground beside him. Vincent condemns his carelessness because he is too focused on the creatures that pursue him and does not pay attention to his surroundings. Vincent who rolled to the side started running back, making a suitable distance so as not to be hit by the attack.

"What the Hell!"

Vincent saw a creature that almost made him bloody pulp. The creature was the same as the little green creature he fought and chased after, he said, but the little green word here does not fit completely because the creature has twice its height with muscles that bodybuilders envy. Plus, not just one but there were three of these green giants!

On the other hand Vincent also saw a small group of three. A man with a sword and shield, wearing an iron armor that he assumed to be a knight. Then there was another man with a bow, he wore leather armor so as not to restrict his movements. Lastly there was a woman who could only be called a witch judged by the pointy hat with the wide edge she wore as well as the strange staff she carried, except for the clothes that were supposed to be loose robes like most witches in his mind, this woman wore rather provocative clothes by revealing a lot of skin for the world to see next to the large robe he was wearing.

"Oh shit!"

Vincent said while avoiding another baton attack. At the same time Vincent managed to refill both weapons. Vincent, who had made a distance from the green giant, immediately pointed his two weapons towards the creature with the position of the weapon tilted, one weapon on top of another weapon as the two weapons were pointed right at the head of the green giant in front of him.

THE BANG!! THE BANG!!

Vincent pulled the trigger of his weapon simultaneously, the recoil of the weapon made his hand cross but it was as expected that he could shoot the next bullet faster without having to aim precisely. Especially since his enemy was in close proximity.

One green giant died with its head smashed like a watermelon, leaving two other green giants with three small green creatures chasing after it.

"BACK OFF!!"

Hearing the warning Vincent took a few steps back, still facing towards the ugly green creature that was intent on killing him. Vincent saw one of the little green creatures fall down with an arrow stuck in the back of his head after a warning given by the man with a bow.

Knowing he has help, Vincent redirects his gun to another giant green creature and fires 4 bullets at once.

'One more down, stay...'

Vincent stops his thinking when he sees the two little green creatures being burned alive by the sorceress? Maybe magic? whatever the woman did because Vincent didn't know what was really going on. He was too busy to dodge and looked for the right position to kill this ugly green creature.

'Okay, I guess there's one.'

Think Vincent, correcting the previous thought. Vincent checked his gun and still has 6 bullets left in his gun, it was enough to fight this creature because he could kill it with two bullets if it hit their head like the first and four bullets in the body would tear the internal organs of this creature from the inside and make them died instantly.

With that confidence Vincent spewed out all the remaining bullets when he was five meters away from the giant green creature, making his weapon sound like it roared like thunder and killing the creature with its shattered internal organs.

His two Revolvers let out smoke at the end of his barrel, using this moment to look cool, especially since there was a beautiful woman looking at him. Vincent blows the smoke out of the end of his Revolver barrel before putting it back into the holster in a circular motion of his Revolver first.

At least, it looks cool in his mind as Vincent continues to stroke his ego with the 'cool action' he takes to defeat the green monster.
