Matilda Stanford wakes up in an unknown bed. It was not the first time such a thing had happened, but it was the first time he was unable to remember what had led him to that unknown bed.
He tried to remember what happened before he lost consciousness. One by one the memories begin to come back to him and connect with each other. He remembers his mission. Find and capture the man known as Vincent, the hero of Angelbarrow.
Simple plan. Persuade him, approach him, and use a venomous needle to immobilize him. He recalled studying his behavior for a few days before executing his plan.
He followed her during one of her rare journeys. For some reason, Vincent began to turn into empty alleys. At the time, he thought Vincent might feel someone was following him. He remembers hitting her while trying to follow her. Being found is not a problem. She's a high-class prostitute. He then tries to seduce her, but Vincent seems more cunning than he thought. He even seemed excited to get away from her.
Then, after that his memories fogged up and his body felt an incredible pain.
The expected thing was that he woke up in a cell or a holding room after the incident, because he thought Vincent knew his intentions. But no, it didn't happen and now he wakes up in a soft mattress and a pretty fancy room. Could Vincent not have known his intentions? No, it was impossible. But why did he end up here? Actually, where is he now?
Looking at the room she was in once again, Matilda had only one assumption. This place is most likely the manor where Vincent lived. He stood up from the bed. That might be a bad idea, but it's his only chance. He needed to escape from the window, but his plan was ruined because as soon as he stood up, he fell back onto the bed. His body could not handle that simple thing after all that happened. Now she felt nauseous and wanted to vomit.
At that moment someone knocked on the door. Matilda tried not to empty her stomach and did not dare to open her mouth for fear of what would come out of her mouth.
After almost a minute of silence, the door slowly opened and from there appeared a tall man in a black coat. Matilda knew the man, it was Vincent, who was now her captor. Vincent may already know who he is and may have an idea of what he wants to do to him. Desperately, he tried to sense if the needle was still up his sleeve. Of course not. It probably fell in the alley where he fainted.
There was only one reason why he was still alive, and that reason was to obtain information. Vincent might torture him until he spills everything he knows and then kills him, or perhaps make him his slave for his pleasure
As his brain deciphered every possible outcome, the man closed the distance between them until he was by his bedside, then sat down on the chair available there. Matilda gulped while sitting down, clearly nervous about what was to come next as her fate was now in the hands of this man.
"How are you feeling? Are you hungry?"
Matilda blinked a few times, she definitely did not expect that. Is this guy playing dumb? but what will be achieved? Vincent already has all the advantages, there is nothing he can do to stop him.
"Hmm, I don't think the surprise will be so great that you won't be able to talk. I thought you weren't bothered by the violence."
Vincent muttered to himself. While Matilda concentrated and used all her strength to open her mouth.
"b- ... I ... Ba-okay .. good .. sa-.. just."
That was all Matilda was able to say, and the moment she saw the face of her captor, it puzzled her. There was concern there, though he could not see clearly most of his eyes as they were blocked by his iconic hat.
"so. You look pale. Maybe something to eat could help. Wait, I'll be back."
Vincent said as he stood up from his chair, walking away to leave the room. Matilda herself is confused by the look, what is the real intention of Vincent?
"Eat, you must be hungry."
Vincent said with a small smile, making Matilda even more confused. Isn't Matilda here as a prisoner? Then why did Vincent treat him like this? What is the purpose of all this?
Putting aside her thoughts, Matilda began scooping the porridge with trembling hands. Trying to put the dish into his mouth but failing, most of the porridge he spilled spilled back into the bowl because his hands did not stop shaking.
Seeing that, Vincent took back the porridge on Matilda's lap which looked disappointed because the food had been taken with a puppy-like expression that had been kicked. What happened next was something Matilda had never thought of in all her thoughts.
"Here, open your mouth." Vincent said while trying to feed Matilda.
The desire to eat made Matilda open her mouth, allowing Vincent to put the warm liquid into her mouth. Matilda they warm liquid it entered into her stomach, soaking her dry throat. Bribe after mouthful continued until the bowl was empty and a feeling of relief swept over Matilda after enjoying the dish.
"Rest, you must be tired and you still look pale. Don't hesitate to call me or the waiter here if you need help. I'll be around the manor for my own business."
With that Vincent stood up and left the room once more, leaving Matilda alone.
Matilda then thought back to herself. His previous feelings of fear were replaced with warmth he had never experienced before.
...Xxvx...
Matilda was born like a child in general, but with the mother of a prostitute and did not know who her father was. Growing up among prostitutes, some toys are willing and some are just broken for the most sadistic customer's pleasure. He learned how to please a man at the age of 10 for the good of his mother, and lost his friendship at the age of 12.
Her mother is beautiful, but she has wasted herself on drugs. She slowly loses her beauty and when she starts losing customers, she becomes paranoid about turning into one of the broken toys and dying from an overdose.
From there Matilda has the determination to never touch drugs and struggles to reach the top of the organization so she doesn't experience the things that happen to her mother or another woman that end up broken.
He's determined for it. Then the luck came a few days ago, his boss, the one who owns the brothel division*l ordered him to do this mission. Kill this guy Vincent and he'll get a promotion, it's that easy.
But his determination was fractured when Vincent treated himself very well. He never, though, did someone treat him in the same respectful manner that Vincent did. Vincent doesn't take advantage of her, he helps her, talks to her, everything she does makes Matilda feel like a normal girl and not a high-class prostitute. No, Vincent doesn't see her as a whore. Vincent sees Matilda as just a less fortunate girl.
Matilda did not like this situation. Does he have to continue his mission? What happens if he can't complete this mission? Is he going to die?
His mind and heart were in conflict at all times. Unable to make a clear decision, too worried between killing Vincent or running away and telling everything about his Organization.
