Hanum's gaze looked blank after hearing what Dio said. Her husband is right if he cannot deny the reality but for now he still feels hard to accept if Divan is said to be not his biological child.
"Don't daydream." Dio admonished his wife by gently patting her shoulder.
Hanum's daydreams about his past with Divan were scattered instantly. She looked at her husband who was staring at her face.
"You can share your story with me to reduce the burden you've been carrying all by yourself." Tawar Dio who can see and feel if so many burdens that Hanum bear alone all this time.
Hanum fell silent with his head starting to bow. "My life since I found Divan is very sad." Hanum said quietly but Dio was still able to hear him clearly.
Dio chooses to let his wife tell him about her past. Realizing that her husband was ready to hear all the stories from his past, Hanum sighed and began to tell her the beginning of finding Divan and what happened after Divan was found in front of his boarding room.
Dio listens to every word that comes out of Hanum's mouth carefully and is occasionally made to round his eyelids because he knows how Divan came from and how the mistreatment of the Hanum family is so unbearable considering Hanum as part of their family again without even listening to Hanum's explanation.
"You could give the CCTV evidence to your parents back then." Dio said after Hanum fell silent about half the events from his past with Divan.
Hanum smiled wryly. "I don't know how the CCTV footage just disappeared when I asked her to go back to the boarding house. And damn it then I didn't have time to copy the CCTV footage as proof that I'm innocent." Hanum.
"Then on my mom's phone?" Tanya Dio recalled Hanum's words if her mother had CCTV footage of it.
Dio fell silent and breathed a rough breath in the air as he recalled the information he got a few years ago from Digo that said his mother's phone was lost while in a shopping mall.
"But were your parents so selfish not willing to believe the words of their own daughter? They can use their eyes properly if for the past nine months your stomach hasn't enlarged or is like a pregnant woman in general." Dio said in an inexhaustible manner.
Hanum rubbed his cheeks that were already wet from tears. His tongue felt faint to explain what had happened back to Dio. But not wanting to make her husband misunderstand her because listening to her half-and-a-half story makes Hanum explain back what happened so that her papa could not see her for the past nine months before Divan was discovered.
Dio who listened to the explanation from Hanum could instantly catch something wrong. "You said that your papa's wife was your connecting mother, right?" Dio asked and was taken in weakly by Hanum. Dio's face turned cynical believing what he was thinking. "Have you never been suspicious of your stepmother and stepbrother? They may not tell you there's no strangeness in your stomach when you occasionally go home to them." Dio.
