When are you getting married?
"Son. Daddy and Mommy can't be sure how long we can keep you alive in this world, son." Both of Daddy Berto's eyeballs began to glaze over after saying so. Even with Mommy Diora who joined in tears after listening to the words of her husband.
"What does Daddy mean when Daddy wants Cal to get married?" Ask Calista.
Daddy Berto nodded in agreement. "Mommy and Daddy really hope you can move on with your life well after you split from Dio. Mommy and Daddy are hoping you can accept the new guy in your life, son." Said Daddy Berto.
Calista let out a breath that felt even more heavy. "I'm sorry Cal, Daddy. I'm sorry Cal, Mommy. For now, Cal can't. Cal has not been able to accept another man present in Cal's life. Cal still wants to be alone." Answer Calista.
"But until when do you want to shut yourself down like this, son? Your age is growing. Daddy and Mommy are getting older too." Daddy Berto.
Chief Calista bowed. "Give Cal time, Daddy. Cal knows Cal has been a selfish woman who doesn't care about Daddy and Mommy already wants to have a grandchild and Cal's partner wants to get married. But Cal asks once more please give Cal some time. At the moment Cal still wants to focus on Cal's work. Cal does not want if forcing to be with new people will make the man who is with Cal back disappointed and touched because Cal's attitude is more concerned with his career than he is." Obviously Calista.
Mommy Diora and Daddy Berto look at each other. If this is the case they find it difficult to give understanding to their daughter again because they are the ones who must understand what Calista is feeling right now.
"Mommy and Daddy don't know if losing Dio isn't easy for Cal. Cal must get used to living without news of him and must let him be happy with his current life." Calista then.
"But when do we wait, son?" Daddy Berto finally asked.
Calista stared at Mommy and Daddy's face in turn. "Give Cal a few more months to think. Give Cal some time to fix Cal's messy life right now." Answer Calista.
"Mommy hopes that over the next few months there'll be a man who catches your eye, son." Please Mommy Diora.
Calista just smiled. In his heart he felt unsure if there was still a man who could attract his attention like Dio.
That night Calista returned to his room with a load of questions from his parents.
When will he get married?
This question seems to have been asked twice by different people. First Rose and second Daddy.
Calista knew she was no longer young. He planned to get married before he turned thirty. But what to say. The man she loved was not destined for her. The man was happy with the woman of his choice. And now he has to find a new man to be his partner if he has to get married.
New guy? Agh, just thinking about it already contains Calista dizzy and not interested in looking for him.
Never mind, instead of thinking about a life partner, Calista prefers to compile material that he will teach tomorrow morning to his students.
