THE DRRT! THE DRRT!
Early in the morning, Toni narrowed her eyes looking at the phone under the dim sleeping lights. He felt like he had just closed his eyes. But it turns out that the clock on the nightstand shows almost five in the morning. He squinted. Wulan called. Toni smiled a thin smile. No need to ask again why Wulan still memorized his mobile number. That number is the preferred number of a customer service provider who is now his ex-wife.
“Sayang ...,” Toni said in a raucous voice.
Wulan was silent for a moment. It seemed that the woman was aghast to hear Toni's voice from across the phone. “I didn't work today. The car doesn't have to be anted here. If you can not be parked in your office as well,” said Wulan.
Toni was still composing the scattered pieces of her soul. She rubbed her eyes and pulled her hair. Wulan asked him not to take the car to the office or to his apartment. Mean what? He scratched his head back. Then ….
“Oh, okay. You want to rest, right? Yeah, had. Don't need to do the office first. I parked my car at home.”
“Do not in your home. I'm afraid your mom will nanya—”
“Mami rarely comes out, Lan …. Only in the house with wheelchair.”
“Sorry. If so, it's up to you where. I just want to rest. Don't want to be disturbed. If my car looks like it's here. I'm worried—”
“You rest. The rest of me will settle. If there is anything contact me,” Toni said.
After agreeing with Toni's words, Wulan ended the conversation. And that morning, he left by car to the office and still left Wulan's car at his home.
“Morning Sir,” greet Musdalifah from behind his desk.
“Pagi—eh, Mus!” Toni immediately approached her secretary's desk. “How was yesterday? No problem, right?”
“No, coke. Later if it is not very important, you do not need to go to the Police Station. Let that guy come with.”
“Si who is it?” ask Tony, a little confused.
“Pak Santoso, he means.”
“That, dong. Anything to do today?” ask Toni.
“Nine o'clock in the morning, we go to Danawira's law office to chat a little more. Yesterday, right, it was just me and Mr. Mustafa. Because—”
“Oke-okay. Nine o'clock, yes …. We'll be leaving soon. I went inside first. Bring the transport papers yesterday, Mus. I checked it before I left.” Toni tapped her finger on the table Musdalifah then passed.
After finishing the most important bit of work of the day. Toni rushed out of the office with Musdalifah. Straight to Dean's office.
At 09.15 they have been breezing on one of the floors of an office building that Danawira occupies’s Law Firm for approximately eight years.
Toni headed straight for Dean's office at the very end of the floor. The largest room on the right side is a glass room where Ryan used to be. That morning, Ryan's room was empty, but his computer was on. It was a sign that the man had arrived.
From outside Toni could hear Dean's voice speaking in a commanding tone as usual. Without knocking, Toni opened the door.
“Whispering! Still morning! Lo from yesterday is always noisy ruining people's mood. Noisy to tell me to go home.” Toni thought Dean would be surprised by his presence. Turns out his best friend was even flocking him with scolding. Plus the crazy singing in the morning.
“Well, elo single. I have a home, I have parents. But I don't have a bini. Anyway, you have to go home. Different amu. I don't go home, so I can sing directly gini ...”
“I'm not ordinary
When sleeping with pants
I'm not ordinary
when I sleep without your trunk
I'm not ordinary.”
Toni is really amused. Dean usually just acts crazy with all of them and Ryan. In front of his wife, Dean always keep his wife for certain things. But that morning, Dean was not aware of the existence of Musdalifah who was behind Toni's body.
As he stared at Musdalifah, Dean fell silent at once.
The caliph who came out most recently, closed the door obediently.
“Good,” Dean said, crossing his arms around his chest still leaning against his desk. “Should before entering, you stayin secretary outside.”
“Who would have thought you were live concert singing crazy lo's song. Thank God I asked Mus out. If not? Can-can lo abis the song directly sing, ‘Oh, bird ... enter. Tell him, I want’. Your mouth is sometimes worried,” Toni said. He walked to the sofa and threw his body there.
Dean laughed out loud as he walked towards the sofa. “So keinget our golden times with mic in hand, yes, dear ...” Dean laughed again.
“Crazy people! Very excited lo,” sergeant Toni.
“The cheerful morning the sign is all fulfilled."
“Can-can send middle message malem just to tell me to go home. Ruin my mood,” Toni said.
“My youngest failed son fussed. Here I ask his son to be carried. Kasian said. Yes, already .. as a good father, I momong son an hour. Here I go on, you've come home what a belly. She looks like a ama lo. And I understand, you can't possibly not go into Wulan.” room Dean sat across his legs from Toni.
“Sok tau ..,” pout Toni.
“Lo's heartbeat sounds whimpering to my house. Don't lie.” Dean chuckles.
"You should be able to say something to calm down your bini. Create the impression I'm this good man in charge."
"Okaya bini, I have my own calming method. No need for a lot of snoring. Obviously, he slept well until morning" Dean said.
"Lo's mind ...."
GECK! GECK! GECK!
“Come in,” said Dean turned towards the door.
Musdalifah comes in with a tray of two cups of warm tea. The woman poured a cup of tea on Toni. “Pak .. This is the tea. There is no macem tea. So I do what there is. Black teas. If you usually use one sugar, here I add half. Because the tea is a bit bitter for sure. Later next time, if here I bring tea from our office.”
Toni directly raised her teacup and sipped the tea a little. “Enak, box, Mus.” Then he went back to drinking his tea without looking at Dean.
“Thank you, Sir.” Musdalifah then lowered his head back to shove the other cup at Dean. “Please, Sir. This is Mr. Ryan asking for antherin. That makes not me,” said Musdalifah.
“Ckckck ... amazing,” decak Dean, look at Toni and her secretary.
“Then I'll excuse you. Later if there is a need to be able to call me again,” said Musdalifah, holding back his tray. But he was only two steps to the door, when Santoso arrived in the room and knocked on the open door.
GECK! GECK! GECK!
“Nah .. This is it,” Dean said.
“Wah .. pantes outside overcast,” says Santoso, suddenly.
“Emang overcast?” toni asked, looking towards the open glass wall.
“Beyond overcast, because the light is again here ..” said Santoso, looking at Musdalifah.
“Mampus ...,” muttered Toni, staring at Santoso.
“Basic ...,” murmured Musdalifah.
While Dean was laughing clapping. “Don't do that, you know, Mus …. Now the good looking lose ama funny and make comfortable. Cie .. Santoso,” tempt Dean.
Musdalifah threw a stern look at Santoso and Dean.
