15. Eavesdropping

The village hall this morning was filled with villagers. There is a show of salvation held there. An orchestra was prepared to entertain the villagers present.

Chairs for invited guests have been prepared beside the stage. Doctor Nathan who was one of the invited guests was already sitting next to Joko. Nathan sat on the front bench according to the reception instructions. The chairs there have been arranged in such a way.

The question made the person sitting beside Nadia slightly startled. From earlier he eavesdropped on the conversation of the boss and his men. From the formal talk. But a second later his bodyguard was talking casually like a friend.

Nadia chuckles. He manages to lure Joni not to talk formally with him.

"I'm sorry Madam." Nadia clucking.

"What are you afraid of? What kind of reason did I make for you to drain Jon's money?"

"Where do I know? Think for yourself." Joni's angry. He remembers the punishment Nadia received for being caught giving money to a skill offender. Nadia was lashed five times for it.

"This time won't catch Jon."

"You haven't caught Nad."

"The punishment is too light for me."

"Whatever."

"Jon, don't you need me now?" Nadia glanced at her husband who was busy dancing on stage.

"Looks. Roll over your life it's found a new roll for tonight." Joni sneered. Nadia just smiled wryly.

"I'd cheer if every day was like that."

"Curtain! You don't seem to have memorized the nature of your roll."

"That's already Jon's famous. There is no need to be his wife to memorize his nature. Never mind. Let's just take me to your dad's house."

"Will you look for it?"

"Do I need to get the young lady's medicine?"

"No need to bother Mr. Kades. I'm just a little tired. A short rest will surely heal soon."

"Alright young lady. Thank you for coming. Be careful on the road." Nadia passed soon. Leaving the party crowd escorted Joni behind her. Some people got out of the way when Nadia passed by. Paving the way for Bondan's beloved wife.

Joko who knows what Nathan's doctor is doing starts talking. He also quietly observed Nathan's activities from earlier.

"That was Joni's doctor. Young Madam's special bodyguard. The two were friends since childhood. So it's familiar. Moreover, Joni's wife is a friend of Nadia." explained Joko who gave a little explanation to Nathan. At first Nathan thought that Nadia was playing behind her husband.

"I don't care about Joko."

Joko just smiled. He knew if there was any visible relief in the young doctor's eyes. He knew what the doctor thought of Nadia before.

His sister's family life was greatly helped by Nadia's efforts. He is not willing if Nadia gets bad thoughts from others. Joko is very confident that Nadia is a good person.

Both eyes Nathan was wide open to see the Bondan back with the singer. The singer was twitching spoiled on the old man's arm.

"Juragan Bondan is like a doctor." whispered Joko.

"But why does he look indifferent?"

The two people who had just sat in his chair were still continuing their actions to tease each other. Dr. Nathan began to worry about seeing and hearing both.

"Joko, right Nadia said. Her husband had forgotten who had come with her earlier."

"Let's go home too. The atmosphere is getting hot."
