A month has passed after graduation. Nara eventually decides to work in Alex's office instead of continuing her S-2 education. And Alex of course is happy to accept it.
It's been two weeks that Nara has been working as Alex's personal assistant. The task of preparing all the needs of Alex. Also accompanied the man along with Gibran when there was a meeting outside the office.
There is a lot of gossip about that. Employees commented that Nara used her status to get a job. Nara also had no intention of explaining. And all of that is true anyway.

“Tired.” Nara sits herself on the couch in the living room as soon as she and Alex reach the mansion. Alex is busy today. So as his assistant, he automatically also has a lot of work.
“I told you to sit quietly at home.” Alex stroked the top of Nara's head.
“I'll die of boredom.” Nara glanced at Alex lazily.
“You can also go for a walk. Or shop.”
“It was also boring. I don't have any friends now. Syifa and Gita have left for foreign countries. Vera is also busy with her work.” Complain Nara.
“Ya. Tomorrow is the weekend. We'll rest at home all day. I'm going upstairs first.” Alex stroked Nara's cheek before leaving Nara, who was laying on the couch.
Nara grabbed the bag that she had thrown on the table when her fatigue was reduced. He was about to stand when Mak Jum came and told them that they had a guest.
“Who Mak?” nara asked as Mak Jum hesitated to tell her who their guest was as she asked.
“Ah just let me see.” Nara was impatient and breezed into the living room.
A weak-looking middle-aged woman sat down by lowering her head. His clothes don't look like he's from a rich family. He even wears rubber sandals that look shabby. Nara watched the woman closely. Trying to remember if he knew the woman. But no matter how hard he tried, he felt he did not know even see it.
“Sorry, do I know you?” nara asked as she sat on the sofa.
Hearing Nara's voice, the woman slowly raised her head. Nara is sure that the woman will look beautiful if she looks neat. But unfortunately the appearance is covered with clothes that are too ordinary, also his face that looks dull.
And what made Nara surprised was the look of the woman's eyes that looked disappointed. What the hell is going on?
“Darling why you haven't even climbed to..” Alex's voice was cut off when he reached the living room. Alex's shady gaze turned giddy in an instant.
“Why did you come here?” yelled Alex loudly.
“Whose dearest is he?” Nara slowly approached Alex who looked very creepy.
“Sorry. Excuse me. Sorry.” The woman suddenly knelt down while sobbing. He lowered his head again. His body trembled with sobs that sounded bitter.
“I don't need your apologies. Get out of my sight now!” Alex re-raised his tone. Made the woman up in shock.
“What is this really? Baby, who is he? Why are you talking rudely to her?” Nara is confused. He knew Alex was a cruel man. But she was just a helpless old woman.
“Don't blame him. I was wrong. I was an evil mother. I..”
“Still dare to call yourself a mother huh?!” Alex's eyes were angry. On the other hand, Nara was very surprised to find the truth. The woman turned out to be her mother-in-law.
“I'm sorry mom Lex. Mama is guilty of you. But where there is no other option.” Serena is getting sobbing.
“Huh! There's no other choice. We went to chase other men so you could be happy. And left your little son to suffer under the care of your cruel husband. It's great! You're great!” Alex chuckles ridiculously at the woman he once called his mother.

“Stop calling yourself my mama. My mother's been dead since she left me twenty years ago. Now out.” Shouted Alex loudly. He pointed sharply at the increasingly sobbing woman in front of him.
“Darling, please forgive mom. Anyway, she's still your mother.” Nara touches Alex's arm. Swiping lightly.
“You don't know what he's doing baby. It's not good to defend him. Let's go up.” Alex pulls Nara to leave Serena.

Nara turned her head and immediately ran when she saw Serena fall unconscious. Immediately he lifted Serena's head and hugged her.
“Lex quick help.”
“No.” Reject Alex firmly.
“How can you do that to your mama?”
“Ahk!” Alex doesn't want Nara to think badly of him. He eventually relented and lifted Serena into the guest room. Nara immediately called the doctor to check on the woman.
Alex invites Nara to talk seriously about Serena when the doctor examines the middle-aged woman.
“I don't want him to stay here.” Alex refuses Nara's proposal.
“Mama is old. His health is also bad. We can't let him live indistinctly out there.”
“He is guilty.”
“But he apologized. Is your heart as hard as a rock to your own mother? What if I'm guilty you'll be so to me too?” Nara is pinning Alex.

“But we are both women. I can't see any woman let alone an old woman living a life of suffering. What if I experience the same thing later?”
“I won't let that happen.”
“Then from that, let mama stay here. I beg.” Nara pleaded with me.
Alex closed his eyes when he saw Nara's eyes that started to glaze over.
“Good. But don't force me to do more.” Hearing Alex's approval, Nara immediately hugged her husband.
