...CHAPTRE 20...
...England ...
In the middle of where Indi was standing, the flashes of the previously spinning memory now stopped, and began to fade away, leaving nothingness. Around Indi now there is only a stretch of kegelepan. Raut Indi still shows emptiness. Even the aura of Indi could no longer be felt. His eyes were still open, his nose was still exhaling, even the sound of his heartbeat was still heard.
“I succeeded,” Noella's voice broke the silence floating in that place.
Like the five characters from the Umbrella Academy series, Noella appeared from nowhere right in front of Indi. Her lips are now smiling at her special smile. Even the dark purple color of his lipstick was still densely adorning his lips.
“Thank you for believing in me, baby,” Noella said with one of her hands caressing Indi's cheeks.
“I won't let you down. Also the same children as you, who have voluntarily given their souls to create a bright future for people who are like us,”
The gothic woman then took a few steps back. He pulls and then exhales. His mouth began to paw at something. Looks like incantations.
*id. Indi*b*. Indi heard. There was another voice that Indi heard.
Indi, awake! The voice, which only Indi seemed to be able to hear, saw Noella's reaction. And somehow, Indi's consciousness, began to return thanks to that voice.
Slowly Indi's vision, which had been empty, caught a blurry image in front of him. Indi did not know how to scientifically explain what he was experiencing at this time, because he had thought that in a soul trap that he happened to make himself, he was in, things related to nature in his mind no longer exist, but it turns out that many things are more magical than he expected.
Indi's vision was still dim because of the light that came out of nowhere. Indi scrunched his eyes. In front of him now stands the figure of a woman dressed in all white, ranging from a leather blazer, cloth pants, to the boots she wore. What is clear is that he is too cool to measure an angel who will take him to the final world, thought Indi.
“Finally we can meet without any interference, my son,” said the voice was soft.
Hearing those words, Indi's vision slowly returned to light. The woman in front of him is not an angel, maybe it is for Indi but not literally. The woman's face shared the same facial line as Indi's.
“Mama?”
The woman then stretched her hands forward. Without warning, Indi quickly ran to drop his body in a hug that he had not felt for a long time. Somehow he worked, his eyes were now moist because they were soaked in tears. Although overwhelmed by hundreds of questions about how his mother was, Inggrit could exist in this place. This time he didn't care. He had been overwhelmed for too long by things that removed the source of his happiness. She was so happy that she even forgot how to speak.
“I miss you too,” said Inggrit, who seems to know what Indi, his only child, thinks.
Both are now drowning in longing. Until one of the questions that was so striking from inside Indi's head took over. What if what he saw was not his mother, but one of the things from Noella's play, or the hallucinatory part of the spell he had activated? Immersed in his own thoughts, Indi immediately released a hug from Inggrit.
“You can't be real. How did you get here?” Ask Indi.
Inggrit boasted his smile, bringing up dimples that were only on his right cheek.
Indi certainly has hundreds of questions that can prove whether the woman in front of him, is his mother or just part of another illusion created by Noella. But all he had in mind was just one. And according to him, the question he will ask is a question that can represent everything, and not if you think that what Indi will ask is his date of birth (he is not too stupid for that one thing).
“What is the name of the food that always fails to be made by Mama even though she has read recipes and watched tutorials on Youtube, but always successfully made by Indi?” indi said with confidence. Up to the point he realized that mind reading was one of the few abilities of indigo.
Inggrit no longer seemed to be able to hold back his laughter. She had obviously been reading her daughter's mind, which was sometimes a little silly.
“I obviously don't have to read your mind, for the look on your face is little Ili Ili Mama. And maybe instead of thinking about mind reading, I would rather suggest, to feel the aura. Considering you have all the indigo abilities,” Goda Inggrit.
Why was it unthinkable for Indi. All I had to do now was close my eyes, and feel its aura. The next few seconds, Indi was silent, and slowly began to sob. He is now just like he was in the past when he knew the news of his dead mother.
“Why, why, why Ma?” said Indi stammered while holding back his sobs.
“Why should Indi. Why should it be now. Why can't I ever have the same life. Why would you lie if you were gone. Why don't you look for me. Why you never told me about any of this. You don't know how much I have to go through, how much sadness I have to go through. I, I-“ Indi could not continue his words, he just continued his sobs.
“I hardly even know you anymore,” continued Indi.
The English themselves could only remain silent. He knew that the answer could not summarize all that his daughter had experienced. Inggrit looked at Indi guiltily. He knew what he was doing was not the right thing. However, there are things that make him forced to do all those things.
“You can blame me for all that Indi. I realized that I've never been a good mother, not even a good one for you. But one thing I can be proud of is the way I raised you-“ Inggrit clasped Indi's hands together.
“and that is trust. I always believed in you. Even when you are still learning how. And now I've seen the results. When I myself can only run from the reality that is in front of me,” said Inggrit.
“I know, if you still can't accept everything that's happened. I might not even be worthy of your apologies anymore. But believe me Indi, all the things I do are solely because I love you,”
“Then what are you doing? Makes me look stupid and feel like I lost you, and also dad?” indi vented his emotions. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but Indi could not hold it anymore.
Inggrit was still drowning in a look of sadness and guilt. He took a deep breath, then placed both hands on Indi's cheeks. He then leaned his forehead against Indi's forehead. He realized, if at this time there is not much he can do, besides prioritizing the safety of Indi.
“You may not know it now, but someday you will understand that everything I do is for your safety only. Because I love you, now and forever. Indi Elisa, my only daughter,” said Inggrit and then kissed Indi's forehead.
