Indian Go!
Chapter 6: Episode 26

CHAPTRE 6

Elf Ambassador

Indi hated himself. He hated himself who always felt happy and sad at the same time. On the one hand Indi was happy because he did not have to be in the ghost bus, and he managed to stop Liona who possessed the ghost of a very skilled girl with fire.

He was proud to save his friend. But on the other hand, he was sad for hurting his own friend. Not to mention the incident of the backpack that “ accidentally” burned.

That made Indi, Fanny, and Liona had to limp\-tie along the road to get to the city. At least this time there is hope with the word city they always call\-touted. From afar, they can see the city lights.

It was just that they had to go back on their way, through the decline, with the dense forest on their right left. Not to mention the fact that Jeannet the ghost girl left on the bus, makes Fanny feel guilty.

Fanny looked shivering and sad. Since he was sitting with his own embrace, “I should have pulled him too.”

Today's incident was enough to make Indi shocked. The stench from the ghost bus was still evident in his memory. Indi may not be good at leadership, but there was nothing more they could have hoped for at the time.

“That's not your fault, after all I'm sure the naughty ghost will definitely find a way to return. We have to keep going, the city is getting closer. At least there we can find something to eat and stay. Here too dangerous.”

“All the money I brought was in the burned bag,” said Fanny reminded. “So also with supplies and change of clothes. So how do we walk now? Not to mention Liona who is still not so recovered.”

Indi wanted to refute him, he had already taken pains to save them. He even had to give up his long hair that was shortened by burning. Not to mention the charred smell from his clothes. He really looks like a bully.

“I can still walk,” said Liona tried to stand limped.

Indi felt sorry for the boy. He was the only one who did not complain despite all the injuries he had. Maybe even the worst.

“I don't need you to protect. I must be fine\-all. Let's continue the journey.” Said Liona who was even hard-pressed to stand.

“I'll carry you,” said Indi, “You don't have to force yourself,”

Hearing that made Liona's face look offended. “What do you mean? Don't think me weak. I'm not a kid to carry!” his weakness.

Hearing that made Fanny and Indi fight each other. “What do you mean?”

Liona knitted her brows, “So all this time you guys didn't know? It's only fitting that your treatment of me is always strange. I'm not a kid! I'm fourteen years old!”

After a few minutes of walking, Fanny fingers Indi, “Listen, I..” her voice disappears. “I thank you. You saved us.”

Indi smile “We're friends right?”

Fanny was silent for a few steps. “I also want to apologize. Maybe you don't know this yet, but I honestly hated you,”

“I know, and it's the past\-“

“I'm not talking about the incident in the stupid dorm! Everything I did in the dorm was a mere role, due to the demands of Maddam Noella,”.

“What is the act of attacking me, lifting me up with my legs up, a cynical look, and all your ridicule including?”

“Of course! I don't hate you for that. But, I hate you because Catherine was so protective of you. He was even willing to stay there and ask me to take you out of UCI.”

That night was so dark. Indi could not see Fanny clearly, but she could feel her sadness and anxiety. Indi may not be able to read what Fanny is thinking now, but she knows that the discussion about Catherine will make the atmosphere more complicated.

“When did you log in at UCI?” Indi asks, trying to divert Fanny's mind about Catherine.

“Seven years, and since then I've always been there.”

“Where did you live before?”

It took him a few seconds to answer that, “The orphanage. Maybe UCI is not a good place, but that's where my home is,” explained Fanny, her words began to scatter.

“Although, in the hostel I had to force myself to do something that I did not like, such as sword or archery. And I never even understood why I kept doing it for seven years.”

“At least seven years at UCI make you proficient in acting,” Indi said.

Indi could not see it clearly, but he was sure that Fanny was smiling right now.

“I had a chance to think of something,” he said, “Through the incident on the bus earlier, there are things that continue to disturb me..”.
