Indian Go!

Indian Go!
Episode 28's

Behind the counter, a “giant” man with a face too sinister for a cashier stood up, then smiled at them. The man was wearing a black denim hat and a black shirt, which read I “SENANG” WORKS HERE, which gave Indi's hair goosebumps.

“I hope he has food,” whispered Fanny.

Indi advanced to the cashier's table, but also kept a distance of one meter from the man. Watching too many movies makes him paranoid about the stranger in front of him.

He sighed, and tried to think of the exact reason why the three girls who were covered in wounds, were in a shop selling strange items as souvenirs, at night.

“Some of which can I help you? Why can girls like you be away from the city, at night?” asked the man in a heavy voice and a language accent that Indi had never heard before.

“Eh... we are about to travel, to the village eh.” Indi started to say.

“Yes but on the way, our car had an accident,” Fanny continued.

“Accident?” said the man, “Really?”

“Yes, our car tire exploded, thus making the steering wheel screwy and lost control. Our car then drove into the forest, and hit a tree. That made us have to get down from there. Not to mention our phone became damaged by it and we were injured, we kept walking to seek help until we found this place.” Liona was clear out loud. It was clear that this girl was watching too many drama movies.

“Oh, poor girl\-girl,” said the man again\-again with his odd accent. “You come in the right place, you can rest and take care of your wounds\-wounds here. There's a place for you to sleep in the back of the store. Rest there, I'll find something for you to eat.”

Wow, Indi does not believe what she heard, but it seems that the man is also a lover of drama, because it is easy to believe the reason made by Liona. At least they don't have to sleep in the woods, and most importantly, get food for free.

“I told you, fairies are good to humans.” Indi said proudly.

They thanked him, and went inside. At the back of the store is also filled with strange souvenirs. There was a bone from a horse, whose head looked hollow, there was a frame filled full of beautiful flowers that Indi had never seen before. Indi thought, what kind of people sell these strange objects as souvenirs of mementos.

The three of them entered the room room, behind the shop. The room looked more normal than the store outside. Fanny and Liona instantly lay down when looking at the mattress.

The room only had one bed. On the wall of the room was a picture of the shopkeeper, and a frame displaying some preserved fireflies.

Indi looked curious about the display. Unlike fireflies in general, which are so small in size. Fireflies displayed on the frame, had a size that looked larger.  Indi was about to take the display off the wall, but it was stopped by the knocking sound of the door.

“Hey, I'm preparing food for you. After resting you can go to the kitchen, you just need to walk straight to the right of this room.” The man said from behind the door, with a smile so sinister for Indi.

“Thank you.” Reply Indi.

A few minutes later, the three girls headed to the kitchen. And sure enough, there was a round dining table, refrigerator, and the giant man who was cooking something. The smell of his cooking really made them even hungrier.

Looking at the three girls, the man then put the food he had just finished cooking on the table.

“Come sit,” said.

“Eh, is it okay\-what? We really\-trouble you.” Fanny said stale.

“Of course. I often help people\-people like you.” Obviously the man.

On the court table, meat-filled bread, steak, and also hot chocolate. Complete with potato goring with large portions. Without the cue the three girls devoured the food in front of them. Indi even had forgotten how to breathe during eating.

“What are you alone here?” ask Liona.

He ate nothing. Surprisingly, from earlier, the man seemed reluctant to take off his hat. Perhaps the customs in this country are different inner Indi. But if this man was in his house, wearing a hat while eating would certainly be considered impolite.

“So, what souvenirs do you sell? Because I found some strange things on display,” asked Indi in a tone that tried to make the man not offended.

“Ehm, most of what I sell are insects, sometimes also flowers, and some wild animals,”

“Is a business like this quite in demand?”

The man laughed, “Of course. I made a lot of money at the beginning of my business. Various people from all over the country ordered the souvenirs that I made, and they decorated them with expensive prices,” obviously the man looked proud.

“Unfortunately, lately my efforts have been in decline. I rarely find insects or wild animals in this area. This makes me almost bankrupt.” His welcome with his sad face \(which remains terrible\).

Hearing that made Indi sad. Although the face of the man looked terrible, but he seemed to have a good heart.

“Then what are you doing with your business right now?” Asked Fanny who also looked pity.

The man then looked at Indi, “Let's just relax, I'm currently starting a new business. Although not as it used to be, but the business that is now quite brings a big profit. Especially orders on today.” Evidently.

Indi did not know what business he meant, but he was happy for the man, “I am happy,” said Indi.

“Thank you. I wouldn't be able to do it without you guys anyway.”

“Ehm, Indi” Fanny nudged Indi while whispering. “My feelings are bad. There's something strange about the man,” he said tensely.

“What do you mean? He's obviously going to help us, right? After all the fairies that brought us here, and they couldn't possibly have meant any harm to us,”

“Since we got in here, I've been trying my best to read his mind. But can't,” said Fanny.

“You may just be exhausted, so you can't read his mind. Remember Fanny, it is too late for us to continue the journey, and the distance to the city is still quite far,” Indi tried to convince.

The place looked strange, but Indi did not want to leave. He did not place any suspicion on the man, after all the good he had done to them.

“Ehm, you know, Indi was having a strange thing before coming here,” said Fanny trying to attract the man.

“What is it?” Ask the man.

“He saw the fairies, and they led us here.”

Hearing that made the man's expression slightly changed, surprised like it, but then back to how it was, “Yes, some people who visit this area do often see strange things, fairies for example.” It was clearly the man who made Liona stop chewing on her sandwich.
