King Triton, the mighty King of the Seas, had many daughters. They love the underwater world, where they live. But Ariel, his youngest child, dreams of a world above the surface of the water, the world of man. Although her father had warned her not to go there, Ariel ignored her. He often swims to the surface of the sea.

Ariel and her best friend, Flounder, love to visit Skatel the seagull. Skatel tells them about all the human stuff Ariel found on the seabed. One day Triton finds out that Ariel often goes to sea level. Triton was furious. He's worried about Ariel's safety. So he asked his trusted friend, Sebastian the crab, to watch over Ariel.

A few days later Ariel saw a ship passing by on the surface of the sea. “Man!” ariel exclaimed as she quickly swam closer to the ship. “Oh, no!” shouts Sebastian. Quickly he and Flounder chased after Ariel.

When Ariel appeared on the surface of the water, she saw a large ship full of sailors singing and dancing. Ariel's eyes glowed when she saw the dashing young man whom the sailors called Prince Erik. Ariel fell in love at first sight. Suddenly the sky darkened and lightning struck. Prince Erik's ship was no match for that terrible storm. The ship was tossed about by the waves and Prince Erik was thrown into the sea.

“I have to save him!” shouted Ariel. He grabbed the Prince who was about to drown, then he swam to the beach. Prince Erik pulled it into the sand. Prince Erik did not move when Ariel touched his face gently and sang a beautiful love song for him. Shortly after, Ariel hears the Prince's men looking for her. He doesn't want to be seen by humans. So, he kissed the Prince, then he quickly dived back into the sea.

Prince Erik regained consciousness and found Sir Grimsby, his loyal servant, by his side. “What happened?” Ask Sir Grimsby. He's happy Prince Erik is alive. “There are girls,” said the Prince who still looks confused. “A girl saved me and sang. Her voice is so sweet. I've never heard that sound. I want to find the girl and I want to marry her!” Apparently Prince Erik has also fallen in love.

King Triton is furious when he learns that Ariel is in love with a human. She immediately swam to the cave where Ariel kept her collection of belongings. “Dad, I love him!” said Ariel, “I want to be with her!”. “He's human! Fish-eater!” shout Triton, “Can't!” The trident of the tract. His lightning strikes destroyed all of Ariel's beloved possessions. Then the Ocean King left. Ariel covered her face and cried.

Meanwhile, not far away, an evil force was at work in the underwater kingdom. Ursula, the Sea Witch, who once ruled the underwater kingdom before Triton, is looking for a way to overthrow Triton. Through his crystal ball, he could see Ariel crying. He got the idea, “I can beat the King of the sea through his son.”

Ursula sends a pair of her eel servants, Flotsam and Jetsam, to Ariel's cave. They manage to convince Ariel that Ursula can help her get the Prince she loves. Ariel is so sad that she ignores Sebastian's warnings and joins Flotsam and Jetsam to meet the Sea Witch.

“I have an offer for you, sweet boy,” said Ursula when Ariel had entered her nest. “Offer?” Ask Ariel innocent. “Yes,” said the Witch, “I will make you human for three days and you will meet your Prince. If you can make him kiss you before sunset on the third day, you'll be together forever, as a human being. If she doesn't kiss you, you'll turn back into a mermaid, and you'll be my prisoner! And the reward for this offer is your voice,” said the witch. “My voice?” ariel asked in surprise, “I won't be able to talk or sing. How can I make the Prince fall in love with me?”. “You will still have your beautiful face,” replied Ursula.

After Ariel approves Ursula's offer, the Sea Witch uses her magic power. A surprising change is happening. Ariel's tail is gone. He has two legs and is now a human being. At the same time his voice left his body and was captured in a shell. When he wants to find the Prince, Ariel helped his best friends to the beach. He tried to speak to them, but no sound came out.

In the next two days, Prince Erik liked Ariel, but he still missed the girl who had a sweet voice. While boating together, Prince Erik kissed Ariel. Unfortunately Flotsam and Jetsam turned their boat around. “Nearly alone!” said Ursula who witnessed everything through her crystal ball. “I have to act alone!” Ursula. The Sea Witch then drank a magic potion and turned into a beautiful girl.

On the morning of the third day, the palace became busy. Prince Erik is getting married to a girl he just met. Poor Ariel. Prince Erik has been bewitched. Ursula, who now appears as a beautiful girl, has used Ariel's voice, which she keeps in shells and hangs around her neck. Prince Erik thought she was the girl who saved him when his ship sank. Ariel is heartbroken.

The wedding ceremony will take place on Prince Erik's new ship. Skatel happened to fly across the ship, just as the bride passed the mirror. The shadow reflected in the mirror was the image of the Sea Witch. Skatel realized that Prince Erik had been deceived. Quickly he explained this to Ariel and his other friends. Sebastian quickly devised a plan. Flounder helps Ariel board Prince Erik's ship. Skatel arranged for a flock of his friend's gulls to postpone the wedding. “I'll tell Triton about this,” Sebastian said.

The wedding of Prince Erik and the girl was almost carried out, when a flock of seagulls, led by Skatel, slid down to attack the bride. The princess shouted. The voice that came out was the voice of the Sea Witch. Ariel climbs onto the deck just as Skatel manages to knock down the clam containing Ariel's voice from the girl's neck. The shell broke and Ariel's voice returned to him.

“Oh, Prince Erik, I love you,” Ariel said. “The cup is indeed you,” said Prince Erik. The sun disappeared in the western horizon, just as they were about to kiss. The three days that were given to Ariel had run out. She turned back into a Mermaid Princess, while the girl also turned into a Sea Witch. Ursula snatched Ariel and plunged into the sea.

Thanks to Sebastian's notice, Triton was already waiting at Ursula's lair when they arrived there. “Kulle your son if you want to be in his place,” exclaimed Ursula. Triton agrees. Now Triton was a prisoner of Ursula, replacing Ariel. Ursula possesses the magic trident of Triton and controls the underwater kingdom. Suddenly a sword pierced Ursula's shoulder. Apparently Prince Erik came to save Ariel. Ariel swam to the surface of the sea with him. But Ursula followed right behind them. Along with the increase in his anger, his body was getting bigger, until it appeared above sea level. Ursula was angry

Prince Erik swam towards his ship, then immediately boarded. He grabbed the rudder and pointed the ship to Ursula's body. Just as Ursula was about to send a fatal lightning strike towards Ariel with her trident, Prince Erik's ship crashed into her. The evil Sea Witch has perished.

Since the Sea Witch is dead, Triton is free. He emerged above sea level by holding his trident. Ariel looked at Prince Erik with a look of love. “Ariel really loves him, yes,” the Ocean King told Sebastian beside him. Sebastian nodded. “I will miss him,” Triton added, then lifted his magic trident and directed his lightning bolt towards Ariel's tail.

The Mermaid's tail disappeared and once again she had legs. Ariel is now a human. Prince Erik kissed the girl he loved. Soon they married and sailed together.
