In a village called Tumbandala in Nigeria, there lived a young man named Kimamanauze. She lives with her parents who live a simple life. Kimamanauze is an unyielding young man. If you have a desire, you have to get it.
Now, when he was old enough to get married, his parents began to urge him to determine his future companion.
“My son, now you are an adult and it is time for you to get married. Choose a woman to be your companion,” her father said one day.
“Daddy, I already intend to get married. But I don't want to marry a woman. I just want to marry the Sun Princess from the sky,” said Kimamanauze steady.
Although his hopes were considered impossible and far-fetched, but Kimamanauze was still convinced that one day he would get the Sun Princess and marry her.
Every day Kimamanauze thought of a way to meet the Sun's daughter, but there was no way she could cross her head.
One day Kimamanauze made a letter addressed to the Sun goddess. He took the letter to a forest.
In the middle of the road, he met a mountain antelope and Kimamanauze greeted him:
“Good mountain antelope, will you help me? Will you take this letter to the Sun goddess in the sky?” ask Kimamanauze.
“Oh, I can indeed climb to the top of a high mountain, but the sky is too high, I can not afford!” the mountain kijang.
And Kimamanauze left the mountain deer disappointed.
In the afternoon he met an eagle perched on a tree.
“Who is a good bird will you take my letter to the Sun goddess in the sky?” ask Kimamanauze.
“Young man, I can indeed fly up to the clouds, but even if I fly until my wings fall out, I will definitely not reach the sky! I'm sorry!” said the eagle.
Kimamanauze was very disappointed and decided to go home alone, but promised to continue his business tomorrow.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door of his house. A frog jumped into the house when Kimamanauze opened the door.
“Young man, I heard you were confused looking for a way to deliver a letter to the Sun goddess. What if I deliver it?” ask the frog.
Kimamanauze felt that the frog was making fun of him, so he threw him out. But the frog did not want to leave.
“How can a frog go to the sky? While the mountain antelope and eagle that can reach high places can not be,” said Kimamanauze.
“I never lie young man! If I say I can deliver your letter to the Sun goddess, then surely I can! Just give me your letter and you wait for the result!” the word frog really.
Although still in doubt but eventually Kimamanauze handed the letter.
Frogs carried the letter to the edge of the lake where the maids from the sky took water. As the sun shone its rays over the lake, the ladies came down from the sky carrying jars. And as soon as they dipped the urn, frogs jumped into it. After all the jars were full, the maids returned to the sky and of course the frogs went with them.
In the room where the jars contain water, frogs observe the surroundings. I saw a table in the middle of the room. The frog put Kimamanauze's letter there and he went back into hiding.
Moments later, the door opened and the room was lit by a warm light. It turned out that the sun goddess was about to inspect the water jars. Suddenly he saw a letter on the table. To the amazement of the sun goddess opened and read it:
Introduce me Kimamanauze from the village of Tumbandala on earth.
Together I would like to propose a proposal for your daughter.
I beg you to accept this proposal.
Thank ye.
The Sun Goddess called out to the water-takers and asked who the letter was, but no one knew. The Sun Goddess decided to reply to the letter and put it back on the table. He also wrote:
Mr. Kimamanauze on earth,
We have received your application letter. But we don't know you yet, though,
so how can we make a decision.
It would be better if you could come to the sky and send her dowry.
Salutations
Sun Goddess.
After the Sun goddess left, the frog took the letter and went back to hiding in an empty urn that would be brought down to earth by the maids.
The frog brought the letter to Kimamanauze who received it with delight. He then wrapped up his savings, handed it to the frog with another letter.
So the frog went back to heaven and put the money and the kimamanauze letter on the same table.
The Sun Goddess who read the letter, called her husband the Moon god and told him about the matter. They both agreed to accept the proposal and asked Kimamanauze to pick up the princess of the Sun in the sky.
Kimamanauze who received the news from the frog was confused. How could he pick up his future wife in the sky? But the ingenious frog promised to make the Sun's own daughter who came down to earth.
The next day, the frog flew back into the sky. Now he's hiding in the Sun princess's room. By nightfall and the princess of the Sun had fallen asleep. The frog approached the princess. Carefully took the heart of the princess and quickly the frog back hiding in the corner of the room.
In the morning the sky palace was in an uproar because the Sun princess suddenly became seriously ill. No one knows what the disease is. A so-called soothsayer concluded that the princess' heart had been stolen by the young man who liked her. The cure is just to immediately meet the princess with the young man or the princess will die.
The Sun Goddess immediately told the thousands of heaven spiders to spin their threads to make a ladder to the earth. Immediately a gentle staircase like silk was beautifully intertwined, hanging from heaven to earth. Then the maids spread the tapestry of velvet for the base. And being swept by the ladies, the princess of the Sun began to descend the stairs with the wave of the hand of the Sun goddess and the Moon god.
Meanwhile, the frogs have first arrived on earth. He rushed to Kimamanauze and told her to get ready to welcome his bride-to-be by the lake.
Dressed in her best clothes, Kimamanauze ran to the edge of the lake. There had gathered the enchanted villagers with rows of maids descending from the sky. When the daughter of the Sun met the sight of Kimamanauze, she suddenly recovered.
Finally, the wedding was celebrated. Kimamanauze was happy that his dream was finally realized with the help of a clever frog. The couple lived happily ever after.
