Introduction to Sleep
princess Anabel of silene

Her name was Anabel, daughter of Silene. A land of golden wheat fields, plantations look colorful with pears, plums and apples that look ripe. Cows and sheep produce abundant fresh milk, as well as a lot of expensive wool. Although agricultural products, plantations and livestock were abundant, His Majesty the King never collected taxes from his people, because for him the prosperity and welfare of his people was paramount. Nevertheless, all the people of Silene always happily sent part of their crops to the palace, as an embodiment of their love for the king.

In contrast to Frazio, the prime minister of the Silene kingdom who aspires to seize the throne of the kingdom. To realize his goal, Frazio plans to kill Anabel, the king's only daughter, the heir to the Silene throne. But unlucky for Frazio, Anabel who managed to escape before Frazio's men managed to kill him. Anabel fled into the forest. In the forest Anabel tore off her robe and took off her shoes, making a false trail as if she was running north when in fact she was running south. While Frazio's soldiers are afraid of being punished lie to Frazio if Anabel they have killed. Hearing that, Frazio laughed happily because his ideals to become the king of Silene would soon be realized.

“Now, I just have to wait for the king to appoint me as the next king,” he said in a proud tone. Frazio was the king's brother, therefore if Anabel had been removed, then the throne of Silene's kingdom would have fallen to him.

Deep in the forest, Anabel continued to walk down the river, trying to get out of the forest until her power was completely exhausted and Anabel fainted. But luck still favors Anabel, the river where Anabel fainted is a fishing spot commonly visited by the villagers of Fylidia, a village on a hill not far from the place. Anabel is taken to the village, and Mr. Bert, one of the residents, offers to take care of Anabel who is still unconscious. Mr. Bert is an old sheep farmer who lives alone with his wife, Mrs Bert.

When Anabel woke up, she was confused as to where she was.

“You're awake? My neighbors found you in the river and brought you here.” Madame Bert who happened to enter explained.

“Thank you very much Madam, but may I know which country this is in?” Anabel asked inquisitively.

“Your situation is still weak, drink first.” Madam Bert offered a glass of milk to Anabel,

“You are in the village of Fylidia, Miss, still in the kingdom of Silene. May I know where you are from? And why did you pass out on the river?”continued Mrs Bert.

Anabel then told her who she was and what had happened to her. Mrs Bert was very surprised to hear the story of Anabel, as well as Mr. Bert and the Neighbors who happened to come to see the condition of Anabel. They were all furious at Minister Frazio's malicious treatment of Anabel. But they could not know His Majesty the King, because now in the palace there was Frazio who was always beside him.

So Anabel stayed with Mr and Mrs Bert. At first Mr and Mrs Bert and other villagers did not allow Anabel to do anything, but still treated Anabel like a princess, but Anabel asked to be allowed to work like an ordinary girl.

“I will make perfume for that robe, a perfume that only myself and my late mother could concoct. So I'm sure His Majesty will definitely recognize him.”

The villagers agreed and started collecting the best sheep feathers, then spinning them very carefully. There is also a helping Anabel collect fresh flowers to make perfume.

Winter was almost here, and the robe Anabel had made was finished. The aroma of Anabel's concoction perfume is very fragrant, but the fragrance is really unpredictable, even by perfume experts.

Mr. Bert volunteered to deliver the robe to the palace, and was soon approved by the others. The trip to Silene Palace takes three days if using the train, therefore Mr. Bert departs three days before the day of the competition.

The day of the competition arrived, one by one the participants of the competition brought a robe for him before the King, and now it was Mr. Bert's turn to bring a robe made by Anabel. When Anabel's cloak was opened, the fragrance of the perfume the king was familiar with was smelled from the robe. The king immediately chose the robe that Mr. Bert had brought, and the gift was immediately given to Mr. Bert. Not only that, the king also asked Mr. Bert to accompany him to lunch which was then immediately accepted with pleasure.

At lunch, the king asked Frazio to leave him alone with Mr. Bert, “Too much if you accompany me, I am not hosting a king, I just had a regular lunch with my people.” The king explained, and without any suspicion Frazio left the King alone with master Bert.

“Who made this robe?” the King asked Bert after making sure the frazio was gone.

“Your own daughter, Your Majesty, Princess Anabel.” Mr. Bert tells about Anabel to the King, also about the crime of Frazio. The king was very surprised, as well as happy to know his daughter was still alive, because it turned out that all this time Frazio made it seem as if Anabel died when the royal castle burned. The fire was also intentional.

The king, furious with Frazio's crime, immediately summoned Commander Venzo, the warlord of Silene's kingdom, to capture Frazio and punish him, after which he escorted Commander Venzo and his soldiers, who were, The king went to the village of Fylidia to fetch Princess Anabel.
