Introduction to Sleep
PRINCESS AURORA "SLEEPING BEAUTY"

Once upon a time, there was a happy pair of Kings and Queens, because after so many years, the Queen finally gave birth to a Princess.

The King and Queen invited the seven fairies to come and bless the newly born Princess.

In a magnificent event held in honor of the fairies, each of the fairies gave a blessing to the Princess.

First fairy says “You will be the prettiest Princess in the world.”The second fairy says “You will be a jolly Princess.”Third fairy says “You will always get a lot of affection.”Fourth fairy says “You will be able to dance very gracefully.”Fifth fairy says “You will be able to sing very melodiously.”

Sixth fairy says “You will be very smart to play musical instruments.”

Suddenly came the old elf into the middle of the event. He was very angry because he was not invited. Everyone had not seen the old fairy for a long time, and thought that she had died or left the kingdom.

The angry old elf approached the Princess and cursed her “Your fingers will be punctured by a spun needle and you will die!” and then the old fairy disappeared.

Everyone was so surprised. The queen began to cry.

The seventh elf approached the Princess and gave her blessing “I cannot undo the curse, but I can give my blessing so that the Princess will not die from being hit by a spun needle, but only slept for a hundred years. After a hundred years, a handsome Prince will come to wake him.”

The King and Queen were a little relieved to hear it. They then issued a new rule that in the kingdom there should be no spun tools. They confiscated and destroyed all the spun tools in the kingdom for the salvation of the Princess. One day when the Princess was 18 years old, the King and Queen were gone all day.

Lonely, the Princess wandered through the palace and reached an attic. There he found an old woman who was spinning a thread using a spun tool. Having never seen a spun tool, the Princess is very interested and wants to try.

The old woman was actually the evil old elf who used to curse her. When the Princess tried the spun tool, she deliberately stuck a spun needle into the hands of the Princess.

When the King and Queen return, they and all the royal servants are confused looking for the Princess. When they find her, the King realizes that the curse of the evil old fairy has come true. The princess was taken to her room and laid on her bed. The king then sent word of the event to the benevolent seventh elf.

The benevolent seventh elf then rushed to the palace. He decided to put everyone in the kingdom to sleep so that when the curse of the Princess ended they would all wake up together.

In a short period of time large trees and thick and thorny shrubs grew throughout the entire territory of the kingdom, making it very difficult for anyone to break through. Even the top of the palace can only be seen at the end. As it became very closed, the Princess and the whole kingdom became safe, even though they were all asleep.

After the hundred years ended, a handsome Prince who happened to be hunting near the royal territory saw the tops of the palace. He had heard many stories about the kingdom, among others about the palace that is considered haunted, the witches, and other stories that are very creepy that are actually not true.

Out of curiosity, when returning from hunting the Prince looked for the wisest and smartest parents in the kingdom to inquire about the mysterious neighboring kingdom.

The wise old man then told him that according to his ancestors, in the palace in the mysterious kingdom lay the most beautiful Princess in the world, who fell asleep because of the curse of the evil old fairy. The princess will sleep until a Prince comes to wake her.

The brave handsome prince then rushed off towards the mysterious kingdom. He wants to save the princess. The Prince struggled through the thickets and trees to reach the mysterious kingdom.

Arriving there, he saw a lot of people and pets lying everywhere. But they didn't die, it seemed like they were just sleeping very well. The prince then entered the palace. There he saw all the royal officials who were asleep.

After a walk through the palace, the Prince managed to find the Princess in a room. The Prince was fascinated by the beauty of the Princess. The prince knelt down and held the princess' hand. That was when the curse ended and the Princess opened her eyes. He welcomed the Prince whom he had been waiting for so happily.

At the same time all the inhabitants of the palace and the entire kingdom were awakened. The bushes and trees disappeared. Everyone went back to their own business. The King and Queen also woke up and immediately welcomed the Prince from the neighboring kingdom.

Shortly thereafter, the Princess and the handsome Prince were married. They then live happily ever after.
