Introduction to Sleep
Jhi Ge Phu and the dragon princess

In a region in China lived a young man named Jhi Ge Phu with his elderly father. They were potters and they lived off the produce of selling their pottery.

One day in the winter, Jhi Ge Phu and his father lead their donkey to the city. Their old donkeys were shoveling around carrying loads of pottery they were going to sell in the city. The road is very slippery because it is covered with snow. Jhi Ge Phu's father was worried that their donkey would slip and drop pottery on his back.

While passing through Yuin Nan, they had to cross a river that had frozen. In the middle of the river their donkeys slipped and fell, making all their pottery shatter into pieces. Jhi Ge Phu's father, who was trying to petrify his donkey, slipped as well. Unfortunately for him, his head was hit by a rock so hard that he died.

Jhi Ge Phu was very sad. But what you want to say, all is destiny. So he buried his father's body by the river and buried his donkey beside his father's grave. Then he continued his journey.

One day he arrived at the sea. As he was contemplating his fate, he was startled by the sound of a snatch and the cry of a girl. He saw a group of young men riding towards him. One of them brought a girl who was struggling and crying. Jhi Ge Phu felt confident that the girl must have been forcibly taken by them. And he immediately confronted them. The young man who was carrying the girl was furious, he took out a whip and smashed it towards Jhi Ge Phu. Fortunately Jhi Ge Phu was able to avoid. He pulled out his sword and slashed the front leg of the young man's horse so they fell down. Without wasting any time Jhi Ge Phu attacked the young man who was overwhelmed against him. Eventually the young man fled.

The girl was very grateful and introduced herself as the Dragon princess.

“Where is your house Miss, how can you be taken by that delinquent?” ask Jhi Ge Phu.

“My house is at the bottom of the sea. This morning I wanted to enjoy the dawn on land. Then when I let my guard down, suddenly they came to kidnap me,” he said.

“Young man, you've helped me. Now you come with me to see my parents. They will be very happy to meet you,” pinta princess Naga.

Jhi Ge Phu was so curious that he approved the invitation of the Dragon princess. The princess told him to close his eyes. A second later when the Dragon Princess told her to open her eyes, Jhi Ge Phu was blown away by the sight before her.

He was now in a very magnificent and beautiful palace. Before him stood two creatures that were like humans but also like dragons, surrounded by servants with fish-like shapes. The two dragons introduced themselves as the parents of the girl he helped. They are very grateful for the help of Jhi Ge Phu. They serve it with a variety of delicious dishes. Then the king took Jhi Ge Phu to a room filled with gold and jewels.

“As my thank you sign, you can bring this gold gem as you like, choose!” king says.

Jhi Ge Phu subtly rejected her, she said that she did not want anything in return. But as the king continued to force him, he finally asked for a chick and a stick. The king was very surprised by the request because the two objects were royal heirlooms that outsiders did not know about.

“Young people from where do you know those heirlooms?” ask king.

“Sorry, your daughter told me,” said Jhi Ge Phu.

The king and queen immediately understood that their son had fallen for the young man. So with a heavy heart they let the heirloom into the hands of Jhi Ge Phu. After that they drove Jhi Ge Phu to the surface safely. Jhi Ge Phu actually wanted to say goodbye to the dragon princess but it seemed like the dragon princess did not want to show herself.

Jhi Ge Phu then continued his journey even though he did not know where to go. For days he walked without eating or drinking, and he fainted.

When he opened his eyes, it turned out that he was not on the ground where he had fainted, but on a large and beautiful bed. In front of him was delicious food and drink. Hungry, Jhi Ge Phu finished the dish voraciously.

“Whose house is this,” asked Jhi Ge Phu in heart.

He then went around inside the house to find out the owner. Surprisingly there was no one in the house. He found his name stuck to one of the doors of the house.

“Maybe there's a good person who lent me this house,” he thought. “I can't keep quiet, I have to work hard!.”

He went to the field as soon as the sun appeared and only returned when the sun was about to return to its quarrel.

Every time he woke up and went home from work, Jhi Ge Phu always found his dining table was filled with dishes. Similarly, the house he lived in was always neat and clean. Jhi Ge Phu had never met anyone else in the house.

Out of curiosity, Jhi Ge Phu decided to find out the answer. One day as usual, early in the morning he pretended to go to the fields. He hid and peeked.

Suddenly the chicks he brought from the dragon palace let out smoke and BUZZ!! The chick disappeared and stood up a very beautiful princess. Now know Jhi Ge Phu that the Dragon Princess has always been with him. Jhi Ge Phu was overjoyed, he walked over to the Dragon princess who could not pretend anymore. They decided to get married and work in the fields together.

One day a king and his followers passed by. They were going hunting. The king was very fascinated to see the beauty of Jhi Ge Phu's house and decided to stop by. The king was more and more fascinated to see that Jhi Ge Phu had a very beautiful wife. His evil intention was to make the Dragon princess his wife.

So he challenged Jhi Ge Phu to compete. The king decided to fight to clear the forest for three days. If Jhi Ge Phu succeeds, the king will give him a gift, but if he fails, then Jhi Ge Phu must give his wife to the king.

Jhi Ge Phu was very sad because he believed he would not be able to meet the challenge. But the dragon princess suggested to ask the dragon king for help.

“Ask the moon axe to my father!” said.

With the moon axe in his hand, Jhi Ge Phu bravely stood up against the king. He chose the forest to the east, while the king of the forest to the west. With all his might Jhi Ge Phu threw his moon axe up and BLARR! A beam of light flashed and with a blink of an eye the forest to the east had been blown away.

The king was furious and would not admit his defeat. He challenged Jhi Ge Phu to harvest the rice the next day. Once again Jhi Ge Phu asked the dragon king for help and then gave him a golden peacock-headed box.

The next day, dozens of the king's laborers worked hard to harvest rice in the southern fields. Jhi Ge Phu immediately opened the golden box. A dazzling glow emanated from within and soon turned into millions of rice-eating birds. They pecked at the rice in the northern fields so that in an instant the rice was exhausted. The king was furious at his defeat. Furious he ordered his soldiers to take the dragon princess by force.

Jhi Ge Phu tried to fight but said the king's soldiers were too many so he was overwhelmed. He heard the dragon princess clamoring as the soldiers took her.

“Ge Phu, Peacock Fur Coat! Verse of luck!” screaming princess.

Jhi Ge Phu sadly sees his beloved wife being taken away. For days he thought about the meaning of his wife's words. Suddenly his mind opened and he understood that he had to make a coat out of peacock feather and bring it to the palace.

He immediately collected peacock feathers. Every night under the moonlight he composed peacock feathers and stringed lucky verses. Then on the 49th night finished already the coat of peacock feathers and its poetry.

Wearing the peacock fur coat, Jhi Ge Phu left for the palace. That night was the lunar new year's night. The town is partying. The palace is decorated with lanterns and lanterns. The festive excitement was felt as Jhi Ge Phu stood at the palace gate. He then sang his lucky verse out loud. Her unusual clothes attracted the attention of many people. They watched Jhi Ge Phu.

The king who did not know that the person was Jhi Ge Phu immediately ordered to bring him into the palace. The Dragon Princess soon found out that her husband had come as soon as she heard him sing the poem of fortune. He rushed into the hall where Jhi Ge Phu was and cheerfully spread a smile at her.

The king was happy to see the princess turning cheerful. He thought if he also wore a peacock fur coat, the princess would be happy for him. Without a second thought the king took the coat and put it on.

But the dragon princess showed a look of dislike, he said “ it is truly inappropriate for a king to dress like that. Very disrespectful. This will make a damn thing for the kingdom. A king like this should be locked up.”

The princess' words caused a commotion in the palace. Some soldiers and officials tried to capture the king and others protected him. This opportunity was used by Jhi Ge Phu and the dragon princess to escape. They ran to the sea. There the warriors of the dragon palace had been waiting for him and brought him back to the dragon palace. That's where they live happily ever after.
