Volume 1 - Prologue

The rain slowly soaked the ground, the scent of the rain-soaked soil slowly entering the sense of smell of a young man sitting speechless in the garden. His face looked so depressed after seeing the small paper in his hand, a hospital bill with such a large nominal written in bright red.

“What should I do to pay this bill?”

He spoke to himself, not a single person was in the garden after a small speck of rain fell. The rain was soaking up her school uniform. The frustration that was piling up on his mind slowly crept into his body, her tight fist was ready to be taken out but a shadow of her sweet sister's smile flashed across her until she let go of all that frustration on her. There is nothing better than beating yourself up in this situation.

The heavy rain and flashes of light that sprung up made the young man get up and walk to seek shelter from the rain.

“It would be too dangerous in an open place like this, especially if I go to the hospital because of a silly incident hit by a fallen tree or struck by lightning-”

A flash of white light that was quite fast entering his eye view, that sudden moving white glint made him startled and quickly covered his ears.

This time, the rumbling of a bloated voice right above his head could be felt completely. The sound of shaking shook his body even he could feel how frantically his heart was processing the adrenaline that came all of a sudden.

Calmly the young man walked away from the park area and walked down the shopping center to shelter.

He stroked his chest to calm his little heart which still gave off a pretty quick adrenaline boost.

“Even though I had closed my ears but still the sound was still vibrating into my body, it was fortunate that the light moved faster than sound."

"What does this feel like when diving and encountering a submarine that turns on active sonar?”

Right now the young man was walking without direction and letting his feet take over his goal as his mind floated in search of a possible answer from his little question.

Her footsteps came to a halt when she saw a promotional poster featuring an online game called Isekai Online. The promotion aims to offer Isekai Online sales packages accompanied by gaming devices that support Deep-Dive Virtual Reality technology.

“How can this price difference happen to double?”

Right after, the young man saw a television LED screen displaying a battle scene that was brutal enough to be seen.

“Oh..!”

“Ah..!”

“I understand now, the difference in fighting gear affects the performance of the fight.”

“Is there nothing more friendly than Pay to Win?”

“Whatever it is, I can already guess where the QR-code is going."

The young man took his phone and cleaned up his wet screen and used a scanner to read the QR-code.

“Just like I thought, the official website for a game. If it's not wrong my classmates used to play this game. Uh! They once discussed their extra income in that game. Apparently, the players deserve to be crowded."

The young man moved his finger and his eyes were busy searching for information until he found what he was looking for.

“Why am I just thinking about it now? Ah... considering the price of equipment that is quite expensive it is only natural that my classmates play the rental version, is there such a rental around here?”

“I think I should give it a try, at least it can help to find the extra cost of my sister's hospital bill. I'm quite upset with the perpetrator who just left irresponsibly but what can I do if the rice has become porridge. If only the police were useful enough to find the culprit, I wouldn't have this kind of trouble."

Right on the web page he visited there was a forum that did currency and item buying and selling activities in the Isekai Online game.

The young man's mind was fixed on a possibility that could be obtained by playing that game. He gave a small note marker on his phone app.
