Chapter 35 - Maid Service

“Basement underground this house is quite unique as well. I guess at the bottom will be directly connected to the mining area” asked Hans.

Hans questioned that because he assumed the bottom of his house would be directly connected to the mining line. But, the house he will inhabit turned out to have underground basement access for storage of goods and underground prisons.

“Did our former Master not tell him?” reply Maid who accompanied Hans.

Currently, Hans and several Maid descended the steps connected to the underground basement.

“Mile just tell if this is a mining region and diamond trading house.”

“Ah. my former Master. I didn't expect if he threw away a mine like this just like this and didn't give any additional information to his new owner.”

The moment they arrived at the last rung of the stairs, a thick iron door and a Maid-clothed girl seemed to have been waiting for their arrival.

The Maid girl had a large horn coiled around her head and a long tail with a pointed tip like an arrow.

“Lilith?” said Siera who accompanied Hans.

They rushed to the Maid.

“Hoho.. so this is the rumored Master?” Lilith looked at Hans from the tip of her hair to her ankles. A thin tongue protrudes from between his lips and moves to moisten his dry lips.

“Lumayan too, nice to meet you, Master” he said with a teasing smile.

“Master Hans, he is Lilith. The old Demon who became the Head Maid of the Underground Class Maid.”

“Siera, although that is true. At least please protect my self-esteem in front of Master” a hardened vein is seen on the sidelines of his big horn.

Siera and Lilith bowed to each other to greet Hans.

“Master, please hold this. Guidebook and contract agreement to set up the Underground Class Maid. They would obey every single one of his Master's orders, but they were a bit difficult to set up. So.. hold this list of information just in case they underestimate their duty” Maid named Lilith also gives a thick red book.

“Master, this is a guidebook from Upper Class Maid and a contract agreement that has been approved. Some of us are human but some of us are Demi-Human and other races. Next was the Master's decision to accept or reject our contract” following Lilit's attitude, Siera also took the same stance and handed over a thick blue book.

Hans received two different books. The first was a red tome for the Underground Class Maid and the second was a blue tome for the Upper Class Maid.

After receiving both books, a notification screen panel appeared before Hans.

Hans hand moved to receive the notification that was in front of him. A tickling sensation shook on Hans's right wrist and left hand. Sensing the strange sensation, Hans saw his palm suddenly engraved with a glowing red and blue symbol.

Siera and Lilith suddenly knelt before Hans. Their bodies were like they were coated in an energy with two different colors that pervaded their bodies and a symbol was engraved on their bodies.

The two panels covered Hans's view, the panel was just a different color between blue and red but had the same features.

“Thanks for being our Master, Master Hans” said Siera and Lilith together. Like someone facing their king. The two Maids knelt down and lowered their faces.

“Em, what are you doing?” Hans, who did not understand what had happened, asked.

“We only do the ancient tradition of Maid when the new Master has been selected.”

“We are not doing a war to seize the holy grail right?”

“Eh? Why should we do such a thing, Master?”

“It's okay, 200 Maid? It's very much at all and I still don't know all these Maid” Hans a little peek at the features he just got. That feature serves as a Maid arrangement that has contracted with its Master. Some features such as personal information, special abilities, special commands, and job placement are in it.

The illumination light only came from a large candle stuck to its wall. Puddles of water reflecting the candlelight can be seen. The atmosphere of this dungeon felt cold and damp. Hans slowly stepped his feet to walk through this room.

His footsteps echoed in this room, Hans and Maid accompanying him entered this filthy room.

“So, where are our guests?” hans asked who observed the condition of the empty holding cell.

“Because our guest is a skull. These iron bars could not possibly accommodate them. Even small children can come in and out easily” continued Hans remark.

“Master, because these guests are a little unique. So their handling is very different from human handling. We took them to the magic isolation prison so as not to move freely” Lilith replied.

Following the long underground prison passageway, they arrived at a forked passageway. In between the hall were doors made of iron. Lilith suddenly moved her legs faster and knocked on an iron door.

With three taps heard, the closed door let out a resounding sound and slowly opened. From his voice alone, the door sounded extremely heavy even making a small vibration that was creeping on the ground. Several Maids with unusual horns and tails appeared from within. Just as Lilith had done before, they rushed to face Hans and knelt down. Although the floor on their knees contained dirt and puddles, they paid no attention to it and waited for Hans' next order.

“Welcome, Master” Maid said simultaneously.

“Ah, raise your heads. I want to visit our little guests. I heard, these guys are a little unique and have special handling” after hearing Hans command to stand. They started to stand up, Hans noticed a dirt stain stuck to their shirt.

Realizing their Master's gaze, the several Maids began to move about cleaning up their dirt stains.

“Master Hans, this is Maid's basic etiquette for paying respect to his Master. This is also a sign if the Master has a higher position than a King.”

“Hoho? Who'sisthis? The new master of Diamond Doom? Hmm.. Let me see first.. level 30? So weak!” a voice that sounded like a child echoed on the wall of the room.

Hans, who noticed something strange had happened, was wary of the sound that echoed.

“Arvis, stop that! where's the ethics Maid you've learned? Get out and say hello to your Master!” right next to Hans, Lilith's angry expression was visible.

“Master, sorry if this one Maid is a little rough. He was not used to communicating with the outside world. So-“

“Hah? Why should I do it?” cut out that voice.

Lilith who was trying to explain the situation to Hans could not hold back her emotions anymore then rushed towards the wall of the room and hit him. Large cracks and small holes were visible, Lilith's hand went into the crack and pulled something from within.

Slowly, a horn came out from within the crack and a face that resembled a small child was slowly seen. Like pulling a weed, Lilith with an expression of anger pulled forcefully and slammed the figure until it rolled on the floor.

“Arvis, looks like you need to retrain?” lilith's cold-sounding speech and the glare of her burning eyes made the atmosphere in this room gripping.

Under that heavy pressure, the figure of the little girl named Arvis was seen and wore a frightened expression.

“Li-Lilith-sama!! I-I was just kidding!”

The words that came out of her mouth were unable to withstand Lilith's vexation. Slowly Lilith's body glowed red and her physical body changed drastically.

The clothes that Lilith was wearing were different, before she wore a Maid uniform now changed to be more open.

“Siera, did you say this Lilith is a Demon? What kind of Demon is he?” hans asked in the midst of this conflict.

“Sorry for this incident, Master Hans. Actually the information regarding Lilith was already in the guidebook provided but because the Master did not have enough time to read it and this kind of incident happened.. Uh! Why did I become embarrassed when my responsibility is not in the Underground Class Maid” reply Siera who covered her face.

“Ah! I'll read it.”

Hans opens a guidebook belonging to the Underground Class Maid and reads information about Lilith and the girl named Arvis.

“Hmm.. The former Demon Queen who was at odds with her Former General? Very interesting this incident.”

While reading the information of the two Maids who were at odds, Hans tried to ignore the sound of training and the harsh punishment that was going on.

As well as. sufficient screams of pain echoed throughout the room.
