Chapter 34 - Private Detective Contractors

Hans, Mile Sinov, Saintess Vallie Lister, and Choco Coco Co sat down together. In front of them was a small serving of a dish to accompany the small tea party.

Hans enjoyed the small meal while waiting for additional information. The basic logic in his head was still processing an incident regarding the giant skull that had appeared.

Hans realizes that Isekai Online's base is Fantasy, but it's too late for Class Detective to deal with supernatural occurrences. The general logic in his head will clash, although he resolves two cases in Isekai Online. It is still counted in the normal stage because it is assisted with general knowledge and special systems.

But what about the giant skull?

Hans did not understand what it looked like. The logic in his head clashed over how big of a shape it would take to fit into the “Giant” category. This case could have opened his mind about how widespread Isekai Online is.

The current information is that [Forest of Green Fairy] has the potential needed to create video footage. Hans could have been looking for another location, but curiosity undoes his intentions. Hans is not a professional player who would be tempted to hear “Event” like this, Hans is a typical person who is curious about the process of the incident occurred.

“Giant skull? That sounds really weird. What's special?” hans opened the topic.

“From royal records, a giant skull is a magic that is often used to spread terror when fighting at night. The shape is a bit strange, but the making is very easy. As I recall, it had already become a list of forbidden magic in this kingdom and that rule had been in effect for 700 years. Why is that magic back now?” the words that Mile made came as a surprise to Saintess Vallie.

“You know its history?” ask Hans.

Hearing a brief explanation from Saintess Vallie, Hans unthinkable a big question in his head.

“Mile, the Necromancy technique you said earlier. Is this related to this situation?” hans's question drew the attention of Guild Master Adventure Chairman and Saintess Vallie.

“Em! I think it's related because one of the conditions for summoning a giant skull is to collect the souls of the dead and that's in the field of Necromancy.”

“You seem very expert about this.”

“Of course, this is the reason why I got kicked out of the royal spy unit.”

The race from this Mile slightly made the atmosphere heavy.

Hearing Mile's confession, Hans stared at Mile.

“Mile Sinov” Hans suddenly calls Mile's full name.

“P-Trust Mr. Hans, I don't know if there's a problem on the ground. This doesn't mean I'm giving up a home in troubled territory. If the house is troubled, it should be my maids who are guarding it to report something to me.”

“Maid?” continued Hans.

“R-Home is located on top of mining right? And those maids are expert workers to process the mines. Em, do I have to fire them?”

“Can I trust them?”

“I think you can, it's just.. Mr. Hans needs to take a special approach with them.”

“Special approach?”

“Mile, do you have a personal grudge against me?”

“Both!” reply Saintess Vallie in a high tone.

“M-I'm sorry if that sounds creepy. But that doesn't mean the girls are dangerous. It is possible that their natural nature while being adventurers is still imprint.”

“They're former adventurers? Why is my house a battlefield anyway?” continued Hans.

“I told you, they are not necessarily girls like that!”

“But, the worst possibility is that right?”

“Uguh! I-That's. I can't break it.”

Suddenly, the sound of knocking on the door was heard in the aftershocks with the sound of horse screeching.

“Mr Hans, what if we see a little bit of that new house? to make sure if the children did not neglect their duties” while saying that, Mile stuffed a few small knives into his black kimono.

Hans who realized that was silent and followed Mile from behind.

Before Hans left the room, he looked at the Guild Master Adventure Chairman.

Inside this room remained Saintess Vallie and the Guild Master Adventure Chairman. They stared at each other and held back the awkwardness of staying away by the host.

“Excuse me, Saintess Vallie. May I ask you something?” the silence was broken by Coco.

“About that Player?” as if understanding the root of the problem in Coco's head. Saintess Vallie guessed it and was on target.

Coco nodded her head, “Thanks to that conversation, I can understand a small part of her. But.”

Saintess Vallie answered Coco's question. Saintess Vallie did not answer him, she took a cup of tea and enjoyed it in a few gulps.

After he finished enjoying it, he put back his tea and answered Coco's question, “As far as I know, he is a Player that can be relied on and trusted. It came from one of our Priestesses who was given a revelation by our Goddess.”

“Goddess Relena?”

“Oh, this reminds me. Why do you rarely visit the temple? Coco?”

“Last-lately we've been busy with something.”

“Saintess Vallie will travel?” ask Coco.

“Heard promises” comments Hans.

This was the first time Hans had heard such a hurtful remark from a maid. Her outer appearance looked like a jolly girl, yet her speech was extremely painful.

Hans glanced at Mile who was holding his chest, as if attacked by hundreds of arrows that hit his body.

“S-Siera, haven't we already discussed it? You even agreed to change Master!” rebut Mile who rose from enduring his pain.

“Master, looks like we should ask the Priestess for help to clean up this place. It seems like there are strange noises around here, we do not want to make Master feel uncomfortable and leave us like the previous Master.”
