I entered the entrance of the Supervisory Post, it seemed like the work they were doing was going well. There was no trace of blood left, just that a small scratch of a brown-colored stain was clearly visible in front of the entrance. Cleaning up a location where corpses gathered was not an easy matter, but it turned out that they were quite skilled at this job.
At least the remaining traces can help me see what has happened.
I unsealed the wrapping seal [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits], the seal was shaped like a magic circle symbol located on top of the wrapper [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits]. I damaged the seal by forcibly opening the wrapping box [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits] and slowly the magic circle symbol on top of it disappeared. It feels like unsealing plastic bottle beverage packaging cap, very easy and light. Inside, I saw four small items in the shape of glass tubes with wooden caps on top and two small wooden boxes containing something inside. On the lid of the wood was written a letter that I did not understand at all and the small wooden box also had the same letter. The writing is shaped like a rune script that I often see in movies with a magic theme. I think this game still includes elements of fantasy, although the solving of the case that I'm currently doing there is actually no element of magic at all.
But perhaps.to NPCs, this would look like using potion magic.
[Item: Small Castle-Meyer Reagent.]
[Item: Small Ethanol.]
[Item: Small Hydrogen Peroxide.]
[Item: Small Water.]
[Item: Filter Paper Pack.]
[Item: Cotton Swab Pack.]
Oho! So that means it! I understood a little after this little screen of information came out while holding it.
[Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits Time Limit: 23:59:56.]
Suddenly there was a countdown of time. I don't know why, it seems like this item has a usage time limit.
What seal was meant to maintain the quality of this item?
It can be thought about later, now is the time to try this item!
I took out one of the [Cotton Swabs] and wet it with the water in the box [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits]. Carefully palpating the brownish stain I found in front of the entrance, it felt a little rough for the liquid that had dried up. Don't blame me for taking this sample because it looks so visually clear. I slowly rubbed the head of the [Cotton Swab] carefully over the brownish stain and slowly the head of the [Cotton Swab] started to brown.
“What are you doing?” Saintess Vallie asked me.
He seemed a little curious about what I was doing. Not only was Saintess Vallie alone, but the few warriors standing behind her were also curious.
Checking this entire place to look for traces of blood and evidence left behind would probably take a long time. Even if it is found, something like coincidentally finding evidence at a polluted scene is very difficult. But the chances of finding it are not zero! It could be that the evidence is there but we can't find it!
Actually, I was planning to look for the remaining traces of blood and take some DNA samples left behind. Visually searching for traces of blood and testing them with this method will take a lot of time. For the traces of blood that have been cleaned, I will use luminol liquid and match the position of the location of the corpse based on the physical evidence shown by the recorder crystal.
My guess is, this will take all day.
I'm going to school tomorrow too! Moreover, how is the division of the time system in this world? I can't possibly use silly excuses when I'm late for school because I play games!
Just think about it later, now I have to solve this case for the sake of logging out and going home!
I looked at Saintess Vallie.
“I'm just making sure if this is dried up human blood or not” I replied briefly.
Slowly and carefully, I dripped the liquid [Item: Small Kastle-Meyer Reagent] onto the head of the [Cotton Swab]. This glass tube shape is a little difficult for me. It will be easier if this liquid is wrapped with a glass dropper or tip that makes it easier to drip liquid such as eye drops packaging.
Slowly the liquid hit the brownish [Cotton Swab] head. No reaction occurred but at least this was still in its early stages. Next, I dripped the liquid [Item: Small Ethanol] carefully not to spill all of its contents. Just like before, no reaction occurred and the [Cotton Swab] head was getting bigger because of the amount of fluid it absorbed. Lastly, I drip [Item: Small Hydrogen Peroxide].
Step by step I did and slowly the liquid changed color. The originally brownish [Cotton Swab] head now features a bright pink color with a hint of purple stain. But we have a positive reaction that this stain is human blood.
This is a Presumptive Test that can be done at the scene, this test is often done to distinguish whether the stain is just dirt or blood, or not, it can then be used to distinguish whether it is human blood or animal blood. For certainty, further analysis can be done through Takayama Test, RSID Test, ABACard HemaTrace Test Strips, and detailed examination with DNA Test.
[Biological Evidence found! +1 Evidence!]
[Detective Book Case not found! Evidence Reset!]
[Detective Skill: Basic Phenolphthalein Efficiency Active!]
Eh?
Whatisthis?
I don't get evidence? What the hell does that mean?
The Detective Book Case? Whatisit? I don't know what it is, but not getting evidence just because not having a Detective Book Case leaves me a little disappointed.
“What is it?” Saintess Vallie was now observing the colour-changing [Cotton Swab] up close.
I gave that [Cotton Swab] sample to Saintess Vallie. He was trying to understand what he saw.
“React positive, meaning this brownish stain is dried human blood” I smiled and looked at the soldier behind him.
Their reactions are very pale. Like a child who steals food from a storage cabinet.
“Hooo.. interesting.. how does it work?” saintess Vallie's gaze was like a child being curious by a new toy.
Is something like this not in this world?
“Well, shouldn't we look for other evidence?” I opened the [Detective Tool Shop] menu list and bought [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits] five items.
“You want to try it?” while saying that. I gave the five sealed items [Small Phenolphthalein Toolkits] to Saintess Vallie.
Saintess Vallie received the item and forcibly unsealed the wrapping seal. He seemed very curious to try it out immediately.
I guess, with such an old age pouring liquid would be very difficult so I gave him [Item: Small Pipette Dropper] for 5 Copper Coins for one package containing ten items. It's cheap enough so I'll give it to him for free.
I gave you an example of how to use that pippet. It felt a bit brazen to force an older person with a trembling hand to pour a small liquid, so this was worth the result.
Manners and manners are important! Remember that!
I give simple instructions that are easy to understand for parents. It was not only Saintess Vallie who listened to my instructions but some curious warriors who came together to listen to my simple explanation.
Once again I saw their facial expressions, the annoyance of their hard work to eliminate the evidence was very clear. In contrast to Saintess Vallie who was so excited like a hunter who smelled the smell of his prey. He eagerly searched for the remains from the visible brownish stains, his two bodyguards also helped him search for traces of the nearly erased brown stains.
Eh?
Wait up!
Why think about it now!
Did they deliberately eliminate evidence?
If it was to be rethought, was it possible that a trained royal warrior would just take away the evidence?
It's like they found out what was going on and deliberately cleared the scene to keep Saintess Vallie from knowing about what had happened?
Or do they know nothing but find an order to clean up the mess in this place?
All that is quite reasonable when viewed from this position and eliminates the possibility about “coincident” they are in this place.
That is, cleaning the scene of this incident is a deliberate act to eliminate evidence. Either it's the orders of their superiors or something authorized to move all these soldiers.
Saitess Vallie and the royal party. One side wants to look for evidence and one side wants to eliminate evidence.
Are they at odds?
At least, now I understand what is going on in this kingdom. Why did it take so long until I realized it.
Am I this late to realize this situation? I guess I'll have to sharpen my instincts and sensibilities as a detective to solve future cases.
Something caught my attention, not far from the entrance was a table with a wooden box on it containing pieces of armor and some weapons.
“Can I know what it is?” I pointed at the box that contained pieces of armor and weapons.
“Eh. i-i-ituuu.”
“Ahhh..”.
“Hey, didn't you say you wanted to throw it away!”
“I forgot!”
The only answer I got was a nervous remark and a small confession from some soldiers. Of course it's suspicious, isn't it?
I close my steps to take a closer look. A black stain and a brown spot stuck to one end of a twisted weapon. The two stains were clearly visible visually, I tried to touch it and it had hardened. Using [Cotton Swab], I took two different samples of it. The small stain attached to the head of the [Cotton Swab] was enough to carry out further tests.
Just in case. I took that sample again as evidence backup.
I did a little test on both of those stains, although I'm sure the brown stains were blood but I need certainty to be absolutely sure if the brown stains were blood.
The sample with the black stain I found had a bright purple reaction, while the sample with the brown spot stain had a bright pink reaction. Two different reactions in the same place, especially on a weapon.
This weapon certainly holds a story that needs to be heard. We just need to hear it from another source or this weapon has said it.

Again, I got the same notification. Looks like, I have to find out what it is [Detective Book Case]. In the menu list [Detective Tool Shop] there is a list of recommended items required by Class Detective. I think I missed that list of recommendations. It feels a little strange with the notification I received.
[Detective Book Case has entered the inventory!]
[HLC-800 has entered into inventory!]
[SRF-Camera has entered the inventory!]
[Disposable Rubber Gloves have entered into inventory!]
[Disposable Mask has entered into inventory!]
That additional item had cost me 25 Silver Coins, as I only had 10 Gold Coins and 925 Copper Coins, respectively, so I was forced to exchange my 1 Gold Coin to 1,000 Silver Coins and pay a currency exchange rate tax of 100 Copper Coins.
Even exchanging currency pays taxes? Very realistic about this game.
I opened my inventory and took out some items like [Detective Book Case], [SRF-Camera], and [HLC-800].

Basically, it's just a book to fill out a list of evidence items and a running Quest, a flashlight capable of changing its light mode, and a digital camera.
I tried using the [SRF-Camera] item and took a picture of the box full of those weapons and armor.
[Evidence found! +1 Evidence!]
[Detective Book Case has been updated! 1 Evidence recorded!]
Oh!! So this is how to use it!
I was a little surprised and also happy! This item is very useful as it turns out.
Well, should I farm the other evidence here?
I took a picture back at the end of [Cotton Swab]'s head.
[Biological Evidence found! +1 Evidence!]
[Detective Book Case has been updated! 1 Evidence recorded!]
I looked at the [Detective Book Case] and opened the first sheet. There are some photos with the words [Evidende] and [Biological Evidence]. This book is really useful for gathering evidence. I'm very helped with this.
Next, maybe I'll use luminol to see the blood being erased.
The seal that wrapped [Small Luminol Toolkits] opened, inside was a glass tube and a small spray-like tool. I unscrewed the luminol and put the little tool in and tightened the lid.
I slightly pressed the tip to make sure the luminol was pumped out. Then, I took out the recorder crystal that I got to see the pile of bodies found.
All of a sudden, I was surprised by the appearance of Saintess Vallie carrying some pink [Cotton Swabs]. It seemed, he had finished hunting for evidence.
Saintess Vallie is now looking at the thing in my hand. Although he was old, but his curiosity was like a child who wanted to snatch someone's toy.
Before he asks, I should give an explanation of what is in my hand and what I will do next.
“Emm.. have you seen glowing blood before?” I hesitated a little when I asked this. But the reaction I got was just a small laugh between Saintess Vallie and some soldiers.
I can decipher it.
The glowing blood? That is possible especially when we use chemical reactions to make our blood glow. Well, this is where the role of luminol takes over.
Luminol is one of the strongest weapons for detecting blood stains that disappear and is often used in forensic analysis. When luminol reacts to the same hydrogen peroxide as when doing the Phenolphthalein Test, it reacts and produces enough energy to emit light. The reaction is quite weak so it is recommended to see it in the dark, but this is where our blood iron acts because our blood iron will speed up the reaction of luminol to produce light. The process is the same as fireflies and fluorescent worms produce light in their bodies. Because luminol is a little sensitive, it can detect the presence of traces of blood even though the place has been cleaned by utilizing the blood iron left behind.
You could say luminol is very suitable for this condition!
I activated the recording crystal and observed the arrangement of the location of the recording and compared it to this place.
Mapping the location of the incident based on physical evidence is very important to process the scene. All the images shown by this crystal recorder turned out to match this location.
Out of all the places shown, there was one place that caught my attention, right in the middle of this room was a pile of corpses that were mountainous with blood flowing like a river.
I walked towards the midpoint of this building, squatted down and sprayed the luminol liquid and waited for his reaction.
[Biological Evidence found! +1 Evidence!]
[Detective Book Case has been updated! 1 Evidence recorded!]
[Detective Skill: Basic Luminol Efficiency Active!]
The luminol I sprayed got a two-color, glowing reaction. Most of the light was blue and the six small purple glowing dots were clearly visible. Fortunately, the condition of this room is a little dark so the radiating light can be seen clearly.
I took my camera and documented this. The existence of two similar reactions between Phenolphthalein Test and Luminol Test shows that there is one evidence that has been revealed.I am happy to have increased the sensitivity of my detective skills on these two skills. Moreover, I am very happy because this case is not a complicated case and can be solved.
Based on a blood sample found on one of the weapons and the luminol reaction in the middle of this room. Someone has injured the main culprit.
Two tests that show there's something scary here, but how do I tell Saintess Vallie if the main culprit is so unique?
[Detective Book Case has been updated! 1 Case Closed!]
Whatisthis? I opened the [Detective Book Case] and found that there were several options open. It contains Quest information and a small report on the evidence that has been done including the potential main actors that can be filled manually.
But apparently, before filling out the answer of this case. I'd better find some additional evidence.
I think I only did two tests, but why is the case solving so fast?
Is this just a tutorial?

Since when did I find those 12 pieces of evidence! I only use these tools once. I don't know why 12 pieces of evidence have been found.
Suddenly my hand was pulled by someone.
Oh, that's right too. The rest of the evidence is in this guy.
“A-What's thisii!! Why can it glow?” Saintess Vallie pulled my hand and looked at the luminol liquid I was holding.
Uh! I think I know why so much evidence has been found.
I've heard that curiosity kills cats, but have you ever heard of curiosity changing someone's age? Old Saintess Vallie now had a childlike spirit curious about something.
His gaze continued towards the luminol liquid I was holding.
“You tried it?”
Saintess Vallie simply nodded and took the luminol liquid that was in my hands forcibly.
“How does it work?” ask Saintess Vallie.
How do I explain it? Does Saintess Vallie understand scientific concepts? I think a brief explanation is understandable.
I took the crystal recorder and gave it to Saintess Vallie.
“We try to match this recording, even though the blood has been cleaned but this liquid will emit a bright blue light if it finds the remnants of human blood even though it has been cleaned”, I replied.
“Hoooooooh.. so..” replied Saintess Vallie briefly.
I saw Saintess Vallie walking down the place that was aimed at the crystal recorder.
I turned my gaze to the troops behind Saintess Vallie.
Their expressions were shocked and as if they could not believe what had happened.
I looked back at Saintess Vallie and realized why everyone was shocked.
In an instant, this place turned into a sea of blue-colored light. Behind the beauty, there is a great tragedy that has happened. Without that blood, this sparkle of blue light was not created.
Beautiful yet terrifying..
Now how do I wait for Saintess Vallie to be satisfied with this little experiment.
I walked out of this room to enjoy the fresh breeze.
Oho! Also true! While waiting.what if I use that sample for CODIS analysis.
I re-opened the [Detective Tool Shop] menu and accessed CODIS. An expensive price must be paid to access CODIS.
1 Gold Coin for 10 DNA samples.
So expensive!
