34. Audrey's Biggest Wish

The three of us ate the cakes that Dimas bought.

Joking laughter accompanied, especially when Audrey told me she could answer the three-number reduction and got a score of 100 by her teacher.

"Well, great baby. Improve your learning, yes" I said praising Audrey. Keep in mind that reduction is the biggest problem from the start. Suddenly Audrey could subtract even three numbers, isn't that a surprise?

"Papa will give you a gift, but tomorrow will you?"

Audrey showed a smile. "Thank you Ma, Pa. You guys are the best! Audrey's happy, you two." Audrey hugged Mas Dimas first then hugged me.

Audrey sat back down on the side of us. But his face suddenly returned moody. "Why baby?" manywould be concerned.

"Yes, why Audrey? Is something wrong?" Dimas asked. We both touched Audrey's shoulder the same, but with different sides.

"Pa," said Audrey as she stared at Dimas.

Her Mas Dimas first looked at me, then spoke, "Why Audrey?"

"So Papa said Papa would give Audrey a present, right?" ask Audrey.

"Iy–ya. Papa's gonna give me whatever Audrey wants!" reply Mas Dimas with confidence.

"Audrey, want us to stay home again Pa, Ma. Mama Sarah is gone, and Papa is no longer affected. So Audrey wants Papa to sleep in the same room as Audrey and Mama. Audrey is so happy that Papa and Mama are together again!"

I let out a breath. Lemas heard Audrey's heart yearning.

'If you knew, baby. Papa and Mama couldn't sleep in the room ..' My mind spoke. But it's impossible to tell Audrey.

For the reason we hid this divorce status in order to preserve Audrey's mental and social health. There are so many children who become 'anti-social' because one parent is not with them.

But now? We are not–

"Papa's going to sleep with Audrey and Mama tonight."

After eating the pastries, and Audrey was buying the ketchup that ran out in the shop next door, I decided to speak to Dimas for one eye.

"Mas!"

"What?" Mas Dimas showed his surprise because I yelled at him.

"Why didn't I refuse? We are separated, Mom! Do you want us to commit adultery if we sleep in bed? Or, Mas deliberately used Audrey to sleep with me huh?! Remember yes, Mama. I've been heartened to keep the Dimas mas close to Audrey after the breakup. I beg you not to abuse it .." These tears do not flow, I am too afraid of sin.

And the embrace of Mas Dimas while stroking my head makes this heart again more cool.

Huh.

I admit it feels warm and pleasant. But I realize, it's a mistake. So I rebelled.

"Let Go!" pissed me.

"Sorry .." That's all Mas Dimas said.

Not wanting to prolong the matter, I went to the kitchen to continue the cooking that had been left behind due to anger.

"Ma, here's the soy sauce."

"Thank you dear .." I said while showing a smile. But Audrey's face looked gloomy.

Turn down the fire, and line up with Audrey, "Why are you moody, honey?"

"Hem, it's Ma. Papa left the house when Audrey wanted to go into the house, and papa kept saying, Papa has business. Papa's not leaving tonight, is he? Audrey means, Papa didn't lie because tonight we're going to sleep in one room, right?"

I fell silent after hearing a question from my daughter.
