This week Gerry spent at home alone playing with Baby Rey until tired. Gerry actually paid for his missed time with Baby Rey during her seven-month coma.
"Catch up, Rey!" Gerry threw a small red ball at Baby Rey.
"Dark...." With both of his tiny hands Baby Rey tried to catch the ball given Papa but always ended in failure.
"Catch it again, yeah!" This time Gerry threw a yellow ball.
"Damn..." Baby Rey laughed as the yellow ball caught her hand.
"Papa's son is smart!" Gerry approaches his son and gives a kiss on Baby Rey's cheek.
"Awaa... Ehee..." Baby Rey laughed.
"Pa..." Baby Rey patted Gerry on the cheek as Gerry stopped his kiss.
"This hand is hard to hit." Gerry takes both tiny hands Baby Rey then kisses her fat.
"Gerry... Let's eat first." Kyara's head seemed to pop out from behind the door.
Gerry stopped his activities. Lifting Baby Rey into her cradle.
"Has Mama and Papa been at the dinner table?" Ask to get closer to Kyara.
Kyara's head nodded. "They've been waiting since fifteen minutes ago." Unmistakably.
"All right." Gerry takes Baby Rey to walk out of the room following Kyara's steps.
At the dinner table, Mama Riana, Papa Johan and Rania are having a serious conversation.
"Do you really want to go home today, son?" Mama Riana's face looks sad.
Mama Riana's breath sounded heavy. "Even though Auntie's very happy if you stay here." His complaint.
Rania's smile widened. "There's work I have to do, Auntie." His words are so sad.
Mama Riana looked at her old friend wistfully. "Yes, Auntie understands." Mama Riana forced her smile even though she was unwilling. Since yesterday Mama Riana had asked Rania to stay for a while in the main mansion before she and Papa Johan left for Japan one more week.
Gerry and Kyara join them after leaving Baby Rey to one of the waiters to look after Baby Rey during their meal.
"Why is Mama's face so sad?" Gerry asked when he saw the look on his mother's moody face. Gerry sat his body in the chair opposite Mama Riana.
"Mama is just sad because Rania is going to go back to her village today."
Gerry's breathing slowed down. Not much different from Mama Riana, Kyara was also sad because her best friend had to go home to her village as soon as possible. What's more when Kyara tells the reason that became the driver of Rania must return.
Kyara's face was also glum looking at Rania who forced her smile towards him. But Kyara clearly saw the dam of tears as much as Rania could withstand. It's hard for Kyara to part with her best friend. Moreover, they have spent a lot of time together in joy and sorrow in the past year. Rania is not just a friend to him. But Rania has also been a part of Kyara's life until whenever it is.
"I'll come back here if there's free time. Aunty and Om can also visit me with Kyara and Baby Rey if Aunty is back in the country again." Rania.
Mama Riana and Kyara smiled forcefully. Finally they started their lunch after getting a referral from Papa Johan.
