Archie's Suspicion

Archie gathered all his suspicions all along regarding Jasper and Rachel. Archie is reluctant to ask Jasper further, because he knows for sure his best friend will be evasive.

"I'm sure Rachel isn't your housekeeper! Is Rachel your wife? Tap why can?" Archie muttered while looking at his class photo. The photo shows a warm portrait of his classmates. In the photo also shows Jasper looking at Rachel who was sitting in front.

"I have to make sure they don't get married" Archie comes down from his room to see his father.

"Papa?" Call Archie to his father named Nino who is currently busy watching tv in the living room.

"Yes, son?" Nino replied warmly to his eldest son.

"Let's talk!" Archie sat next to his father who was still very handsome and charismatic even though he was no longer young.

"Which mom?" Archie searches for the whereabouts of his invisible mother.

"You're in the kitchen" Nino turned off the television. He was very fond of time together with his son. Nino always listens to her children talking carefully without anyone bothering her.

Archie also explained all his confusion and suspicion towards Jasper. Nino also only smiled a little to hear his son's very responsive speech about something.

"Tomorrow Papa will ask directly to Om Kai. Then after that, Papa will tell you," Nino responded to Archie's story.

"Thank you, Pa. You are the one who understands Archie the most" Archie smiled.

To keep his promise to his son, the next day Nino immediately came to Kai's house. Kai is Nino's best friend during Junior High School and college. Their friendship relationship is very well built even today. Now Nino is in Kai's house to ask for confirmation about Jasper and Rachel's status.

"Where did you get that info?" Kai took a sip of the Moccacino that was in his cup.

"From my son. He's just suspicious. Come, Kai! You couldn't have married your college-age son?" Nino also drank the Moccacino that was served to her.

"If Jasper is married, how would you respond?" Kai asked back.

"I'm sure you won't be rash. I know you so well" replied Nino.

Kai looked far away.

"Jasper's already taken something precious from a girl. I just want him to act like a man" Kai started telling me.

"Archie's right. Our son's classmate named Rachel is my daughter-in-law" he continued.

"You crazy? Come, Kai! They are young. Such a thing is not taboo in our country. There were even how many who were housebound without marriage ties and had children," Nino felt astonished.

"Haha," Nino laughed which left Kai astonished.

"Why are you laughing?" Kai raised his voice.

"I just feel like De Javu. You married your wife because you had to, too" Nino said, laughing.

"And now your son feels the same way. I guess, surely they didn't love each other," Nino rubbed the wet end of her eyes from laughing too crisply.

"No. Rachel loves my son. He did inherit my fate," Kai chuckled.

"I'm sure the girl is kind, warm-hearted and also reliable. So I married Jasper to Rachel. The girl was a former nightclub clerk at Digbeth. She is from Bulgaria," Kai explained Rachel's background.

"You crazy? Are you seriously marrying your son to a former club employee?" Nino rounded her eyes. Because he really knows how nightclub life, because when he was young Nino was a very free person.

"I've looked at all his background and how he works at the club. You think I'd like to pair my son with a bad girl?" Kai seemed to be in disbelief.

"All did not escape I investigated until his life in Bulgaria I knew. His family life I know. Even the lives of his grandparents and I know" he continued.

"Yes, I believe that," Nino nodded her head.

"Then, what about Aurora, Beverly's chatty princess? Isn't your son crazy about her?"

"Let my son choose" Kai rose from his seat.

Aurora is looking through her childhood album. The album featured him with Jasper.

"Jasper is my shadow. She always went wherever I went" Aurora smiled at the rows of photographs of Jasper that seemed to be approaching her.

"Why am I so unaware of your existence, J?" Aurora rubs Jasper's face in the photo.

"I'm always happy to be around you. I've always wanted to be around you now" Aurora continued to smile.

"I want us to start a new relationship, certainly not a relationship as a pair of friends!" Aurora closes her photo album.
