A New Life

Neither Jasper nor Rachel came to court to attend their divorce hearing. The husband and wife appointed a lawyer to end their household.

Neither Jasper nor Rachel showed any evidence of infidelity in court. They have video evidence of Jasper and Aurora together, as well as Hans and Rachel.

As there was no evidence at the trial, the judge ruled that Jasper and Rachel lived separately for at least two years before her divorce was legalized by the state.

The lawyer appointed by Jasper informed his client. I don't know why Jasper's heart was a little relieved to hear that. What exactly does Jasper want right now? Isn't this the divorce she's been waiting for for so long? It's easy, though, that if Jasper wants the divorce to be quick, he'll just have to pull out evidence of Rachel and Hans' affair to fight Rachel's divorce lawsuit. But that stopped him from doing.

Jasper enters Rachel's now empty room. He looked at every corner of the room. The room was empty and neat. The memory of Rachel was so tormenting.

"I think this dress suits you!" Rachel chose the clothes that her husband would wear to go to college.

Jasper looked at the shadow. He rubbed his face rough. Why didn't Rachel also go out of her mind? What exactly does Jasper want?

Jasper then went down and into the kitchen. It was as if she saw Rachel cooking there and preparing food for her.

"I have to get out of this damned house!" Jasper could not stand the memory of his wife.

Jasper packed all his things, and then he went home to his parents. Alula greeted her son with sadness.

"Darling?" Alula hugged Jasper and cried. He didn't expect Jasper to come home this way.

Jasper continued to hug his mother, trying to find the calmness of heart that some days he did not get.

"Don't be a whiny man! Take responsibility for all your choices!" Kai said to his son.

Jasper just nodded, then he went inside his room. The room she lived in before her marriage to Rachel.

"I've never felt this empty!" Jasper muttered as he lay down his body on a king-size mattress.

I don't know why Jasper was so looking forward to his graduation day. His face was so bright this morning. Alula, Kai and her sister Kimberly prepare to deliver Jasper to the graduation ceremony that will be held today. Jasper drives with a smile. It made Alula's heart hurt.

"You know you want to see your wife there, but you know baby, Rachel won't come" Alula looked at her smiling son.

They arrived at the campus hall, where the graduation was held today. Jasper turned his head around to find a woman who was so disturbing his mind.

"Where is he? Why doesn't he exist?" Jasper's looking for Rachel.

"Who are you looking for?" Kimberly asked.

"I'm looking for Aurora" Jasper said.

"Aurora's? Didn't he just give you flowers? Why look for him now? He's right there!" Kimberly pointed at Aurora who was having a selfie with her toga hat.

"I don't see," Jasper pretended to scratch his non-itchy nape.

Jasper then sees Nicole carrying flowers for her other friends. Nicole did not graduate today, because she had not undergone a thesis trial.

"Where's your friend?" Jasper asked Nicole.

"Who?" Nicole pretends not to know.

"Your friend. What's-her-name? I forget. The girl from Bulgaria. Chelsea or what his name is," Jasper pretends to forget.

Nicole pulled the tip of her lips slightly. He was so entertained to see the behavior of Jasper who still maintained his high ego.

"Rachel?" Nicole asked back.

"Yes. I didn't see it. Where the hell is he? Hasn't he been in court?" Jasper keeps digging for info from Nicole.

"Why do you want to know about him?" Nicole answered loudly.

"I just want to count how many people in our class are graduating today" Jasper gave an excuse.

"Rachel didn't come to graduation. He didn't go to the ceremony. Rachel's moving out of town, or she could be going back to Bulgaria. I don't know. All I know is, Rachel's gonna make a baby-dress business," Nicole looks fishing.

"Moved?" Jasper mutters. It was like being struck by lightning during the day. Jasper felt his heart ache to hear what Nicole was saying.

Jasper walked slowly towards his parents and his sister. The smile he had spread from this morning was gone. In the midst of his turmoil. Aurora ran towards him.

"J, wait!" Aurora pursues Jasper's massive steps.

"Where to from? I'm waiting" Jasper pretended to smile.

"You should see this, J!" Aurora did not answer. He took his phone from his bag and showed me a video.

"What video is this?" Jasper looked confused. Aurora also played the video.

"Together, Alan. I'm glad to be working with you" Rachel smiled back.

That's a piece of Rachel and Alan's conversation in the video.

"It turns out Rachel worked with Alan to set you up in that hotel" Aurora warmed up.

"Where did you get this video?" Jasper asked in an angry tone.

"When trial. I saw them chatting. So, I'll just record it" Aurora smiled.

Jasper clenched his hands. He felt he had been lied to a second time.

"Stop now! Stop looking for that woman!" Inner Jasper to himself.

Though the video was a collaboration between Alan and Rachel about baby clothes. Alan accidentally saw the baby clothes design that Rachel drew while in class. Alan was so interested that he wanted to give something to his newborn nephew. Alan intends to buy Rachel's design and will ask the fashion house to sew it. However, Rachel offered her knitting. Alan would agree. Wouldn't it be better if done by the person who designed it? Alan then pays Rachel for the design and knitting.

4 Weeks later....

Rachel saw a positive test result. She has been menstruating late for 3 weeks, so she took the initiative to do a pregnancy test with tespack.

"How did it go?" Nicole hunts down Rachel who just came out of the bathroom. Rachel is still living in Nicole's apartment. He plans to move out of town for another week.

Rachel did not answer. His body looks like a dreg. Rachel staggered and sat on the floor. His hands were shaking holding the tespack. Nicole snatched the tespack from Rachel's hand.

"You're pregnant!" Nicole stared at the tespack in disbelief.

Rachel immediately covered her face with her hands. He cried sobbing.

"Why is my fate always like this?" Rachel asked in a loud voice.

"When Jasper doesn't want me, why should there be another life in my body?" Rachel kept crying.

Nicole, who saw the heart-wrenching cry, sat down in front of Rachel. Nicole was crying. I am saddened by the fate of his friend.

"Maybe it's god's way to reunite you with Jasper," Nicole hugs Rachel's fragile body.

"Our marriage was broken and could not be saved. Jasper doesn't want me anymore" Rachel kept crying.

"Then, what's your plan?"

"Please, don't tell anyone about my pregnancy!" Rachel Pinta. Nicole immediately nodded in agreement. He did not want to interfere too deeply in Rachel's personal life. Plus the closeness of Jasper and Aurora during the graduation event is so sweet for Nicole.

The next day, Rachel goes to one of the largest hospitals in Birmingham. She intends to check her pregnancy. Although this pregnancy is not desired, but Rachel must make sure her child is in good health. Rachel went to the best hospital in the city of Birmingham with the money that Jasper gave for one year. Rachel does work for her daily needs, so she does not need to use money from Jasper. However, Jasper still transfers the money to Rachel's account, even though he knows Rachel won't wear it.

"Finally money from you I used" murmured Rachel.

"Maybe you're your father's replacement to accompany Mama so as not to live a piece of kara," Rachel stroked her flat belly while waiting for a queue at the poly obygyn. Without realizing it, two people walked up to him.

"Rachel?" Sapa a woman that Rachel knows so well.

"Mama?" Rachel stood up from her seat. Surprised by the arrival of Alula and Kimberly, her sister-in-law.

"Why haven't you ever seen Mama? What are you doing here, son?" Alula seemed to be wondering.

"I-" Rachel's tongue feels muddy. Alula and Kimberly caught him wet.

"Is sister pregnant?" Kimberly narrowed her eyes.

Alula immediately rounded her eyes.

"Nope-no. Rachel just wanted to check Rachel's monthly cycle," Rachel lied.

"What's your mom doing here?" Rachel diverts.

"Mama got insomnia because of your divorce. So, my mom came to this hospital. Well then, let Mama take you inside!" Alula looked increasingly suspicious.

"Mama, Rachel can be alone. Mom and Kim just go home. Mama needs to rest," Rachel looked panicked.

"You know Mama, right? Mama is indisputable" Alula insisted.

"Mrs Rachel! Please enter!" Call nurse.

"Let's Mama take you in!" Alula held Rachel's hand into the examination room.
