Let's Get Divorced

Let's Get Divorced
Second Report of Rachel's Parents

Rachel wakes up as usual, cooking and preparing breakfast for her husband before going to college.

"Let's eat! I'm cooking a special meal for you!" Rachel said to Jasper who was wearing a backpack on his back.

"I'm not hungry yet" Jasper replied coldly.

"Then you have to take him to college. For a moment I put the food in the lunch box," Rachel was about to leave in front of Jasper.

"No need. I can buy it," Jasper's face looks cranky.

"But-" Rachel tries to persuade.

"You don't have to cook for me anymore" said the man coldly, then passed by without looking at Rachel.

"I have to get used to this" Rachel tried to comfort her grieving self.

As Rachel was about to walk into the kitchen, her phone rang.

"Sister Daniella," Rachel smiled as her brother called.

Jasper who was already at the doorway stopped his legs and turned towards Rachel who started talking to Daniella. Secretly, Jasper was curious about Rachel's conversation with her sister-in-law.

"You asked me to come to your house? All right, I'll come after college," Rachel's voice caught on Jasper's ear.

"I don't care where he's going" Jasper came out of the house and rushed to his campus. There was no more offer from him to go together to campus like he used to do lately.

"What's the real connection between you and Jasper?" Nicole interviews Rachel as she walks into class.

"Why are you asking like that?" Rachel glanced at Jasper who was busy reading the book in her hand.

"She was seen approaching you and was infatuated with you. But look at it now! It's as if he doesn't recognize you. You dated and broke up with her, right?" Nicole probes.

"More than that Nicole. I am his wife" whispered Rachel in his heart.

"No. Back then maybe she just wanted to cheat on my scientific research, so she approached me, "Rachel gave an original answer.

"I'm not sure. He's a smart student. Where might he want to copy the research assignment from you," Nicole refuted.

"I don't know what he's up to either. Maybe she just wanted to dig up the Aurora info for me, "again Rachel had to rack her brain to give Nicole an explanation.

"You and Aurora are not close. Aurora's very close to Chloe instead of you" Nicole again denied.

"That's it. It doesn't matter" Rachel ended the conversation because the lecturer had already come to class and the lecture was about to begin.

***

College hours are over. Rachel walks towards the campus gate to go to Daniella's house. Before returning home, Rachel sees her husband in the campus parking area and goes home first. Rachel then got into the taxi she ordered. The destination was Daniella's house.

In another corner, a man was following where Rachel had gone. And that's Jasper. His heart kept rebelling not to care about his wife, but some of his other heart rejected it. Jasper's defense loses, listening more to his heart to follow where Rachel went. Jasper continues to follow Rachel at a distance far enough to avoid being caught.

"Sister?" Rachel greets Daniella as she walks into her sister's house.

"Rachel?" Daniella stood up from her seat. He hugged his sister tightly.

"Sister misses you. Why do you rarely see your sister?" Daniella smashed her lips.

"I have a lot of work on campus" Rachel tried to hide. However, he did not want to make Daniella think and worry about her condition.

"Let's sit!" Daniella pulls Rachel's hand.

"So, what's wrong, brother?" Rachel looked at Daniella.

Daniella did not answer, she put on a very sad face.

"You all right, brother?" Rachel waved her hand in front of Daniella's gloomy face.

"Rachel?" Daniella murmuring.

"Father and mother are very ill. They're in trouble right now," Daniella's tears started dripping down her cheeks.

"ill? What pain, brother?" Rachel asked worriedly to Daniella. His tone also rose when he heard about the condition of his parents.

"I don't know exactly what it's like, Rachel. But my aunt gave me news that I couldn't go anywhere. As for the mother, tired of making money, she became sick, "Daniella took a tissue and wiped her tears with the tissue.

"Has Jasper's money gone?" Rachel was crying. He imagined how his parents were in Bulgaria without any children accompanying them.

"Maybe you used the money to m*buk-m*not. You must know how Dad behaved. And auntie also reported that our childhood home has been confiscated by people who give fathers and mothers loans," Daniella expressed her grief.

"I didn't expect our parents to be like that, brother. In that case, I will ask Jasper for permission to go back there," Rachel was about to stand up from her seat.

"Rachel, are you sure? Aren't you in college now? Won't it interfere with your college time?" Daniella held her sister's hand.

Rachel sat back down, especially now that she is undergoing midterms.

"Then, what should we do, brother?" Rachel said with her heartbroken face.

"Rachel, you know you only work as a customer service. Although the salary is quite large, but the salary of the sister used up the daily expenses and for the tuition of S2 sister. Big brother can only set it aside a little and it will big brother send it to them. Rachel, can you add more money to it? Brother wants them to get decent health facilities."

"Of course you can, brother. I'll work out what I can. But, how do you and your mom take money from us?" Rachel asked in confusion.

"Sister will send it to aunt. Aunty is a trustworthy person" Daniella said. The aunt here is the younger sister of Rachel's mother whom Rachel considers to be her own mother.

"Rachel, I hope your money will be enough for both of our parents to rent a house, too" Daniella said.

"Yes, brother. I'll go home first. Take care of yourself!," Rachel stepped out of Daniella's house.

Jasper who was waiting outside kept watching Rachel. He saw his wife walking down the street and stopped a taxi. The man gasped to follow Rachel back.

"Where should I go for money?" Rachel rested her body in the passenger seat. His mind was really troubled thinking about the condition of his parents who were concerned.

"I can't possibly use my monthly money and Jasper's," Rachel muttered. While the taxi driver occasionally glanced from the rearview mirror when he heard Rachel's mutter.

"Sir, please go to the Boston Villages housing!" Pinta Rachel in the end. His heart took him to go to his father-in-law's house. Only they can help Rachel right now.

"Do you want Rachel to go to Mama and Papa's house?" Jasper wondered as a taxi headed towards his parents' second residence.

A housekeeper who was old enough opened the door. Her name is Aunt May who has worked in the Allen family for decades.

"Miss?" Aunt May smiled at Rachel.

"Bi, Mama is there?" Rachel asked with a sad face.

"She, Miss. Please enter!"

Rachel came in and sat down on the living room couch. Meanwhile, Aunt May goes to Alula's room to inform Rachel of her arrival.

"Rachel?" Say hello to Alula when she sees her daughter-in-law.

"Mama?" Rachel tried to smile.

"What are you doing here? Did you give up and want to claim my son's divorce?" Syndical Alula.

"No. I'll never break up with him."

"Then, what brings you here?" Alula sipped the warm tea that had just been served on the table.

"It's very privacy, Ma. Can we talk in a more closed place?" Rachel asked.

"Can" Alula nodded. She stood up and walked towards her husband's office. Kai is still working and has not returned home.

"So, what's up?" Alula looked impatient.

Rachel bit her lips, she played her fingers nervously. Rachel never borrowed money before.

"Ma, I'm sorry if Rachel's presumptuous. Can Rachel borrow Mama's money?" Rachel tried hard to resist the embarrassment that had invaded her heart.

"Borrow money? Wh-wh-what for? Have your needs not been met?" Alula was astonished.

"I just got the information that mom and dad are seriously ill. They don't have the money to go for treatment and" Rachel tries to catch her breath.

Alula got up from her seat. He sat down next to his daughter-in-law and stroked her back. From the beginning, Alula remained a woman who was innocent and easily sympathetic to others, especially to her family members.

"And their house has been confiscated for not paying the debt," Rachel cried in front of Alula.

"You know where it's coming from?" Alula looked at her daughter-in-law.

"Aunt informs about their situation in Bulgaria. Mama, I feel like I failed as a child. I wasn't there when they needed me" Rachel sobbed.

"Dear, relax! You didn't fail to be a child" comforted Alula.

"I wasn't there when they needed me" Rachel wiped her tears.

"Calm down! Mama will help you," Alula calmed down gently.

"Sorry because I'm presumptuous, Ma."

"No. Mama knows how you are. How much money do you need?" Alula asked directly.

"I don't know, Ma. I just want them to be well cared for in the hospital and get a rental home first."

Alula stood up from her seat, she immediately pulled out the paper from the drawer. Alula was seen writing and tearing the paper.

"I hope this is enough to take both your parents to a good hospital and for a place to stay" Alula thrust out the paper which turned out to be a check.

"Ma, isn't this too big? Rachel was worried that she could not pay it" Rachel protested when she saw the huge amount for her.

"Don't think about it! Just focus on your parents!" Alula closed the drawer back in her husband's study.

"Ma, Rachel promised to pay for it.Thank you for helping Rachel," Rachel stood up and immediately hugged Alula.

Without them noticing, someone listened to their conversation from beginning to end.

"Money again," Jasper smiled sinisterly. Jasper got out of the house and got back in his car.

"I'll make sure you don't lie" Jasper pulled out his phone and called someone. He called his father's informant who lives in Bulgaria. This information is the man who escorted her on a summer vacation in Bulgaria.

Two hours passed, Jasper was still waiting for an answer from his informant. It wasn't hard enough for the informant to investigate Rachel's family quickly, since she was indeed in the same town as both of Rachel's parents.

One message came in, Jasper hastily opened the message.

"You lied to me and my family again," Jasper gritted his teeth holding in anger when he saw a message. The message contained news and photos of the condition of Rachel's parents who looked very healthy and fit. In fact, the informant said that Rachel's parents' second home was not confiscated by anyone.
