A Happy End (END)
Two years later...
A couple and their son are enjoying a warm late spring on the waterfront in Manhattan, New York City.
"I congratulate you on your graduation, my dear!" Rachel kissed her husband's cheek gently.
In June, at the end of this spring Jasper graduated from his master's program.
"Thank you, baby!" Jasper, wearing a blue toga, cheeked back at his wife while holding Emrick, who was two years old.
"Thank you for being with me here" Jasper looked at his wife.
After Emrick was three months old, Jasper did decide to move to the United States to continue his S2. He brought his wife and son to Uncle Sam's country. Kai, Alula and all her extended family were so supportive of them. Rachel and Jasper bought an apartment in New York. They decided to take care of Emrick both. In addition to S2, Jasper was accepted to work at JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in New York City.
"Darling?" Jasper took his wife's hand. One hand was holding Emrick's sleeping body in his lap.
"Hmm?" Rachel enjoys the sight of spring that will soon be replaced by summer.
"I finished my college. It's time for you to go to college."
"Lecture? What about Emrick? I guess that's a bad idea," Rachel hurriedly refused.
"Honey, S2 only consists of a few courses. You can go to college and take care of Emrick. There I'll take care of him if you go to college" Jasper tried to persuade.
"Then, what about your job?" Rachel looked worried. He was very keen to continue his S2.
"I will resign from my job at the Bank" Jasper said steadily.
"Resign?" Rachel seemed shocked, because to make ends meet, this little family depended on Jasper's work at the Bank. Jasper did not want to rely on his parents' money. He must be independent and there should be no interference from his parents.
"Our efforts in England have not grown?" Jasper reminded about his property rental business.
"I want to be a businessman. I want to have more time with my family" he continued.
"Will it be enough if I go to college too?" Rachel is not sure.
"I've started our new venture in this city. After taking care of Emrick, I came up with a business idea about baby products."
"Baby products?" Rachel looked confused.
"I want to make a business about baby products such as push walkers for baby walking exercises, hygienic baby utensils and we can make jackets, sweaters and baby coats. I think it's promising. I've already pressed contracts with some vendors."
"That's a great idea. I can design baby clothes. I totally agree," Rachel seemed excited.
"Then continue your education! I want you to reach for your dream," Jasper stroked Rachel's hair in a loving manner.
"My dream has come true. Having a happy family with you," Rachel glazed over. He deeply felt how dear Jasper was to him. Although busy college and work, but Jasper did not forget to always help Rachel in taking care of Emrick.
Jasper smiled warmly. He leaned over his body and kissed his wife's lips gently.
Flashback off
"Thank you for always supporting me to this extent. Until I put this toga on," Rachel's eyes were still teary. This is his graduation day. Emrick is four years old.
"Either. It's my duty as your husband" Jasper fixed Rachel's slightly messy toga hat.
"What's your plan now?" Jasper seemed curious.
"My plan? Can I work?" Rachel asked carefully.
"Yes. Sure oes. Work me! Take good care of our son! I'll pay you anything" Jasper flaunted his white teeth.
"So you won't let me work?" Rachel pursed her lips.
"It's not. It's just that our son still desperately needs your attention. Emrick is four years old. He is in the Golden Age phase. Don't you want to accompany him to study? Her curiosity is so great now, you can explain everything you know to her," Jasper explained well that Rachel could digest it.
"My Bulgarian girl, I told you to go back to college not to tell you to work. College is not just about making money. But there will be new experiences that you get, meet new people, and of course increase the knowledge that you get. Do you understand what I mean? It doesn't matter if you're a university graduate and not working," Jasper cradled his wife's small body.
"A mother who works or does not work is equally noble. They fight for the family in their own way."
"Why are you so wise?" Rachel pinched her husband's cheek.
"Didn't I always say wise?" Jasper laughs.
"I remember the arrogant student who dropped my food box," Rachel seemed to recall the moment when they ospek first.
"Why are you so vindictive?" Jasper laughs.
"Let's go home! Emrick and the others are waiting!" Take Rachel.
"There's a phone!" Jasper removed his wife's body and took the phone in her pants pocket.
"Meeting again?" Rachel sighed as Jasper closed his phone.
The company that her husband founded in the field of baby equipment is indeed advanced and became a trend in New York. That's why Jasper's been busy lately. Sometimes Jasper has to bring Emrick to meet with the client because Rachel has to go to college.
"No. It's your special day. I'm clearing all my schedules. Let's go home!" Jasper holds his wife dressed in a toga shirt at Columbia University. They laughed together in the crowd of Time Square.
"Why are you guys so long?" Alula grumbled when she saw her son and daughter-in-law had just arrived.
"Pity Emrick. My granddaughter is looking for you," Kai holds onto his favorite grandson so possessively. They all flew to New York to celebrate Rachel's graduation day.
"Sorry, Ma. We took a walk for a while" Rachel told her in-laws who loved her.
"It's okay. It's your happy day. Congratulations on graduating, baby!" Alula congratulates and kisses the cheek of the daughter-in-law whom she considers her own.
"Thank you, Ma. Mommy's son," Rachel focuses her attention on Emrick who is being held by Kai. Rachel took Emrick from her father-in-law's arms.
"Where have you been, Mommy?" Emrick asked with his adorable face. The little boy seemed to puckered his lips.
"Mommy's got a big deal going on" Rachel kissed her son's round cheek.
"Here, baby!" it was Jasper's turn to take Emrick out of his wife's arms.
"Papa, why is Mama's outfit like that?" The four-year-old pointed to the Columbia university pride dress that Rachel was wearing.
"Because it's your Mama's important day. From today Mama's gonna have 24 hours for Emrick."
"Really, Pa? Hurrah!" Emrick shouted in excitement. Everyone there laughed at the boy who had a face of fusion between Jasper and Rachel.
"Yes, honey. Emrick won't be coming to Papa's meeting anymore" Rachel ruffled her son's hair in a frenzy.
"Then let's have dinner together!" Take Kai to his whole family.
"Where, Kim?" Jasper looks for the existence of his sister who has now grown into a mature woman.
"She ran away again when Mama was going to set her up," Alula replied as she tidied up the napkin her family would wear.
"Mama forced him too much. Just leave him!" Jasper gave me advice.
"Mama's just trying to introduce Kim to some guy."
"Stop, Ma! Let Kim find his own way!" Jasper advised his mother gently.
"Mom think again. Let's eat together!" Alula sat in the dining chair as everyone sat down to prepare for the special dinner tonight.
They chatted warmly and chatted about their experiences.
