Letter to Atlanta

Letter to Atlanta
11. Memory

Unexpectedly, that afternoon the sky suddenly turned cloudy. Grayish-colored clouds devoured the sunlight that was shining this afternoon in the city of Bandung so scorching.

After waving goodbye to each other, Elisa and Atlanta go home with different goals. Atlanta, who was going west, pedaled her bike to work immediately at a restaurant not far from school. And Elisha who was still waiting for his brother—Joni, came to pick him up, the girl was waiting in front of the already deserted school gate.

Several times the girl with long straight hair glanced at her watch wrapped around her left wrist, stepping her legs to the right and left side alternately. Twenty minutes had passed, but the man with the status of his brother had not yet given any sign of his arrival. Unlike usual, is Joni stuck in traffic?

The girl breathed heavily for the first time, reaching into the smartphone in the uniform pocket to call Joni, Elisa looked for her brother's contact number which she accidentally emoji the cat there. Elisa brought the smartphone closer to her ear when the call was connected.

There was still no response whatsoever, even when the girl repeatedly tried to press the green button to start the call again. Feeling pointless, Elisa again pocketed her smartphone, turned her head up, looked at the increasingly blackened sky, and she was sure it would soon rain. But what's his fate? Does he have to wait for Joni who knows when will come to pick him up.

Without thinking, Elisha moved his legs, walking towards the sidewalk intending to find public transport. Elisha did not want to be exposed to rain, he did not like it, especially his body would be directly uprooted when cold water spilled from the sky flushed him. However, the girl was not careful, and did not realize when there was a red sports bike driving at an above average speed.

Tin!

Bruk!

Elisha fell, fell on the asphalt. The driver of the motorcycle also fell due to an impromptu brake, trying to avoid a collision that may be uncontrolled. He immediately moved, confirmed the position of the motorbike lying down, removed the full face helmet worn, then ran over to a girl who was now sitting holding wounds on several parts of her body while grimacing.

The man crouched down, a worried look adorning his handsome face. "You, gapapa, right?" said it.

"What how?! Scuffed gini masa spelled out gapapa anyway! Can you drive a motorbike?!" the girl said without taking her eyes off the wound on her knee.

The man in front was silent for a moment. It was obvious that the girl did not turn her head right and left to ascertain whether there was a rider passing by or not, but she also could not blame the girl in front of her, as she herself was driving at such a fast speed.

"Let me help, yes," said the man, starting to carry Elisha's body, hooking Elisha's arm around his shoulder, and carrying him to the front of the minimarket near the school a few meters away.

Elisha did not refuse, with a slightly limp step, he walked where the man would take him. Is today his unlucky day? After previously he dealt with a person named Theo, a powerful man who managed to drain the patience of the soul and body, and now he has to accept a motorbike that is enough to make some parts of his body injured.

The man sat Elisha in one of the front seats of the minimarket shaded by a large umbrella with great care, afraid that the girl would roar in pain if the wound there got any movement.

"Wait," said the tall man, he slightly ran into the minimarket. While Elisha was still faithfully fanning and blowing his own wounds to reduce the pain that did not subside.

"Bang Joni where the hell, until the rain just hasn't come, too," said Elisa monologue while continuing to look at the rain.

"Here, let me take medicine" said the man who was now sitting beside Elisha. The girl turned her head, and said nothing, only to see the man's activities keeping some medicine on the table.

He began pouring mineral water onto the cotton surface, taking over Elisha's hand, wiping the blood that was still attached and almost dried there. The man slowly cleaned the wound on Elisha's arm, then the two girls' knees. After he finished, he opened the sealed red medicine, dripping the medicine in Elisha's wound with great care.

Elisha grimacing. "Shhh! It hurts! Slow down dong!" he said when he felt the sensation of pain that began to twitch in the area of his blisters.

But the man did not respond to Elisha's ringing or stop his activities, he only focused on treating Elisha's wounds painstakingly, although several times the girl asked him to stop. Until he finished putting a small bandage on Elisha's arm and knee, he said, "Well done, don't hurt?"

Now Elisha frowned, how could the man say it was okay after before Elisha always grimaced with pain and pain when he treated Elisha. Elisha's eyes turned toward the wound that had been on the male bandage, even the bandage that was now attached to his arms and knees seemed to blend neatly, indicating that the man was serious in treating Elisha.

In the next instant, Elisha turned his gaze to look at the man beside him who was cleaning up the medicine, putting it into a white crackle bag, and, then throw some plastic snags into the small trash cans available there. His forehead shriveled, watching the man's seemingly familiar face.

A chunk of childhood memory just comes to mind. Elisha thought hard about the picture of his childhood first, with a sweet boy who he always jahili.

"Huuu! You crybaby, that's howling. Wles."

"Elisa wicked. Jay said to me, Jay doesn't want to play with Elisa anymore. Huaya."

Elisha blinked twice as the memories of the playground turned back, as he deliberately pushed the boy to the ground in the grasses surrounding the park. Both corners of Elisha's lips were raised, forming an arch.

"Jay?" said Elisa. He stared meaningfully at the man at the side. I don't know what Elisha felt at the time. Clearly, he was like rediscovering something that was quite meaningful and had once been lost in his life.

The man turned his head as Elisha spoke his name. He looked at Elisha with a questioning look. For a moment, the man only looked at Elisha's face, looking at the beautiful girl who was returning her eyes with haru.

Not long after, he smiled, showing off the dimple on both cheeks. Oh my God, is this fate, or is it just a coincidence?

"Elisha? You're Elisa, right?"
