With a quick step, Theo carried the unconscious Elisha. That of course makes many pairs of eyes look full of question marks with a man who was panicking carrying a girl. He continued to explore each corridor up the school hallway to arrive at the parking lot.
But his steps stopped when a man stood with a face look no less panicked with Theo.
"What hell! Watch out! Did you see Elisha faint?!"
The man moved his hand quickly which he probably knew Theo would not understand sign language.
"Elisa why?"
"Lo said what the hell mute! I don't understand! Watch out!"
"I'm coming along."
Theo rotated his eyeballs, staring at Atlanta with a careless look.
"Flame! You wanna come?" Atlanta nodded her head. "Yes, come on! Help me!"
Both of them returned to the parking lot where Theo's car was parked, fortunately today he brought the car when the motorcycle was in repair.
"Open!"
Atlanta immediately opened the car door behind the wheel. With great care, the stern-faced man turned Elisha there, and Atlanta turned to hold Elisha's head on her thigh.
Theo starts driving his car outside the school at a moderate pace, taking the girl to the nearest hospital from the school. Back there, Atlanta was still looking at Elisha's pale face. He rubbed the dripping sweat on the girl's forehead with his slightly shaking hand, then clasped Elisha's cold hand in hopes that the girl would be fine.
What happened to Elisha? His heart also felt pain with the state of Elisha like this. He doesn't care if he has to skip school today, the most important thing now is Elisha.
Arriving in front of the hospital, Theo again took over Elisha to take him. He ran as hard as he could into the hospital lobby.
"Suster! Help me!"
Some nurses who saw the students carrying the unconscious girl immediately took the gurney available there. The originally silent hallway is now decorated with the clattering of people's steps and the noise coming from the wheel of the gurney being pushed.
Up there Elisa is still unconscious, the medical team continues to pump the oxygen bag attached to cover the mouth until the girl's nose, they take her to the ER room.
"You guys wait here. Let us handle it" said a nurse at the ER's opaque glass door, detaining two men who wanted to come inside.
The two can only respond to the words of the sister. Theo then rubbed his face rough because of frustration, his heart really pounded very fast at that time. Not much different from Theo, Atlanta is equally panicked when the girl has to enter the ER.
Atlanta continued to catch her irregular breath, nibbling at her hooves. He turned to land his butt in the long iron chair in front of the ER room, staring at the door in front with great anxiety.
"This is all because of Nadin," said Theo monologue. It practically made Atlanta turn her head, and showed Theo resuscitating his back beside the ER door while closing his eyes, raising his head up.
The man knitted both eyebrows at Theo's words.
"Gue can't take this."
Theo reached into his cell phone in his pants pocket, typing something in there. Seen the man clenched his jaw, clearly he was holding back the anger in his chest. Atlanta, on the other hand, still guessed what Nadin had done to Elisa. Although he did not know anything, certainly Theo was planning something for Nadin, and Atlanta knew Theo would never mess around or look at his actions.
The man moved on, intending to give advice even though he believed Theo would deny his input.
Kriiett
Just after Atlanta stood in front of Theo, the glass door of the ER room opened, revealing a man in white suit coming out of it.
"Where are you, Doc?!"
The man let out a slow breath, smiling faintly towards Atlanta and Theo.
"Alhamdulillah, the patient so far is fine. But I suggest for today he should be treated here so that we can monitor the patient's progress."
Both of them can now breathe a sigh of relief, at least nothing to worry about.
"But I need to talk about the patient's condition to his family members."
"S—my guardian, Doc. It just so happened that Elisa was my close relative. The doctor just spoke to me."
"Okay, then you come into my room. After this the patient will be transferred to the hospital room."
The doctor there walked first, just as Theo was about to catch up, the sound of a phone call was heard. He picked up the phone.
"Hallo."
"...."
"Okay, I'm going to school now."
After saying that, Theo chose to turn to Atlanta who was still silent, he patted Atlanta's shoulder.
"Gue has business. I ask you to help me, while I'm gone, take care of Elisha. And you take me to the doctor's office, whatever the doctor says, you tell me later."
Atlanta just nodded slowly, even Theo who began to turn around while walking quickly away from the hallway of the ER. The man sighed, following the Doctor who had slightly moved away from the reach of his eyes towards the study.
"Well, isn't that the guy who talked to me?"
"I'm sorry, but my friend has a sudden need. Can I replace him?"
For a while the doctor seemed to think, before finally nodding to agree with Atlanta's request.
"Well, no problem. Please sit down."
Atlanta turned to sit in a chair facing the Doctor. Waiting for the man to say something that had managed to make him stricken with curiosity and anxiety.
"Look, actually the patient had come to this hospital to check his condition. I'm the one who takes care of the patient." He paused his words, took a breath. "I think the patient's illness has gotten worse since the last time he checked himself out."
A disease? Does Elisa have a disease?
Atlanta re-typed the question sentence on her phone.
"I mean Doctor?"
"You don't know if the patient is sick?" The man rounded his eyes when he found out that Atlanta did not know about the illness suffered by Elisa.
The man shook his head slowly, practically the Doctor there turned to heavy breathing.
"God ... So look, the patient is actually suffering from stage 4 kidney failure. I've said not to consume other drugs other than the drugs I give, but it turns out patients often consume drugs that are classified as hard, even to date."
Atlanta choked, her face water changed, she hoped the Doctor's words were a mistake. Elisha could not be sick, all this time the girl always looked fine.
"I've asked patients to tell their parents to immediately find the best way to cure the patient. But he didn't seem to say that to anyone. Especially in addition to excessive stress, will make the patient's condition more weakened as it is today."
Not playing, Atlanta was really surprised by the words of the Doctor in front of her. His chest contents were racing back very quickly. Has Elisha covered all of this? Even his own parents?
"Can Elisha be healed?"
The doctor there again passed a slow breath, staring at the glassy Atlanta eye bead.
"certainly could. Provided there is approval from the patient's family, I will immediately follow up on treatment for the patient."
It took quite a lot of time to just chat with the Doctor, Atlanta really a lot of questions about whatever comes to mind about the disease suffered by Elisa so far. Really, he doesn't know what to do. Atlanta doesn't want to lose Elisa.
The man walked out of the Doctor's room with shaky steps, as if all his energy was drained after hearing a bitter statement. He went to Elisha's room not far from the doctor's office. Entering the secluded room that seemed very quiet, there were only a handful of people hospitalized there.
Atlanta opened the green curtain, and showed Elisha sitting on the ward, watching his hand on the drip.
Elisha looked up when he heard someone open the curtain, and the girl smiled.
"Atlanta's? How come you're here?"
He stood beside Elisha, his hand rubbing the girl's hair softly.
Still with a smile on his thin lips he said, "Hmmm .. Thanks, you helped me."
Atlanta just nodded, displaying her smile to Elisha. He still could not believe the doctor's words. The girl is sick.
"Why didn't you say."
"say what? I'm gapapa really, you don't have to worry about that," he said chuckling.
Atlanta breathed. See, how the girl always tries to look good, even that smile always manages to cover all the pain she feels. Did the girl never think that she was so worried? Why all this time he was easily fooled by the wide smile of Elisha, and the fierce nature of the girl.
"Why didn't you tell me you were sick?"
"Atlanta .. I'm fine, I'm not sick. I'm just a ketchup, you—"
"I know everything, Elisha. The doctor said you had kidney disease."
Understanding what Atlanta revealed, Elisa was silent, she was unable to wrinkle, her mouth like locked tightly. Only a nanar gaze and a single tear shot out from the fertilizer answered everything.
"Why didn't you say it?"
Elisha was still silent, now the frail shoulder of the girl began to tremble, and the clear water flooded his cheeks.
"Why? Why didn't you say?"
Atlanta grabbed Elisha's shoulder that was getting up and down, his gaze never missed seeing the sad face of Elisha who was trying to hold back the roaring cry out of his mouth.
"Elisa, never feel alone. I'm here for you. Whatever your problem, my shoulder will be happy to be the place to spill the pain you feel."
Elisha stared at Atlanta's clear obsidian priesthood. The tears are getting bigger. As hard as he tried to hold back the cry, it seems that the girl was no longer able to bear the burden that he had been carrying alone.
Elisha immediately hugged the man with a bitter cry. Atlanta could feel the pain of how Elisha spilled all the trials of life on his shoulder. He returned the girl's embrace with tears that began to break.
"I'm afraid .. I'm afraid Mama, Bang Joni, Bang Yunaka is sad if m—they know my true circumstances."
"I don't want to see Mama cry, Ta .. I don't want to."
Atlanta rubbed the top of Elisha's head, still letting the girl vent out her heart. However, deep down, Atlanta was equally afraid, she was very scared. He was afraid of losing Elisha, it was enough for him to lose the figure of Mother, he did not want to lose the person he loved the most for the second time.
