At a glance, information related to this school of conduct, needs to be conveyed so that the depiction can be more imagined easily.
Located in the Manglayang valley, the school which is more often called the Kesatrian (because it is considered to be more sacred) is printing candidates for future leaders of the nation in the field of government.
When viewed from the satellite it will look like a Knight-shaped image Pen. The 280-hectare patriotism has indeed been designed in such a way, describing the weapon of a leader in charge, which is a pen (write tool) in the sense, that is, through wisdom and courage to make every decision that needs to be taken intelligently, in solving every problem faced.
Referring to the present condition, where the enemy of our nation who no longer colonizes physically, using rifles and so on, but with economic shackles, diplomatic pressure, moral undermining, and so on, culture and lifestyle that no longer fit our ideology.
So the pen philosophy here means, that the main task of Praja is to learn, and, demanding the highest knowledge about the various needs of the state both in the present and in the future by learning from what happened in the past.
The prayer of Abdi Praja Dharma Satia Nagara Bhakti (which means briefly and impliedly dedicated, is, namely dedicating all the body to serve the tasks given by the state for the community) in the framework of Bhineka Nara Eka Bhakti (“Although different but still one devotion", very noble ideals, is a representation of the purpose of the establishment of this School of Sinazage by the first president of Indonesia, namely bpk Ir. Sukarno on 17 March 1956 in Malang, East Java).
Students/students in this school of discipline are called Praja, with a period of 4 years of education, consisting of 4 grade levels, starting from:
Muda Praja (Level I), after passing the base period for ± 3 months with the title Candidate Praja/Capra, then they will be confirmed as Muda Praja and appointed as CPNS, who after following the Prejobatan Training for ± 1 month was appointed again to become PNS Group II/a. Muda Praja is an initial level or a new entry into the education level. The education system received by Muda Praja is planting, meaning that at this stage it will be strengthened internalization of a mindset/indoctrination of the value of good and true government life.
Madya Praja (second year), is a second-level government. From the meaning of Madya which means middle, then in this stage of Madya the Praja have got an increase that is more emphasized to learning and training.
Nindya Praja (third year), is a third level government. Nindya has a flawless meaning which means that at this stage of Nindya the government is expected to be able to apply their knowledge. So what has been obtained when becoming Young and Madya in everyday life in the IPDN campus must be practiced in his life.
Wasana Praja (Level IV), is the final stage of the class. Wasana has an adult meaning which means at this stage wasana the king is expected to be a whole human being. It is a mature human who can apply what has been obtained when becoming Muda Praja, Madya Praja and Nindya Praja.
Furthermore, there is the embedding of status as Purna Praja, which is also the last stage of the status of the rank in the world of this official school. Purna Praja or also known as alumni of Praja PPEDN/STPDN/IPDN.
In this stage, a Purna Praja is expected to devote himself to the wider society. Purna Praja is symbolized as a perfect human figure, who can keep his own name and alma mater.
Purna Praja also has an identity like Praja, but not in the form of Evolet Rank as when studying at the knight, but a badge Purna Praja (shaped pin and ring Purna Praja).
This eight-sided pin is motivated by the ancient leadership philosophy of asta brata. Asta brata is the eight main teachings on leadership that are the instructions of Sri Rama to Bharata (his brother) who will be crowned king of Ayodhya. Astha Brata contains eight traits that should be owned by a leader, especially a Head of State, State Service and Community Service, namely:
Indra Brata is the nature of a leader (king) who can provide material pleasure (prosperity or prosperity) for those he leads.
Yama Brata is the nature of a leader who can enforce truth and justice against his subordinates, by punishing those who wronged in accordance with the mistakes he did.
Surya Brata is the nature of a leader who can provide thorough and equitable lighting to all his subordinates, and not in a hurry to make decisions.
Candra Brata is the nature of a leader who must be able to face calm, radiant and cheerful, so as to cool and give satisfaction to the people. The god Candra is a moon god that is a symbol of coolness.
Bayu Brata is the nature of a leader who in receiving data or reports should investigate the truth first.
Kuwera Brata is the nature of a leader who must be frugal and careful in using state finances and must also be neat, both in dressing, speaking, and acting.
Baruna Brata is the nature of a leader who must try hard with all his abilities to save his subordinates from all things that interfere with comfort, and is knowledgeable so as to solve all problems.

At each level of the government, there are about 900 to 1,000 people who come from all corners of Indonesia. The average ratio of male to female is 5:1 (five to one). So, how do you imagine the competition of male kings to win the heart of their female kings?

Life in this school can also be considered as Indonesian life on a mini scale, because the government has its own governing institution.
Praja live dormitory (commonly called homestead, shaped like a barracks). The names of Wisma in the ksatrian are the names of Provinces in Indonesia, such as Wisma Central Kalimantan/Kalteng, Wisma DKI Jakarta and others.
Each guesthouse consists of 2 floors (Upper House and Lower House), each guesthouse consists of 5 squares (plots A, B, D and E, respectively, each contains 10 king beds facing 5-5 to be occupied by 10 princes, while silver C is inhabited by 4 guesthouse managers and a room togetherness/TV viewing area).
So in 1 guesthouse it is usually inhabited by 88 people (44 princes in the Upper House and 44 other princes in the Lower House).
As part of the living facility, at each guesthouse (top and bottom) there are also 20 toilets and 20 bathrooms respectively and 2 large study rooms (containing 20 study tables each) on the right and left sides of the guesthouse. There are also 2 prayer rooms (a kind of mushola) to use together.
In one guesthouse is usually randomized the placement of the government, there is an effort to be representative of the government of each province in Indonesia, so it is expected that there is cultural integrase, each government can understand the character, nature, character, character, the behavior and habits of indigenous bhakan that exist throughout Indonesia.
This Integration process is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, if only just acquaintance, everyone can certainly. But to get to the stage of mutual understanding, mutual help and mutual care, Ambeg Paramaarta (preceding the public interest above personal interests/groups) certainly requires a process and time that is not short.
So in the knights, always implanted Korsa (feelings of agreement) in order to occur unity of thought/understanding and a sense of mutual belonging among each other.
To provide practical training to develop leadership skills for Praja, compiled an Organization of the Praja Corps, called Wahana Wyata Praja is a student senate.
Wahana Wyata Praja has an Organizational Structure and Work Order that is tailored to the Regional/Regional Government Organization.
Officials of the Corps include: Governor of Praja (leader of the whole Praja), Regent of Praja (leader of each force, where each force is considered 1 regency, led by a Regent, (leader of each force, so in ksatrian there are 5 Regents - for Muda Regency, Madya Regency, Nindya Regency, Wasana Regency and Dwarawati Regency, which is a special district of children, whose citizens are female servants of all levels), and, Camat Praja (lead the king on 2 particular guesthouses) and the Head of Village/Lurah Praja (lead the king on a guesthouse floor), equipped with their respective secretariat.
There are also various Praja Activity Units (UKP) in the ksatrian, such as: Praja Police (Polpra), Honor Sign Troops (PATAKA), Gita Abdi Praja Drumkorps (drumband), Gita Puja Wyata Choir, among others, Equatorial Band, Karana Praja Muda Movement, Wapa Manggala (Wahana Praja Knows Society, Mountain and Nature, nature lovers' government), Abdi Praja News Magazine, Persada Theater, SAR, Sanggar Seni Praja, Indonesia, Informatics and Computers, some Sports clubs (such as: karate, satria archipelago, pencak silat, chess, basketball, shooting, tennis, badminton, etc.), etc, English Community Union (ECU) or English Conversation Club (ECC) and others.
The applied education system is semi-military and line-lined is everyday life. Personnel checks are carried out 3x a day, ie at the time:
- Apple morning (before breakfast, at 07.00 WIB) in Plaza square (there are 2 fields called plazas: Plaza Atas and Plaza Bawah),
apple lunches (usually after classroom learning and before lunch, at 12.00 WIB, are conducted in Plaza Atas, just in front of Menza/shared dining room), and
- Apples at night (before the night break, at 21.00 WIB, except on the day of the cruise, which is done shortly after the cruise hour runs out, located in Plaza Bawah).
This school consists of the best youth/driver representatives of each region in all corners of Indonesia, rigorously filtered (physically and psychologically) by their respective local governments, although it may also sometimes a lot of inserts "aggregation of interests" also in the selection process.
But we will not discuss this in detail for the sake of internal peace.
The teaching system consists of 3 main elements, namely:
- Academics (with face-to-face method in class, directed and received periodic assessment/evaluation from lecturers and teaching teams);
- Skills/skills (with training and simulation of events in the field, such as language skills, diplomacy, speech, debate/group discussions, gardening/breeding techniques, application of appropriate technology, such as tempeh making/ketchup and others, the whole of which is directly guided by experts in their respective fields and commonly called with the Coach and training team); and
- Personality (with the cultivation of life values, such as: the craft of worship, the application of the Rules of Internal Affairs/PUDD, neatness and cleanliness of the bed/study table/clothing closet/appearance, seniority system/respect for the more senior, the harmony of friends etc., is monitored continuously by the Caregivers and parenting team).
So each teacher will get Teaching, Training and Parenting grades periodically (monthly, quarterly and semester), with a drop-out system for those who cannot reach certain value limits.
Praja also can not arbitrarily go in/out of the knight. Praja is only allowed out of the ksatrian during cruise hours or with special permission.
The cruise time arrangement for the government also varies depending on the level of each, including:
- Young Praja \= on Saturday and Sunday, from 13.00-19.00 WIB;
- Madya Praja \= Saturday and Sunday, from 12.00-20.00 WIB;
- Nindya Praja \= Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 12.00-21.00 WIB (plus the opportunity of Overnight Permit/IB to be submitted a week before, a maximum of 2 x a month);
- Wasana Praja \= Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 12.00-22.00 WIB (plus the opportunity of Overnight Permit/IB to be submitted 2 days in advance, a maximum of 4 x a month).
