Chapters 14. Must Have to Separate.
The sky was so bright with the moonlight shining so bright, it was instantly dark in the cover of the black clouds. The universe seems to know the sorrow and suffering that Reza and Melda were going through that night. Melda was unceasingly crying in Reza's arms as she continued to speak.
"Well, is this your love for me? So that you don't do anything when there's another guy who's going to propose to me!" Melda spoke with a sober sobbing.
Hearing Melda's question, made Reza's chest feel more tight. Reza felt like he was hit by a heavy burden because of the question Melda asked him. It felt like he had disappeared from that place, because he could not give an answer that would add to Melda's disappointment in him. But no matter how bitter the reality, Reza was determined to explain it, because it was a reality that must be known and accepted by Melda.
"Mel, my love for you is as great as heaven and earth, who are watching us tonight. But all that is nothing, compared to what Mama Farel has done." Reza's words that made Melda immediately let go of her embrace, and looked at Reza with a look of confusion.
"What do you mean?" Melda asked with a figuring look towards Reza.
"Actually I had almost told about the relationship between the two of us to Om Fahri and Faris. But I haven't spoken yet, Om Fahri has said something, which makes me powerless to convey all that." Reza was speechless as she looked at Melda with such a fragile gaze.
"What are you talking about!" Melda asked with a confused look.
"The match between you and Farel actually happened on the day of your birth. When you were born, you almost died. And the one who saved your life at that time was Dr. Anita Mama Farel. And that's why both your parents gave you to Farel's parents, as a wife-to-be for their son." Reza explained everything he heard from Papa Fahri, without looking at Melda's face.
Melda's disappointment grew worse after hearing Reza's explanation. He does not feel disappointed with Reza, but rather the fate that makes him have to bond with a man, who he himself does not know who he is. With tears in her eyes, Melda grabbed Reza's collar while asking.
"Are you going to give up on all this?" Melda and Reza just nodded their heads.
Seeing the nod of Reza's head, Melda immediately gave up hope. He immediately turned his back on Reza and immediately cried bitterly, without being able to say anything. Seeing that Melda was suffering so much, Reza was getting hurt even more for the reality they had to accept. Lovingly, Reza hugged Melda from behind then said.
"Mel, I love you so much, and I also know you love me so much. But I don't want to, our love for both of you to be a bad boy to both of your dead parents." Reza spoke with teary eyes, clutching Melda from behind.
Hearing Reza's words, Melda increasingly cried unbearably. On the other hand he loves Reza very much and does not want to lose her, but on the other hand, he also does not want to betray the agreement of his parents with Farel's parents. Because it is true what Reza said, if he will be an ungodly child, if he does not follow what his parents have wanted .
Melda who had already bowed her head, could only cry speechlessly, and it made Reza who still kept hugging her back make a sound, trying to make her understand.
"Both of your parents can no longer ask you for anything, so you must accept what they agreed with Farel's parents, because that's all you can do as a sign of your devotion to your parents." Reza said with a trembling voice, as she had already shed tears.
Hearing Reza's trembling voice, Melda immediately turned to face him. Tears that had flowed soaked the face of the man he loved so much, making Melda very sure that Reza was also tormented with all the reality that happened.
"Mel, I can't lose you either! But I am helpless, because there is no choice for you in this matter. I want you to be happy because you did what your parents wanted." Reza's words that made Melda directly hug him while saying.
"Don't, I'm gonna be so tormented by this matchmaking, I just love you one." Said Melda with sobs that made Reza's heart very sore.
"I know you love me so much, but you should love your parents more! Because they are the ones you should love above everything else in this world." Reza said as she rubbed Melda's head which still continued to hug her.
"I plan to return to Malaysia as soon as possible, to work on the spot." Reza's words that made Melda instantly let go of her embrace, and looked at Reza with a sharp look.
"Why do you want to go back to Malaysia?" Melda asked with a tone that sounded very vibrating, the influence of shock was also crying since then.
"I couldn't see you with Farel, so I chose to go." Reza's words that made Melda's heart break into pieces, with tears that poured so swift.
"But I can't afford to part with you! I'd be so tormented if you were away from me." Melda said with tears in her eyes.
"Everything will be destroyed, with separation. Maybe for a while we haven't been able to forget each other, but one day you can definitely forget me, when you already love someone else." Reza's words as a grown man.
"But you're the only one I love! Hiks,,, hyx,, hyx," Melda said as she wept at Reza.
"Love can grow with togetherness. If Farel loves you, and treats you well, you will surely be able to forget me." Reza said as she rubbed Melda's head that was already speechless, lovingly.
"Get in before they find you! I don't want anyone to know about our relationship! Let our love be a secret forever, for this love will also eventually come to an end." Reza's words that made Melda again hugged him tightly while saying.
"I'm sorry I hurt you. I hope you can also be happy someday." Melda's words with an unwilling heart. And after that he immediately released his embrace from Reza, then stepped towards the mansion.
Such a great love between Reza and Melda, finally ended for the sake of filial piety to parents. Melda, who has never forgotten her parents' great affection for her, is forced to accept her marriage to Farel, and releases Reza to return to Malaysia.
Actually Melda does not want Reza to return to Malaysia, because she has not been able to part with him. But he also re-think, if he should not follow his desire for Reza to remain near him, because it will make them both suffer, especially Reza who was camped in silence.
With trembling footsteps, Melda stepped towards the door of the house while wiping away her tears. He did not want to turn around and look at Reza who was staring at him back there.
