Chapter 47. Decisions That Cannot Be Reformed.
The decision that has been taken by Faris, is fully supported by Alfa. But as a mother, Aleta felt it was very hard to release her only daughter, to a foreign country that was very free. Such great concern for her daughter, made Aleta finally choose to take one decision, which they had never talked about before.
"Mas, I'll support your decision, if that's what's best for our daughter. But I want you to accept what I want." Said Aleta who made the gaze of all who were there so focused on her.
"What do you want?" Ask Faris to his wife.
"Honestly I was very heavy to let Fara go to continue her studies in America. Because it's too free up there, let alone a girl." Aleta's words that made Fara feel relieved. But Faris, who had been unanimous in his decision, did not accept any reason. He is getting more and more unanimous with his decision.
"Aleta, all this for the good of Fara. There's Riyan, then, so he's not alone." Faris said with a serious look at Aleta.
"Yes, I don't mean to oppose your decision. I was just worried about Fara being there, living at home with Riyan without any official ties. It will be a fitnah." Said Aleta who immediately agreed with her two in-laws.
"Yes, if Mama doesn't want her to stay at home with Riyan, she can stay alone." Alfa tried to convince her mother.
"How do you want to go?" Faris asked his wife in a low tone of voice, feeling that the reason for his wife was right. And that's also what Papa Fahri, Mama Alira, Almira, and her husband are right next to her. They all justify Aleta's way of thinking.
"If possible, mending Fara and Riyan were married soon they were both together to America." Aleta's answer that made Fara who had been silent was immediately shocked and voiced.
"Ma... Is it not wrong to say rich? I'm only in the 4th semester, when do you want to get married? I don't know him yet, nor have I seen Mas Riyan." Fara immediately denied her mother's words. Then she stood up and ran towards the stairs with teary eyes.
Fara was so sad to hear what her mother had just said. He felt like his family did not want him, so he wanted to give up responsibility to the man, who he had been betrothed to since he was not born, who was none other than his own cousin.
Seeing the expressions of Fara, Aleta, Mama Alira, and Almira immediately felt sorry for him. The three women felt they could not bear to force Fara to get married immediately. Moreover, Fara was unable to do anything as a woman. Living in a wealthy family that all of them have done, making Fara never do anything in the house.
While Fara, who was already in her room, was crying over her fate that would be tied to a man she had never seen at all. During this time Fara never knew about the figure of Riyan even though only passing social media.
There was a curiosity in Melda's heart, with the figure of Riyan her future husband and cousin. But when he opened up all of Riyan's social media, as well as Om's and Tante's in Malaysia, he saw absolutely no other male photos besides Reza's. It turns out that Riyan really does not like his face in posts on social media, as well as his parents.
Riyan's nature is so strange. In this modern age, all circles are competing to post photos and their activities on various social media, especially people who come from conglomerate families like them. But he did not like it, even he also forbade his parents to post his picture on their social media.
Although seeing Fara was so saddened by the decision they had taken, not one bit made Faris' heart melt. Faris, who was so decisive in making one decision, immediately chose to call Melda, and said what had become his decision. And without waiting for long, Melda and Reza immediately agreed with pleasure.
Melda and Reza are so excited to hear the decision that has been taken by their families in Indonesia. Having one child makes them very lonely. Especially when Riyan went to America leaving them both in such a big house. And all this time their hope, just want to have a grandchild from their only child.
Finished talking about the marriage of Fara and Riyan which will be directly in the near future, Aleta immediately stepped into her daughter's room. Arriving at the door, Aleta's steps were suddenly restrained, when she saw her only daughter sitting on her bed with tears.
Realizing her Mama's whereabouts, Fara immediately wiped away her tears and whined, asking her Mama to cancel her wedding plans, which they had already taken without asking for her consent at all. But Aleta, who could not do what Fara asked her to do, sat down and hugged her daughter, trying to make her understand.
"Darling, you know your Papa's nature, right? He would never withdraw the words he had already put out. Sooner or later, you will definitely marry Riyan. It's free that you refuse it. You don't even know him yet, so you can't be sure what you're really feeling." Aleta said as she rubbed Fara's back.
"He's a very mysterious person Ma! How can I recognize him? his social media alone had none of his photos. And so does Om Reza and Aunt Melda." Ketus Fara who is still in the arms of his mother.
"Oooo, means you've already found out about him?" Aleta asked as she let go of her embrace, and looked at Melda with a figuring look.
"Am I wrong, Ma,,? Want to know about my husband?" Ask Fara with her pouting look.
"If you're still curious, Mama's got a photo of Riyan." Aleta said with a smile looking at her daughter who was pouting like a child.
"Mama lied, right? All of their social media I've seen, but there's no picture of her." Fara said with a look of disbelief.
Seeing her daughter who was so distrustful of her, Aleta immediately pointed her phone screen, towards Fara which made Fara instantly speechless a thousand languages.
"That's your future husband Riyan." Aleta said to her smiling daughter, staring at the picture of Riyan on her phone without making a sound.
