"Naura..! Stop testing my patience. I've been patient enough for these two years, to survive this marriage" Adam snapped with eyes glaring at Naura

"Actually who is patient enough here "Inner Naura feels a tightness in her heart

"I will never agree" Naura insisted on her decision

"I don't care, I've been taking care of our divorce papers. So with or without your consent, I'm going to keep divorcing you" Adam said

Amidst the debate between the two, the door to Naura's room which had been open was slammed again when Davikah who had been below faintly heard the quarrel of the two.

"Adam!" Adam's mother cried to Adam asking for an explanation of what he had just heard

"Mama!" Naura closed her mouth in shock

"Adam! Explain to Mama, your words just now. Divorce?" Davikah spoke in a sharp tone to his son

Adam just fell silent, while massaging his forehead that felt dizzy.

"Follow Mama.. " Say Davikah pulled her son out of the room

"Maa.. " Call Naura trying to follow

"Shut up in your room Naura. Mama will come talk to you later, so wait for Mama in the room after you talk to this stupid kid" Davikah said before pulling Adam's arm away from Naura's room

Naura could only sigh in resignation, then go back inside her room. He lay his body on the mattress with his back facing the ceiling of his room.

Meanwhile, Davikah takes Adam into Adam's room. Davikah sat on the chair, while Adam sat down on the bed, not daring to look at his mother who was currently angry.

"Are you crazy? Didn't Mama tell you to stop connecting with that girl, she doesn't deserve you at all"

"But I love her Ma and I have absolutely no feelings for Naura. So what else is this marriage going to do?"

"The woman does not deserve to be loved at all, do you not see her?"

"What makes you guys hate Clara so much? Every time I ask for an excuse, you always keep quiet and just ask me to love Naura. I really don't understand your way of thinking"

"If you're curious, do it yourself. Find out why we behave this way. Mama's not someone so cruel as to get in the way of your feelings, but if it was for Clara, Mama would never agree"

"So stop thinking about the divorce, you should know what your grandfather would do if it happened"

Adam clucked in annoyance at his mother's words. After all, the main reason Adam accepted the marriage was because of the threat from his Grandfather who would remove him as the heir to this family.

After reminding his son of the threat his grandfather used to pose, Davikah finally got up from his seat.

Before exiting the door, Davikah came to a standstill, turning to his frustrated son.

"Think carefully of what Mom said. Because after all, you should feel grateful for the life given to you" Davikah said so grateful

Adam frowned confused at the words of his mother just now that felt like a gesture.

"Given me?" Adam muttered constantly thinking about those words, between the words his mother had said earlier

Davikah who left Adam's room, now put a look of disappointment on his son. He wanted to explain everything, but his lips felt weak every time he remembered the events in the past.

Feelings of guilt and pity for Naura's married life with her son, increasingly increasing. He witnessed Adam's harsh treatment of Naura.

With teary eyes holding back tears, Davikah knocked on Naura's bedroom door before opening it.

"Naura, are you asleep?" Davikah asked as he went inside to Naura who was lying down

"Mama's here.." Naura opened her eyes when she heard her mother-in-law's voice

"What about Adam Ma?" Naura asked curiously at the outcome of the two's conversation

"You don't have to worry. Divorce will not happen. After all, you are the only son-in-law this family recognizes" Davikah calmed Naura down as she clasped her hand in confidence

"Thank You Ma.. " Said Naura feeling grateful because even though the treatment was so harsh towards her, she was still able to receive affection from this family

"No Naura.. It should be Mama who apologized" Davikah said involuntarily shed tears as she stared at the smile on Naura's face that looked so sincere

"Mama why? Mama's okay?" Naura asked a little panicked

"Mama's sorry Naura. Even when Mama knew all of Adam's actions, Mama could only remain silent without being able to do anything" Davikah said sobbing

"I'm fine Ma. So Mama doesn't have to worry" Naura said, hugging her mother-in-law's body trying to calm her down

"But not with me Naura, I owe you a lot" Davikah said in her heart

A warm embrace that should calm him, it makes Davikah's heart feel tight and bitter. Despite being wrapped in cloth, Davikah could clearly feel Naura's thin body embracing her body.

"I'm sorry, Diandra" Davikah said in his heart before burying his face on Naura's shoulder trying to hold back the tears that could break at any time

Meanwhile, Naura could only pat her mother-in-law's back even though she didn't quite understand the real reason for the tears.

William, who had just arrived after driving Naura home, was lying on the living room couch, repeatedly deleting the message he was supposed to send to Naura but stopped because he was confused about what to say to her.

He stared at the words "You okay?" On the screen of his phone, only one last step left is to press the send button.

"This is just because I'm worried, there shouldn't be any problem if I ask" William muttered

But a few seconds later, he again ruffled his hair irritated because he could not press the send button.

Until then, from the back of Naufal who had just arrived home and found William who was so frustrated in the living room. He then approached silently and glanced at his phone screen.

A sly smile was instantly etched on Naufal's face, then quickly pressed the send button before his sister realized his arrival.

"Ohh Sh***.. " Umpat William immediately sat staring at his brother sharply

"Did you just curse me? There's no harm in asking, anyway, so what makes you so frustrated with a message"

"What does Brother know.. "

"I don't know anything about him. But at least I'm smarter than you"

"I'm sure they're fighting right now. That's why you should take more initiative to approach it"
