Loved Bunian Wolves
11. Blood Transfusion

"Sorry, Miss Runi. This little dog is very weak. He lost blood and his life expectancy was very small" said the general practitioner who handled the dog regretfully.

"Geez, what a pity, Doctor Sir!" Runi sighed softly. He glanced at the little dog lying on a small table covered with a pile of cloth and a heart-red pearl. The dog was lying there, completely helpless. The arrow has been removed and now Runi stored in his bag. The arrow left a gaping hole right in the dog's chest. Although it has been sewn and wrapped in bandages, but fresh blood still seeps there.

That little body looks so limp. Let alone blinking eyes that look dim. Even the round eyes with red glows that had been opened were now completely closed. So, how could Runi just let it go?

Runi asked, "Can it be transfused, Doc? I'm willing to give my blood to him."

"Huh, blood transfusion?" The doctor that Runi knew named Ditya frowned.

Runi nodded. He felt he no longer knew what to do to help the little dog to survive.

"It seems like it can't, Runi. Humans can only perform blood transfusions with fellow humans. They have the same blood type or rhesus. If there is a difference between the two things, blood transfusions carried out between humans alone will not work. Especially if it's an animal?" obviously Doctor Ditya slowly.

He continued, "In the human body there are white blood cells that function to protect the body from various diseases. These white blood cells produce antibodies that can combat the allergens that come in our bodies. And animals, don't have the same arrangement of cells as blood cells in the human body."

"Oh, so can't Doc? So how's dong? Does this dog want to be left alone?" Runi returned to sting agitatedly. He glanced sadly at the body of this little dog, which now looked so pitiful. Fortunately, Doctor Ditya had already closed and cleaned some of his open wounds. The young doctor also placed an infusion on one of the dog's front legs to feed him.

"Try later I ask Warno, keeper of the puskesmas to contact some residents who have a pet dog. Who knows, there are dogs that have the same blood type as this dog. That's the only way I can help this dog" Ditya said. Seeing Runi who looked desperate, at least he was not too resigned without giving a solution.

"Ah, yes. Thanks a lot, Doc." Runi just sighed resignedly receiving the option from Doctor Ditya, which he thought was the best option he could accept right now. "Please try your best, okay? I'd like to pay whatever it takes if he survives, Doc!"

"Haha. Of course, Runi. What is important is that Warno and I work first. You calm down here first," replied Doctor Ditya, looking at Runi with sympathy.

The moon never changes. The girl he had only known for a year since living in this village did indeed have a soft heart. This girl had even come to the health center for helping a bird that had broken its wings as a result of being shot by poachers. How happy is the man who can captivate the heart of Runi. A loving girl like her would definitely treat her lover or husband so gently.

"Yes already. I was in charge of handling the other patients, Runi. Wait here. I will also ask Warno to find the dogs that live here. Who knows can help your dog this," said Doctor Ditya.

"Just thank you very much, Doc!" said Runi girang.

As it passed, Doctor Ditya smiled. "Together, Runi!" sincerely.

Runi turned back towards her little dog. He let out a long sigh when he did not see any movement from this tiny body. Ah, it feels like Runi is getting frustrated!

"Hey, little dog! The doctor again gives you blood. Spirit, huh? After this, heal quickly, then go back to your master," said Runi by gently stroking the dog's fine fur on the face.

Doctor Ditya kept his promise. Warno, the keeper of the puskesmas came with a result. He went back and forth here and brought about five different breeds of dogs to the puskesmas. Of course, the arrival of the dogs was a hope for Runi.

"No blood matches your dog, Runi!" said Doctor Ditya while clucking in wonder.

The heart of Runi. His glazed net glanced at the dog that he had already considered his. In a state of still lying down and curled on a table that was given a pile of cloth and coated with a small pearl on the top. It is quite comfortable, at least for the size of a dog. But until now, the dog was still motionless.

"Doctor," called Runi softly to Doctor Ditya who was still not moving from her side.

"Yes, Runi? What's up?"

"Because those five dogs can't give blood to my dog, then try it with my blood, Doc. I beg!"

"Heheh! How could it be!" Doctor Ditya chuckled softly. He continued, "That procedure is impossible because your blood is different, Runi!"

"What's important is, at least we tried, Doc!" kekeh Runi's.

Doctor Ditya shrugged his shoulders in doubt. He again accompanied the proposal of Runi. "It's free that the transfusion was done, because the structure of the blood of animals and humans was very different!"

"But we haven't tried yet, have we?" again, Runi forced.

Doctor Ditya again knitted his eyebrows. He almost refused, but could not bear to Runi who looks clear.

"Come on dong, Doc? Please?!" pinta Runi with a little force. If usually he does not like to be forced, but somehow now he feels in a position to force someone.

"But it's impossible to succeed, Runi!" Ditya's doctor shook his head later, because he could not understand the crazy idea bin nyeleneh had just thrown.

"At least we tried, Doc. I don't know what the result is, I won't be curious anymore!" pinta Runi.

"Hadeh," Doctor Ditya rolled his eyeballs off guard.

He clucked angrily at this stubborn girl, for demanding her to do something beyond logic. But as a doctor, he knew with certainty that medically, the procedure could not be successfully done. And all this time he was abstaining from doing the impossible and was beyond human reason.

But how else? This stubborn girl in front of him was actually pleading with him by putting on a clear face.

"Okey Runi, okay." He was able to take a long breath. "Usually I would never want to grant any strange request from a patient. Especially if it's beyond logic like this. But for you, yeah okay."

"Thank you?" The two Netra Runi patterned with a beautiful twinkle of hope. He said with a sigh, "Thank you very much, Doc!"
