Loved Bunian Wolves
31. A Shadow of Popo

Merbayu Village, Seruni Tailor House, in the afternoon.

Runi had taken the pregnancy vitamins she got from the health center this morning. She read her pregnancy book many times. The handwriting of Midwife Atun which only consists of a few lines as if there is no boredom Runi read. Even he could subconsciously singleness his big smile, so could not hide his happiness.

"Ah, Mas Raka! He should know!" Runi screeched with spirit. He just realized that there should be other parties who celebrate this happiness. Raka, her husband. Well, even though in the space of almost two weeks Raka looks turned to be so cold to her, but maybe once heard the news about Runi's pregnancy, Raka can return to being warm like before.

However, Runi was also at inner war. He is confused between telling Raka right now through a written message, or later when Raka comes home. Because, telling stories in person will be much more fun than just through a written message. Speaking directly, Runi can see the expression of her husband's face clearly, happy or not, and surprised or not.

Yeah, it's gonna be tonight!

But a few minutes passed, Runi again felt restless. She was very impatient to give this good news to her husband.

Runi grabbed her phone. He opened the message feature and then typed a few words with a movement that was so fast.

Runi: [Mas, will you go home soon?]

Shut up, no answer. Runi let out a long sigh, then he exhaled slowly. The trauma of being ignored by Raka for several days re-emerged in her mind. Again, even though this morning they had berc1nta with heat and each other's longing, but apparently Runi still felt so afraid if Raka would return to silence him.

Without despair, Runi re-wrote a message for her husband.

Runi: [Mas, I have a surprise for you. Please come home soon, okay? Don't overtime. I beg.]

Runi put her phone back down with disappointment because the message was not immediately answered or just opened by her husband. But he tries to be patient.

"Maybe Mas Raka is busy with his work," Inner Runi tried to calm down. "Yes, it's harvest time anyway. Naturally, if the sale of palm Pak Baskara is rapidly. Of course the financial team, including Raka, is having a busy time to record the book of profits from sales."

Runi opened her employment record. Ah, apparently twelve days passed since the arrival of Widuri here to sew a party dress that will be used as a maid brides at the wedding of Widuri's best friend. In accordance with the promise of Runi, the dress for Widuri and also a batik shirt with the same color tone was so before the deadline that Widuri requested.

Runi had ironed a single stel of Widuri's order couple and arranged it nicely and beautifully in a special plastic zip lock outfit. He put her in a paper bag with a picture of the heart, then he began preparing to leave for the house Widuri this afternoon as well.

Yes, after all, the middle Runi feels so saturated.in daily activities, Runi only struggled with sewing machines, fabrics, threads, buttons, and scissors. He found it rare to chat with humans except when the vegetable maker came to his house, or just greet the neighbors who passed in front of the house. His personality is so introverted that he rarely can blend with others.

However, it is different with Widuri. Since childhood they have often been together, especially when there is an inter-school race event. The quiet Runi persona is not easy to blend it is quite amused by the vivacious, cheerful, and cheerful Widuri persona. Widuri also, despite coming from family, never discriminate friends. The girl was always attached to the side of the Runi compared to other children.

While preparing his motorbike in the yard, as it has been, for a moment, Runi took the time to look for Popo to come and there. Too bad, since a few days ago Popo disappeared like swallowed by the earth.

At all times, Runi always hoped to find Popo who was either running from any end of his yard, then greeted him with an adorable little run. Or perhaps, he expected Popo to be in a corner of the terrace with his tail swaying to and fro, with ears standing upright, welcoming him enthusiastically.

Again, it's all just a shadow. Popo really disappeared without a trace. Well, even though Runi is quite entertained by the existence of Popo. Especially at this time Raka was really cold and indifferent to him. Raka rarely invites him to chat, and as Runi remembers, already since one week ago, Raka almost always comes home at night or even stays at the office. For ten days Raka never again asked for her right as husband and only this morning Raka touched her again.

Runi started to run his motor slowly. He must be extra careful in moving or driving, because at this time he has the figure of a tiny innocent creature who also lives on a ride of nutrients in his womb. The figure of a tiny baby that must still be so small. Maybe it is still as big as coffee.

"He's healthy, my son" Runi told her baby. One hand held the handlebar of the motor and one hand gently stroked his stomach.

Widuri's house is still in a few corners. Maybe a few minutes' drive away, he'll be there soon.

But not yet until, suddenly on the side of the road, Runi saw a grayish-white dog hiding behind a large tree branch. He then ran away behind the thick trees as soon as he heard the roar of the Runi motor coming closer. Yes, although it is still one village, but this Merbayu village is in the hilly area. One house with another house is far away. Runi not all know who his neighbors one by one, so vast this village.

Ah, is it true that the dog that was hiding behind a tree and running around as hard as he could in his view was Popo, the dog that fell into the precarious of his house and was injured by a severe arrow wound?

Runi stopped the speed of his motorbike at the edge of the village road. He had stepped his feet a few meters to ascertain whether the dog he had just seen was Popo. However, apparently the dog had already disappeared from view as soon as Runi got off his motorbike.

Ah, yes already. Maybe it wasn't Popo, it was another dog. Because if it is Popo, usually Popo will soon pass into the arms of Runi and swiping her fine fur there, making Runi feel amused at once warm.

"A, Popo. Where are you now?" tanya Runi was full of loss.
