Maple High School Academy Year 1
Journey to Nightshade - Talk to Fallen Angel

Talk to Fallen Angel's

THE NEXT INCIDENT WAS NOT much Elle noticed. Which he was when Adniel suddenly knelt down and his neck looked up with both hands drawn backwards.

The teenage boy shouted indistinctly, while Samael cast several spells that Elle could not understand. Miss Grewyinn took out a cork-covered tube from inside her bag. The Elf woman placed it right at the top of the star.

After a few minutes, Adniel was seen convulsing. Elle closed her eyes, unable to see Adniel in pain. He had opened his eyes only in line, Elle saw there was black smoke coming out of Adniel's back which went directly into the tube placed Miss Grewyinn. The girl closed the matan when Adniel vomited.

The blackish blob seemed to be spewed out several times by the honey-brown teenage boy. After that, he fell unconscious.

"Miss Thompson." Elle opened her eyes hearing the call. He looked at the two teachers who were watching him.

"You okay?" ask Miss Grewyinn while approaching her.

Elle nodded. He immediately tidied himself up. "What about Adniel? What the hell is going on?" Elle immediately asked a question that had been plaguing her feelings ever since.

Just now Miss Grewyinn was about to reply, Mr. Samael said, "We can tell you that later, all we have to do now is hurry back to the Academy. And we have to take him in such a state." The man with the messy sideburns pointed at Adniel with his hands.

"Can't you—” Miss Grewyinn seemed to hint at the word carrying with her eyes.

Mr. Samael snorted small. "No. No. No. Anyway I'm not asking you to do it either."

The two teachers gasped nonchalantly so continued their unimportant debate when they heard the sound of footsteps. However, Elle just calmly approached towards the sound. From the direction of the sound there was a gleam like a jewel in the darkness from the direction of the dead trees. Over time it forms a silhouette. A figure of a creature walked over gracefully.

Elle crouched down, then the figure began to look clear. A male puma. He closed in on the girl and snorted right in front of her face.

Elle chuckled then growled a little. Can you help us? I've known you followed us since the beginning of the journey.

The puma tilted her head while still staring at Elle. Helping like what?

Elle smiled, then scratched the big cat's lower jaw. Can you carry my friend on your back and get him to the Academy?

Puma was snorting again.  You equate me with a mule, huh?

Elle shook her head quickly. Oh, of course not. It's just that now I can only ask a little help from you. Please!

The puma growled once which was immediately interpreted as agreeing by Elle. He stood up and looked at the two teachers.

"We can take Adniel by using this puma." Elle's hand was nudged by the muzzle of the puma. "Oh, I mean, this puma's willing to help us get Adniel."

Mr. Samael and Miss Grewyinn looked at each other, then both of them sniffed shoulders. They agreed that it could be the best option.

After moving Adniel to the back of the puma, Mr. Samael decided to go home with them and not fly with his usual wings. He walked behind the puma with Elleanor. Elleanor also does not carry a flyboard because if worn at night it is very dangerous.

The journey home was no longer than when we left. Cover Hills just feel like a rugby field.

"Err ... Mr. Samael?" call Elle in doubt.

"Hmm." The man only replied with a short mutter.

Elle glanced at the teacher next to her. Although it looks like a Human race, Mr. Samael is the most mysterious Fallen Angel. He seemed to have an inhuman looking good looks. Almost all students idolize this one teacher.

"Why call me, Miss Thompson?" ask Mr. Samaelian. The man admonished the pensive looking Elle.

Being rebuked like that made Elle blush. "Ah, no. I was just wondering if Mr. Samael has been following us since the beginning?"

The male teacher did not immediately reply, he chuckled. "Actually all I followed was the kid." He pointed at Adniel with his chin. "I've suspected him for a long time"

Elle frowned looking trying to digest. "You mean a long time ago, has it been since the beginning of the school year?"

Mr. Samael immediately shook his head. "No. Since the Summer Battle. The boy looked different since summer."

The black-haired braid girl seemed to be recalling. Wasn't Summer Battle when he fought Adniel?

"So, you mean, Adniel's been possessed since Summer Battle?"

Mr. Samael just kept silent not answering.

Mr. Samael glanced at the Dark Forest that was opposite the Clover Hills with the tail of his eyes. Elle who was watching took a glance in the same direction. "That's one of the spirits in the Dark Forest."

"Spirit Forest? You mean, dryad?"

Mr. Samael looked at Elle while squinting his eyes. He seemed troubled by the last question this female disciple asked. "Ahh, that's not entirely wrong or completely right."

"Then, please explain," Elle pinta.

"I can't explain well" said Mr. Samael, "Just like this, in the Dark Forest something terrible happened. This caused an imbalance of all things. One of them is the spirits who live there. The spirit is getting uncontrollable and unruly."

The serious Elle listened waiting for the continuation of the explanation from Mr. Samaelian. However, the half-angel man seemed uninterested in continuing. That made Elle finally think about what happened.

"Those uncontrollable spirits can possess?"

Mr. Samael chuckled, then nodded. "That's how they are. They own anything. It can be trees, animals, humans, even the Fallen Angel race."

"But how can? Isn't it not easy to get into—”

"The hardest thing is to control what's been possessed." Mr. Samael cut out Elle's sentence. "Having is easy. Especially with a tired physical condition and an unfocused mind."

Elle fell silent. Again he tried to digest what was revealed by his teacher, given the reputation of Mr. Samael was already very well known among the students as the Half-Half Explanator.

This girl sighed in annoyance. He began to compare The Prof which, though mysterious, gave a very detailed explanation, was different from Mr. Samael is always a mysterious pretender.

"Look, that use of your talent power always drains your energy. Not only physical energy, but also soul energy. That is why you must train it, in order to regulate the use of soul energy in the use of talent,” Mr. Samael paused for a moment. “Excessive use of energy will make you not only unfocused, it can even cause loss of consciousness. That's why Summer Battle was made a group so you could support each other."

Mr. Samael continued walking while explaining. "It seems like our Little Prince is already over-exorcising his energy, both physically and soulfully."

Elle smiled hearing Mr. Samael called Adniel our Little Prince. A second later he realized that they were both of the same race and that Adniel was indeed a prince.

"I realized it myself when I ate together. The boy was so avoiding all of our tableware which was indeed made of copper. That's one of the early characteristics of someone who's been possessed by a spirit. Copper is the most painful thing for the spirit, capable of weakening the spirit even though it is inhabiting its host."

At once Elle remembered when Adniel was wary of his knife. It turned out that he was not worried about the sharpness of the blade, but was afraid of coming into contact with copper.

"Sir, I'm still curious. Why does the spirit mean to hurt the students?"

"Didn't you hear it, son?" ask Mr. Samael, "The spirit doesn't want the school to open again."

Elle seemed to be thinking hard. It pecks the lower lip repeatedly. "Is it the will of the spirit itself?"

Mr. Samael glanced at his female disciple. "You have a thought apparently. Tell me what comes to your mind?"

Elle bowed. He blushed at the tone of praise in the words of his handsome teacher. "That's just a cursory thought, sir. I think someone ordered the spirit ...." Elle's voice grew louder at the end of her sentence.

Mr. Samael fell silent and stopped his steps. Making Elle who was indeed walking by his side also stop. He looked at the student. "Sometimes we have to be careful what we think. Not everything needs to be revealed."

Elle nodded. He realized that his last sentence was like an expression of bad prophecy. And that's a taboo thing at Maple Academy.

With a nod of his head, the two of them resumed their steps. Now three people and a puma are crossing Villagic which is still quiet. There's no busyness whatsoever. Both teachers were lucky in the situation.

"Sir, one last question."

Mr. Samel sighs. "You know, son. The Prof always talks about you with one word. Encyclopedia Books. He said you'd keep asking until your curiosity ran out. You're like an encyclopedia book that contains everything you've asked."

Elle grinned while Miss Grweyinn who seemed to hear the phrase Encyclopedia Book chuckled. The girl did not feel insulted.

"Sir, one more question."

"All right." Mr. Samael finally replied indifferently.

"What will happen to that spirit?" Elle asked straight while her eyes stared into the tube containing black smoke in her teacher's hands.

Mr. Samael. He kept stepping letting Elle get curious. "Regarding that, only the principal knows. When we arrive at the Academy, we will complete our task. Miss Grewyinn will concoct the antidote. I'm gonna hand this bottle to the principal, and you're gonna have to drive the puma to the clinic and meet Madam Polina right away."

It was then that Elle only realized they had already arrived in front of the Academy's gates. When the girl turned to say goodbye, Mr. Samael had already disappeared from his sight.

He sighed then accelerated his pace to follow Miss Grewyinn to the Pharmacy Laboratory and immediately shot to the clinic.
