"WELL, IT'S DONE. Your wounds will heal in three days." Madam Polina pulled her hand from Maya's cheek. There are flushed burns on the bottom near the chin.
"Thank you, Ma'am." Maya felt her wound slightly improve.
"Other times, be careful." Madam Polina got up from her seat, "I'll excuse you, please" and left the room.
Maya is relieved. Shortly thereafter, Lily approached. Instead of feeling worried, they even hugged and did tos.
"It's okay?" tanya Lily pointed at Maya's reddish cheeks. The one asked laughed and nodded.
Maya takes the mirror from behind the orange robe she is wearing. He turned to the right and then to the left, watching his face closely. "I'm still beautiful" she said, laughing.
"Only, I'm worried about my hair" continued Maya while combing the front of her brown hair that stood stiff.
Lily rolled her eyes lazily, which was true, just now Maya was hit by an exploding potion. Their gazes clashed against each other, then widened when recalling the events in the Potion class.
"Oh, my God, the potion exploded!" lily shouted when she saw Maya's potion billowing a lot of smoke.
All attention was directed towards Maya. The Prof had even been standing near Maya to check on the state of the student. Deftly, The Prof got rid of the potion that was still puffing hot smoke.
"You okay, Miss Calliston?"
"Oh my God, it's so hot!" Maya wags her hands like a man of rage.
"I'll take him to the hospital, Prof." Lily quickly grabbed Maya's hand and said goodbye to The Prof.
"You put anything in your potion?" Still laughing, Lily asked curiously.
Maya tapped her index finger on her chin with a stare. "Eitherway. I guess ... maybe the Ashwinder eggs are still warm into the concoction ... Emm, what is it? I forgot." replied Maya who was smiling amusedly.
Lily shook her head in disbelief, "Geez, are you crazy?"
"Crazy means brilliant," Maya sniffs her shoulders. "At the same time I've taken the fire protection potion, so I'm protected."
They laugh back. Until the footsteps interrupt. Efron and Jace come into Maya's ward.
"You got it?"
Jace smiled proudly, while Efron took out a small bottle filled with yellow liquid. Maya and Lily screamed in excitement, their plan succeeding.
"O, yes, I heard that Saturday we're free. So, prepare yourself with Jace to find Sleipnir's horse. Maya and I will find out about the spirit-releasing spell" said Efron, who now rests on a table beside the bed.
Lily nodded despite being a little heavy-hearted. He could not imagine being left alone with Jace. Hopefully we don't create any new problems anymore, Lily's inner.
Sleipnir is the most beautiful horse.
Lily and Jace are now in Gingko Forest. Early in the morning they left the dormitory. The previous night they had scraped information about Sleipnir from Sibyl.
The stallion is gray and large.
Since then, they have not found any horses. Even so, an unrelenting smile was etched on Lily's lips. He loved Gingko Forest. This forest is the most beautiful forest on Maple Island. Many butterflies dance with dragonflies.
Every now and then Lily jumped small as it passed through the beautiful roots that ran through the ground. Although it is now autumn, but Gingko Forest remains charming for anyone who sees it. Lily is a plant lover.
Sleipnir is an eight-legged horse.
Again, information from Sibyl was ringing in Lily's head.
Huh, that's right! We have not yet encountered a four-legged horse. Especially the eight legs. Is there such a horse?
They continued walking through Gingko Forest. So far there is no sign of Sleipnir. And here is where the supernatural gathers. Although sometimes some animals move.
The sun was getting hotter, but Lily had not even reached the middle of the forest yet. Gingko Forest is indeed vast. Lily decided to rest near a small, very clear river. A soothing sight always greets the vision.
There is no forest as beautiful as Gingko Forest, Lily's inner.
Jace as usual continued to chatter. Expressing her frustration at having to get into trouble with Lily. Just for the sake of her bracelet, she had to help Lily.
"Your bracelet seems ordinary, it's no good at all" commented Lily who was getting annoyed with Jace's grumbling.
The bracelet made from hemp was first made with his mother as a child. A sweet memento before Jace loses his family in a back-to-back accident in his town. Jace's eyes closed, trying to hide the sorrow that was emanating in them.
Lily stared in disbelief. It was obvious that he was being unkind to Jace.
"Forget it, don't look at me with pity. I don't like it." Jace looked at Lily who was silent beside him.
Holy crap! Lily was caught looking at Jace.
"W-what? No. gabe. I just ... just ...." Lily's brown irises move quickly, typical of panicked people who are looking for excuses. "Oh, I just found out that your eyes are green. I thought it was pitch black."
Lily smiled awkwardly, then turned her eyes. His gaze was fixed on the large tree with light powder glowing around it. He looked at the tree. It is said that there was a little elf who lived in the tree.
"Stop admiring this forest, our goal is to find Sleipnir's horse, not for sightseeing."
Lily looked lazily at Jace. Can't Jace just let her be happy for a second? He just had the intention to make peace. Lily's lips were puffing. He was very lazy to do the search for Sleipnir only two with the haughty man.
An idea suddenly flashed, "How about we split up?" asked Lily with her eyebrows up and down.
Jace looked at Lily for a moment. The green net seems to say 'you're up', then they agreed to part with the tree as a gathering point.
"Remember, yes, only until dusk. If the horse hasn't met, each of us should come back here" Lily said before leaving Jace.
The sound of the shoes so loud knocked on the floor in the Potion Room. Maya does not stop pacing frantically, while Efron is busy struggling with bottles of potions.
"You better help me, May. Your behavior made my focus break" protested Efron who now took off his lab glasses and stared intently at Maya.
"Ups, sorry." Maya takes her place in front of Efron. His hand grabbed several plastic packages containing strange objects. "This what?" Maya points to a package containing green powder.
"That's a snake fang that's been crushed" explained Efron. He mixed some powder carefully by using an iron clamp so as not to be exposed to the poison.
"You're like making a boil healing potion" Maya said, accompanied by rarity.
"The potion was made on the stove, not in a bottle like this." Efron stood up and picked up some bottles which he then gave to Maya. "Rather than fussing, help me concoct."
Efron mint Maya to include some ingredients, such as porcupine feather powder mixed with green snail slime. Maya obeys Efron's orders meticulously and painfully.
Until the sky began to darken, they just ended the activity. Efron stuffed some herbs into a small bottle to take to the dormitory.
"Something seems lacking." Efron counted the number of bottles laid out on the table. "We still need one more potion to put together."
Maya looked questioningly. He only followed Efron's direction because he was not an expert in this field. I am an expert in what field?
While walking out, Maya suddenly felt something. His eyebrows fused together and his eyes closed.
"What's wrong?" ask Efron.
"Why, I feel bad things are going to happen."
The sky was dark, but Jace did not return. Lily waited anxiously since. Every now and then, his head peeked, perhaps Jace would appear. However, for almost 1 hour, there was no sign of Jace returning. Is it okay for Jace to leave me?
Lily took out a few small seeds from under her cloak. "Livaere!" Then it blew out a life and spread it to the ground.
Lily tried to focus and raised her hand until a spinach grew. He took something back under his cloak. A yellow liquid that Jace and Efron had taken from the potion class. The liquid is luciferase. Luciferase contains light taken from fireflies. Lily rubs on the leaves of spinach until scattered yellow light like a lamp. Lily plucked the spinach, then took it back down the Gingko Forest.
"Jace?" scream Lily. In the dim light, Lily continued to walk in an uncertain direction to look for Jace's whereabouts. He kept shouting all the way, no matter how his screams would disturb or wake the forest dwellers.
"Jace?" Lily was splitting the bushes, the branches of the trees, as well as whatever was blocking her. Several times his face was scratched due to the lack of lighting.
He pulled out his red hair and came out Lady, his black lady. "Lady, please help me, yeah!" Then the Lady followed Lily's orders and began flying in search of Jace's whereabouts.
"Jace?" lily shouted getting louder. "Where are you, ha?"
Is it true that Jace left me? Lily chose to sit for a while and leaned against the large tree behind her. His breath was breathless with sweat as big as corn kernels soaking his forehead.
A loud, goal-sounding noise sounded, like the sound of a fight. Lily's sharpening her hearing. Shortly after, the Lady approached. Lily immediately got up and followed the Lady who led the way. The sound felt closer. Lily looked on alert.
"Jace?" This time his voice turned very slow. "Jace, are you there?" Lily took a step. It was as if it was afraid that anyone would know of its existence.
Lady continues to lead Lily's steps deeper into the forest. The bushes are getting busier. Lily pulled over the leaves that were blocking the view. His eyes instantly puffed up when he saw what was ahead there.
"Jace!"
