An Injured Kind - Hearted Boy

SHAL LAID THANN on a flat, dry section of the cave floor. What's wrong with her? Shal held onto Thann's forehead which started to sweat. Yeah, the boy has a fever. His face was pale. Through that touch Shal could feel the blood flow in Thann's body not flowing blood in his own body. In addition, the oxygen levels in Thann's body are also much lower than the oxygen levels in his body. Somehow he knew he could compare his body to Thann's.

Shal closed his eyes and tried to concentrate more deeply. Unexpectedly, he seemed to be able to trace the inside of Thann's body. He could feel his heartbeat and like it could flow in Thann's bloodstream. Not only that, the girl could also feel that something was wrong with Thann's body. There was a wound in Thann's body and it was in his leg.

This became the first experience for him to explore the parts in one's body. He had never touched someone and felt this kind of sensation before. During this time, Shal only observes the workings of his own body and searches for information in books or the internet.

Shal was about to take his hand off Thann's forehead to check the man's legs, but there was something in Thann's body that caught his eye. Shal instead concentrated on exploring further inside Thann's body. He felt a hole in Thann's body that was spinning very slowly and seemed to be able to pull him into the hole. Suddenly Shal hears Malachite calling out to him, along with Thann's hand trying to get Shal's hand off his forehead.

Shal opened his eyes and was stunned. The experience was both stressful and thrilling. It's like a roller coaster ride. Somehow you know it is dangerous, but you always want more. It's very strange, but impressive.

“There is a wound on your leg!” Shal regained consciousness from his daydream and immediately checked Thann's feet. Yeah, Thann's pants were torn in the thigh and there was a wound. Shal knew exactly this wound was due to the lashing of pig fangs. The girl was sorry for being insensitive.

Although there was no medical equipment around, Shal still knew what to do. Shal immediately removed the scarf around his neck, then used it to suppress the bleeding on Thann's wound.

“You're not too deep, Thann. The tear is not big.”

Shal was also injured like this, but now he is fine. Thann should have not helped him earlier. However, Shal also felt grateful to Thann. Behind his indifferent attitude, it turns out that Thann cares and is kind. Right now, Shal was again looking at the other side of Thann.

“This time is enough to stop bleeding temporarily.” Shal tried to comfort Thann. He did feel that the blood coming out was not too much. Hopefully, by being pressed like that, the blood does not pour out. Now, he needs plaster to glue Thann's wound. Shal tried to search around in his pockets and around the cave, but there was nothing like plaster there.

“I didn't kill them.” Shal heard Thann muttering weakly. “I just took some of their energy, because I ran out of energy.”

“Iya, Thann.” Shal responded to Thann while clasping the man's hand. Shal also wiped away the sweat that was pouring down Thann's forehead and neck. However, the girl could not linger on doing so. His body was like giving a warning not to come into contact with the man for too long. This was probably because of the mystical hole that was inside Thann's body. Shal himself was confused to identify what and where the hole was located. According to his estimation, it was the hole that sucked up the energy.

“Energy in me is unstable. Growing wings, fighting the heat of the dragon fire, and drifting in the river had absorbed a lot of my energy, so I needed the energy of other beings. Plus the fight with the pig parent—”

Thann did not continue his words because he tried to breathe regularly. Shal stroked Thann's head trying to calm her down.

The cause of piglets drooping and suddenly withered flowers is known. Thann took their energy. This energy-sucking abnormality has never been heard of or studied by Shal in class. Therefore, he could not give a diagnosis at all. He was blind about energy-sucking and didn't know what to do.

“I thought the moss could cure me. I—” Thann is like delirious.

Thann smiled sinisterly as he closed his eyes again.

“You know why the dragon master Porsche looked angry earlier?” Thann was back. “That's because I touched her and she knows I have bad intentions.”

Shal shook his head slowly. “Thann, indeed stealing is not a good deed. However, you are only trying to heal yourself and survive,” bela Shal. If the dragon Portessa could indeed see the depths of the heart, she must have known Thann's intentions were not entirely bad.

Shal ate a small part of the grass and sap. He could feel his body processing the plant and it tasted the same when he had been secretly trying to eat Usaia mandea in the Herbology class. No doubt, this is Usaia mandea grass.

Shal directly concocted the herb from the plant Pupalia lappacea brought by Malachite friend earlier. The plant has antibacterial effects and heals wounds. Shal used Amara's elephant tusks to crush the plant on the rock. After the plant's juice was draped in Thann's wound, Shal plastered it with Usaia mandea.

The girl clasped Thann's hand. Thann's condition began to improve. Thann's drugs and body cells began to work harder to treat the wound. Luka Thann should immediately get further treatment, but the first aid given is good enough. Merely, Shal still felt Thann's energy steadily decreasing. The more dangerous thing is actually losing all of its energy. Did he have to give his energy to Thann?

 This cave has a lot of energy, Shal. Who knows, if you ask well, this cave will give it to your friend.

Once again Malachite communicates with him through the mind and provides an alternative way out for him. Indeed Gingko Forest had already bestowed him a very good friend!

Shal recalled, Diadyra taught him to explore nature as a rich source of sound and music. However, not only that, nature is also a good source of energy. Therefore, when singing in nature and with nature, positive energy from nature can be channeled into our bodies and to people who hear, causing a feeling of happiness.

I don't know, Mala. I don't know how to ask the cave for energy. I've never had an energy transfer before. However, I will try from what I know.

Shal tries to focus his mind on the sounds that exist in nature. He could hear the sound of wind rustling and water ripples within the cave. He could also hear water droplets from some stalactites that were on top of the cave. He hadn't noticed that before. Shal tries to unite his mind with nature and starts singing while harmonizing his singing with the sounds of nature. Shal doesn't know many songs, so he starts with the children's songs that Diadyra once taught him.

After a while, Shal clasped Thann's hand. Shal felt that there was energy going into Thann's body bit by bit, just as there was energy going into his own body along with the breath. The energy in his body was also slowly absorbed by Thann through the grasp of his hand. It turned out that it worked enough. The energy in Thann's body slowly increased.

Once again, his body opposed Shal to linger doing so. Somehow, he knew the energy vortex in Thann's body could ask for more than just energy transfer. Thann's body seemed to be able to absorb all of Shal's energy without realizing it. Thankfully Shal has a body that can tell him when to stop. He removed his hand from Thann and leaned against the wall of the cave. After everything that happened that day, Shal felt he needed a break. However, Shal remembered something.

Shal pleaded to his own body, then opened his eyes and spoke to Malachite.

Thann needs further help. However, I was worried that if he moved too much, he would use up a lot of energy. So, I'm gonna go find my team and ask for help. May they survive the fiery breath of the dragon children and be able to help Thann.

Malachite approached and stayed on the back of Shal's hand.

All right, I'm going with you. I've explored most of these woods. I can show you the way and ask some of my friends in the woods for help if needed.

Shal agreed to Malachite's suggestion.

“Thann, Malachite and I will be away for a while looking for help. You stay here first, yeah. We'll be back soon.”  Shal whispered to Thann who looked asleep.
