Winter Disaster
"MICH GEHEN CLASS!"
The red-haired girl wriggled, trying to break away from the chain of red light that wrapped around her body. His white shirt looked shabby with patches of soil stuck to some parts. His hand tried to stretch the chain, but the movement instead caused his thin body to be electrocuted.
Lily James, the girl with the red mane gave up. His shoulders were drowning helplessly. Her brown net moved to observe the corners of the room surrounded by mossy old walls and rusty iron bars. "Efron, can't you take this chain off with your magic?" lily whispered to the man who was chained with her.
The gray bead of the man called Efron looked at Lily for a moment, then turned to the ceiling filled with spider webs. "Free, these chains are too strong and absorb our energy. Even my spell doesn't work at all" explained Efron. Usually the most shrewd Efron overcame all the emergency situations that happened to the three of them. It was because he was born from the Wizard race. Making him master several magic spells was easily compared to the other students.
It's been more than 10 hours Lily with her two friends—Maya Calliston and Efron, confined in that damp room. Had he moved faster last night, he would not have been stuck here.
Leaning her back against the wall, Lily closed her eyes. His mind was busy imagining the worst that might soon befall him. He regretted dragging his two best friends into the trouble he created. More precisely because of his carelessness.
"It's not your fault, Lily." Maya's shrill voice made Lily aghast. As always, Maya can always read people's minds. It has a special sensor that can detect the aura around it.
"Who feels guilty?" lily asked who was greeted with a small laugh from Maya.
"You. Did I mention another name?"
"No, I'm not—"
"Even I know that you're holding back your pee" Maya said lightly, raising her eyebrows.
Lily rolled her eyes lazily. His stomach always reacts this way when panicking. Let alone Maya, almost all students in her class also know the habits of Lily that one.
Lily would almost kick the legs of her two friends for daring to laugh at her. However, before that happened, a woman with a fur coat encircling her body suddenly appeared before them.
"You can joke in these circumstances" said the woman, shaking her head. Sighing, he stared at his students one by one. As her gaze turned to Lily, she glared at the red girl. "Miss James, how many times have I asked you not to cause trouble?"
"Sorry, ma'am, I'm sorry. But really, we don't do as it says."
Aimer Venmaris just sniffed his shoulders, no matter what. I don't think he can trust this girl anymore. "Tell me anything later in front of the entire Academy. My job is to just take you to the Hall."
In the next instant, Aimer's lips moved to cast a spell. A green spray appeared around the entire room. Until slowly causing the walls mossy and rusty iron bars disappear. Replaced with a room full of large shelves with books neatly lined up.
So ... The prison was just an illusion?
Winter has just begun. Supposedly, all the Academy residents were enjoying their respective holidays. However, almost the entire corridor was bustling with people in suits as well as orange robes today. They were asked to gather in the hall. The rails of confusion were printed clearly, considering the Hall was a special place for important and official events.
Lily felt her body shiver. Either because of the low temperature and not wearing a coat, or because of the nervousness mixed with fear that is running over him. The exhaling of breath many times, trying to dispel all the anxiety that dwells in the heart.
"Calm down, Lily. Everything will be fine" Maya said, trying to calm her down. But not with his voice. Obviously, the girl was also worried. In fact, usually Maya is always confident and firm in pronouncing the sentence. Maya clearly understood more about what would happen after this. Everything's not gonna be okay.
"Balls-ups!" efron's curse is slow, but still heard by Lily and Maya. They understood very well that Efron was the most passionate being in this Maple High School Academy. I don't know what the reason is, he always tried to do his best all along.
The situation became quiet when a pair of strapping legs began to climb the podium. A man with a firm look was holding two wooden slats stuck together in his hand. When opened, the wood raises a white light like a screen.
"I'm very sorry for this incident" he said before staring at the screen he was holding. "The theft of the golden-haired wooden statue, Sif, from the Museum by three Maple High School Academy students named Efron, Lily James, and Maya Calliston."
Lily tried to listen to her hearing. No, he didn't do that. His body shivered again, afraid. The atmosphere that had previously been quiet became crowded with whispers from the students who clustered. Some of them stared in disbelief at the three students standing with chains on their bodies.
The sound of silence interrupts. The man on the podium raised his voice again. "I, James Dakota, represent the entire staff and teachers. Hereby declare that ...." James Dakota deliberately hung up his sentence, trying to observe the three prisoners who would be sentenced before him.
Nah! Lily wasn't ready to hear it. Closing his eyes, he wished this was just a nightmare. When he wakes up, everything will go on as usual. Lily swore by anything that she didn't steal. Not at all. He felt his stomach churn, his bladder feel full.
Maya tries to grab Lily's hand. Draining positive energy, even though he himself also feels fear. Biting her lips, trying to resist the vibrations in her body.
Open your eyes and hold your head up if you're innocent.
That voice sounded very familiar in Lily's ears. He gave a glance, but did not find the figure sought.
I'm here, with you.
The voice came back. Feels closer.
"Lily, you heard that, didn't you?" whispered Maya.
"You heard that too? I thought I was just hallucinating," asked Lily, then taken in by her two best friends.
"With this I declare that the concerned will be dishonorably excluded from Maple—"
"Wait!"
A man in a long black robe tried to stop James Dakotta from speaking. In his hand was a flower of unusual size and glittering.
"What are you carrying, Samael?" james asked in amazement.
Samael slicked his shoulders with a smile, "Let's ask the owner, "and then looked at Lily, "What is this, Miss James?"
Lily looked surprised by what Samael, her teacher, brought. Maya and Efron.
"I-it ... Golden Hibiscus, sir."
All eyes are patterned, especially Aimer Venmaris. Presumably the woman knew very well the Golden Hibiscus that Lily meant. "Where did you get it and ... how did you get it?" asked Aimer with a look of shock. Obviously, the flower cannot be obtained by just anyone.
"I—" Lily's speech came to a halt when she saw the Golden Hibiscus Samael held giving off dots of light. The light shimmered, then swirled around like a whirlwind.
Everything's gonna be okay.
