When We Spend Our School Break at School

“AKU PROUD WE could spend time together here.” Amara said as she propped up her chin gracefully. Shal, Amara, and Valfred were sitting together at the library table, accompanied by a pile of books.

Shal obviously wanted to find information about the dragons or mosses of Porsesa. He was obsessed with the dragon. If Valfred, he said he wanted to end the book The Viking and God of Thunder which he had borrowed two weeks ago, but only read to the preface. Valfred hopes that by reading in the library with Amara and Shal, he really makes significant progress.

Shal and Amara know for sure that's a made-up excuse.

After recovering from the poisoning of that time, Valfred often daydreamed, blushed, and wavered. Most surprisingly, Valfred went to the library to read and borrow books! At first Shal and Amara thought it was the effect of the poison or the drug he drank, but in the end it was discovered that Valfred was alone with Elleanor Thompson who often read books in the library.

“Read the correct book!” Amara fixed the location of Valfred's book which turned out to be upside down. The Werewolf man was indeed not intent on reading a book. He just wanted to steal a look at the girl he loved reading a book at one of the library tables.

I don't think autumn is coming to an end. Shal is still waiting for certainty about the dragon Porsesa. For how long should he wait?

I hope you can also be patient because this process can take several weeks or even months.

Shal remembered the words of The Prof. Will he be able to spend his vacation on Maple Island and not go home? She misses seeing Mom and Sham. Shal felt mellow.

“I am grateful this first year we can pass well. At the thought of the many troublemaking disciples wandering around Maple Academy, my head immediately ached. I hope you can learn more diligently and stay polite. Do not get next year you are included in the list of problematic students.” Amara advised her two friends who immediately nodded obediently. Amara is like a mother who is advising her two children not to get involved in bad relationships at school.

“Mainly you, wolf cub.” Amara accuses Valfred with her index finger, “Try to focus more on learning! Don't let kasmaran make you dream all day!”

Amara opened a book called Animal Kingdom and began reading. Lately he has been finding out a lot about various animals because he is interested in having an inner bond with one of the animals in Gingko Forest. Shal followed in the footsteps of his elf friend by reading a collection of flora and fauna magazines. Of course he was looking for additional information about the dragons or mosses of Porsesa.

Previously, Shal had been informed that the dragon Porsisa belongs to the category of spiritual dragons that are believed to like to explore the whole world and do not like to show its form. According to ancient stories, one day the dragon screamed from the forest. Only a young man named Porsesa ventured into the forest and found him. Some of the dragon's skin is covered in moss that makes it tormented. Portessa carefully cleaned the moss, so that the dragon could fly back quietly. Upon arriving home, the young man found his mother seriously ill and covered her with her clothes. Accidentally his mother bit the young man's clothes covered in moss and slowly healed. The remains of moss left in the forest are believed to be consumed by animals and absorbed by plants, so as to cure certain diseases.

There is no clear documentation of an encounter with the dragons, until finally in 1824 published the official journal of a research team. They met a dragon whose back was covered in moss. Previously, the dragon made a call or invitation to them through a scream. However, the moss obtained is not very healing, as in the story. The official research journal of 1824 gives an overview to Shal related to the form of the dragon and the atmosphere of the meeting. The dragon is quite calm when moss retrieval is done and nothing dangerous happens during retrieval.

  Information about the dragon Porsisa is still not widely known because the dragon is very rarely found. Experts suspect that the moss on the dragon skin comes from the habit of the dragon who likes to travel the world. There are many theories, such as the possibility of the dragon visiting certain lucky places, living in places exposed to magical spores, for example, or consume certain types of plants that are not known to exist by other creatures.

Currently, Shal was reading another theory from the article he was reading. This is the most crazy theory he's ever read. He said the dragon was soaking in the magma of a volcano in Summerland. The mountain contains a lucky rock that has healing powers and is associated with the meteor that fell in 1822. The stone was no longer lucky because its power was absorbed into the meteor thrown into the black hole. The theorists believe the Golden Asteroid that fell in 2222 resurfaced the stone to give it healing power. There is no accurate evidence of this. However, the author is convinced that this theory has a fanatical following who will continue to find out the whereabouts of the lucky stone.

“Is in the book you read, any information about dragons, Am?” Shal tries to distract him.

Amara looked at Shal for a while, then replied, “There are many types of dragons. There are dragons that like to be alone, there are dragons that like to be friends, there are dragons that like to meditate, and there are also protective dragons. For some types of dragons, his blood can make strong, his bones can be for divination, and his sweat can make you young. In ancient times, some dragons were once savagely slaughtered.”

Shal gulped because he knew that his people were among those who committed the massacre.

“Many believe dragon hunters still roam, even though the profession is banned. The business of buying and selling dragon limbs is reportedly still going on in the black market of the world to date. Therefore, the Dragon Boy should not bind the inner with the dragon just to look cool. They should also be ready to protect their dragons.”

Amara was silent for a few seconds, then continued her speech, “There are many things about the dragon, Shalima. However, Valfred says I've been talking too much. So now I better shut up.”

Shal and Valfred looked at each other. It seems that Amara managed to penetrate Valfred's mind and read it. Lately, Shal and Valfred have often been the object of Amara's mind-reading exercises.

“It's not important, really. Uh, Diadyra's rehearsal will start soon, Am. Let's hurry up!” Shalima immediately tidied up her books.

 Shalima was deeply moved by the siren singing she heard at the Autumn Festival and immediately went to the Mystic and Music club to express her interest. He said the sound of singing was very relaxing. Shal wanted to learn more to see how far singing could be used for therapy or healing. Did the song become relaxing because of the siren sound or indeed the mystical song?

Unexpectedly, Shal was well received. So good, he was immediately registered as a member. In fact, Shal actually only wanted to consult one of the guiding sirens. Since then, Shal has been training at the Mystic and Music club.

Miraride, the club's chief siren, sent a siren named Diadyra to be his special guide. Diadyra not only has a beautiful voice, but can also call nature to voice and create harmony from the song he sings. No wonder sometimes the birds stay long in the heads of music players, including Amara, to chirp. Diadyra also taught Shal to explore nature as a rich source of sound and music.

Shal got permission to train with Diadyra on the edge of Lakevender even though the club's activities had been completed for the year. Many creatures visit this lake for relaxation, but some are deliberately away from it for fear of contemplating too far to go crazy. Since joining the Mystic and Music club, Shal felt more relaxed. Sometimes he has trouble sleeping because he is restless waiting for an announcement about the dragon Porsesa. However, he was increasingly able to manage his anxiety well.

“The sirens of the past could sedate the sailors with their singing, so that their ship would eventually sink. In fact, the good siren sings deep songs and touches the heart so that beings can contemplate the existence of life in the universe. The reaction that appears is different. Some can change their lives for the better, but some choose to end their lives because they realize how painful it is to live in the world. Some creatures say our singing provides calmness and is able to cope with mental disorders. The other creature said our singing became a kind of escape from the cruel world. I myself never know the extent of the effect, but indeed our singing can make someone lose consciousness.” Diadyra told Shal some little-known things about the siren. They were sitting on the rocks on the edge of the lake talking and observing the pink streaks in the sky. Not far from there, Amara was enjoying me-time while playing the harp.

Shal was agitated. Will the singing someday be useful or even bring disaster? While thinking, Shal noticed the stream of the lake that looked very calm. The girl could hear the sound of wind swirling in her ears. He tightened his jacket as the cold started to pierce the skin.
