Marrying the Father of My Foster Son

Marrying the Father of My Foster Son
Two Women Conversations in Ghani's Life

When Ghani voiced his wish, Arumi could not accept his son's request. “But, why? Your grandmother's house is very spacious and various facilities are available there. There is a home theater, a children's swimming pool, a sauna, and much more, all of which are available in our homes. Would you let your parents live alone in such a big house?” said Arumi with teary eyes.

The house that Arumi and her husband lived in was indeed very large. This house is the heritage house of Mei Ling, Arumi's in-laws. Arumi thought that instead of Ghani, Queensha, and Aurora bothering to find a new place to live, they could stay here. There are many rooms in this house that are empty.

For privacy issues, of course, will be awake. Arumi is not the kind of parent who likes to interfere. So, Ghani and Queensha can build a household without having to think about a place to live. Their money can be saved for other purposes, for example for the education of Aurora later.

Unfortunately, Arumi has to swallow a pill disappointed when Ghani insists he does not want to live at home with his parents.

“We want to be independent, Bun. We don't want to break the relationship with Dad and Mommy just, I want to start living independently, doing anything without having to bother others." Ghani says it gently so that Arumi does not feel hurt.

“However, you will feel more relieved if you can see Rora every day. Mommy wants to always play with my granddaughter, is that wrong?" Arumi still shows sad mimicry.

Ghani smiles. He patted Arumi's arm. “I understand Mother loves Aurora very much. Take it easy, we will certainly often visit home so that Mother is not lonely anymore. So, does Mommy allow us to have our own place to live?”

Arumi looked at Ghani, Queensha, and Aurora alternately. He didn't expect this dinner to have to make himself decide on a very difficult choice.

As a parent, Arumi always wanted to make things easier for her child. Although Ghani is an adult, but in his eyes Ghani is still a child. It has become an instinct for parents to try to make the child happy and prevent them from distress.

Seeing the doubt from within her best friend, Rini opened her voice. Not to interfere, but just to give a little advice for Arumi.

“Arumi, you better grant Ghani.”'s request Rini as Arumi's best friend joined the vote. It just so happened that the woman was invited to dinner together.

“But, Rin, I ...." Arumi was about to protest, but her voice was stuck in the throat.

“I know you mean well,” connect Rini. "However, Ghani has the right to decide for himself his future with his wife and children. Apart from being your son, he is also the head of the family now that he must prioritize is his small family. If he wants to have his own home, you have to respect his decision.”

Arumi was a little stunned at Rini's words. Also true. Ghani has become the head of the family. What he should prioritize is the happiness of his family not just his parents.

“I agree with the words of Rini,” cetus Rayyan. “Toh Ghani instead of moving to another planet. He we can still meet.” Rayyan half-jokingly, crisp sounding, butu managed to make a faint smile float on the lips of the wife.

Arumi gave a small smile hearing her husband's joke. “Good. Looks like I lost my vote. I'll grant you your wish, son. You can move house, live independently without the need to trouble anyone. Mother supports your decision." Finally he relented after thinking carefully.

Ghani breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Mother.”

Arumi smile. Queensha and Aurora. As long as her daughter-in-law and granddaughter are happy, Arumi will give up. It is all for the common good, not just him.

Finally, dinner resumed. Light talks flow on the dining table between Arumi, Rayyan, Rini, Ghani, Queensha, and Aurora. Laughter was heard several times. Especially when Aurora plays guesswork that can not be guessed by others.

“So, no one knows what fish makes the head explode?” challenge Aurora in the middle of their activities to eat dishes on the dining table.

“Hmm, what is it? Cork fish?” Ghani goes into confusion and answers Aurora's question.

“Wrong! No one knows?”

Everyone at the dinner table answered. Eventually, they gave up.

“What's the answer?” Rayyan scratched her head, curious about her granddaughter's guess.

“Answers .. FISH-IKA. Adults say the lesson is very difficult and often even makes their heads smoky because it is difficult to learn.” Aurora mimicked the answer she had heard from her senior brother, but she herself did not know what physics was a student.

“Yeah, so the answer is physics, after all.” Unconcerned, Queensha chuckles. He realized that the lesson was to make the head explode and related to the fish (in English the fish is fish).

“Hahaha, can, can.” Arumi, who had a flat face from earlier because she was confused to think about her grandson's answer, immediately laughed until she broke into tears.

Seeing everything on the dining table laughing, Aurora only revealed a nosy smile. Although it was a small guess, but he was happy to have made everyone laugh.

"Mas, I'm going to catch up with Mommy. Please take care of Rora for a moment, afraid she's crying for looking for me."

Ghani. "Yes, be careful not to fall." The man tried to warn her because he knew Queensha's vision was a little problematic due to her minus eyes.

Queensha walked along a wooden walkway to a park that was deliberately provided by the restaurant to its customers. There is a children's playground, garden chairs, and a fountain with a top there is a miniature old woman who is able to carry a jug from the jug that draws water, falling down.

The narrow-eyed beautiful woman sat in an empty chair next to her mother. "What is Mother thinking? Is Mommy still thinking about the problem?"

Arumi nodded. Can't hide his heartbreak in front of the son-in-law. "Mother is just afraid, you're out there in distress even though you know, Ghani must be responsible for his wife and child, still the fear is still in me. What if Rora is sick, who will take care of her? Aren't you having trouble taking care of your home, husband and children at the same time? What if you get sick, while Ghani works, who will take care of my granddaughter?" He poured all his mischief over Queensha.

Queensha grabs Arumi's hand, then puts it on her lap. "I can understand how Mother feels. For Mother's question, Mas Ghani and I had anticipated it. We plan on hiring a housekeeper who takes care of household needs, while I will focus on taking care of Mas Ghani and Rora. I feel like I can take care of my little baby and my big baby at the same time."

"If I were sick, I would have a mother, who could help me take care of Rora. Mother and Father can come to the apartment to accompany Rora as long as I'm sick."

Arumi smiled at Queensha's reply. The uneasiness he had felt, slowly faded away.

"Sha, you are now Ghani's legal wife. Ghani is the mother's favorite son. Since Ghani insisted on leaving this house, mother asked you to take good care of her. Mother leave my beloved son to you, Queensha.”

Queensha. His eyes bulged and his heart stopped beating for a few seconds. However, he could soon take control of himself again.

“Mother, forever Ghani remains Mother's property, really."

Arumi shakes. “No, Queensha. Mommy realizes that she must completely release Ghani. She's grown up and she's married. Because soon you will be anxious, mother asks you to make her happy with all your heart. Never hurt her. Are you ready?”

“Of course willing. I will try to make Mas Ghani happy because he always tries to make me happy, Bun."

“I know Ghani is not a perfect human being. If there is a problem, immediately negotiate. Don't be afraid to apologize or forgive. That's the only way the household can last a long time."

Queensha nodded steadily. “Iya, Mother. Thank you for the advice. I'll do it." Queensha hugged Arumi tightly.

Unbeknownst to Arumi and Queensha, Ghani apparently heard their conversation. As Arumi and Queensha never return, while Aurora whines that she wants to be with her mother, Ghani is determined to follow. It was then that he heard the chatter of Arumi and Ghani.

Seeing Arumi and Ghani cuddling, Ghani spontaneously approached and hugged the two. Arumi and Ghani are shocked by Ghani's actions.

“Ghani?"

“Mas Ghani?"

The two women said almost together.

Ghani smiles. “I love you both. I will not disappoint my dear Bundaku and my dear wife,” Ghani said with trembling lips. Tonight, he became more emotional than usual probably because of the supportive atmosphere so he became a little melow.

Queensha and Arumi smiled. They knew Ghani's words were very sincere.

“Mother, I promise I will often go home to see Mother and Father. I won't keep Aurora away from her Grandpa and Grandma. I promise, Mommy.”

“Yes, mother understands." Arumi smile. Eyes closed. Now, he has let Ghani go to live his own life with Queensha, and Aurora.

Every parent will feel it. There will be a time when they release their children into their own world.

Just like Ghani. He is now a doctor and hospital director. That was his life path. His world. Arumi is happy for the career of her son.

Arumi doesn't have to be afraid of losing. Ghani will forever be his son, wherever he is. Although he has his own family, he believes his son will keep his word.
