"Queenshaa. Where are you going?"
Queensha paused and raised her gaze, looking as if both of her in-laws had just come and were looking at her in a daze. He immediately lowered his head avoiding the gazes of the two in-laws.
Arumi and Rayyan were stunned to see the second daughter-in-law of the Wijaya Kusuma family carrying a suitcase and backpack that looked heavy on the back. They were astonished and looked at each other. In their minds they asked, why did Queensha suddenly bring all her belongings? Did Ghani ask their son-in-law to move rooms?
Not wanting to keep guessing, Arumi walked closer to Queensha who was still bowing her head. His face was covered with a red nose like he was crying. Suddenly, Arumi became worried and scared.
"Where are you going?" asked Arumi once more while holding Queensha's shoulder. There was a shiver felt on his daughter-in-law's body. "Son?" call Arumi, then Queensha raised her head and tried to hold back the tears that would again come out of her pretty eyes. Her eyes glazed over and chose to lower her head again, avoiding the sharp gaze of her mother-in-law.
"I-I'm .. I'm leaving" Queensha said stammeringly. It made Arumi and Rayyan startled and looked at each other more and more confused, but they did not want to think badly before asking further.
"Where to go?" asked Arumi more confused, the more unhappy his heart with the words of his daughter-in-law.
"Ghani has dropped talaq. Therefore ... I will go," Queensha said softly.
Rayyan and Arumi were surprised to hear that, it was unbelievable that the son had dropped this talaq to his son-in-law.
"No way!" arumi said in disbelief as she shook her head slowly. "How could Ghani drop talaq on you, honey?" said the mother-in-law. Queensha lowered her head again, playing the edge of her clothes with her fingers so tangled. "You're kidding me, aren't you?" ask Arumi. I wish Queensha would just play with him. However, he saw Queensha shaking her head.
"That's real, Mother. Mr. Ghani divorced me last night. And we ...." Queensha was speechless, hurt when she was going to continue.
"But why? Why did he divorce you? Mommy thinks your problems won't get this way!" asked Arumi did not accept, anger immediately came to him about this statement of his daughter-in-law. They thought last night that Queensha and Ghani would be fine after their departure.
"Night Mr. Ghani divorced me and said that I cannot interfere in Aurora's affairs,” Queensha said honestly. It's not nice to talk like that, but Arumi has to know what's going on, right?
“Gosh! You can't get a divorce" Arumi looked at Queensha once again, but the woman just stared at the floor and didn't speak at all. Instantly he felt slapped by a violent flash of lightning in a very bright day. Arumi shook her head and took a few small steps back. His chest rumbled loudly, breathing felt tight because it was holding back the emotions caused by the words of his dearest daughter-in-law.
Arumi's body was limp with trembling knees. She didn't think her son had dropped a talaq on Queensha. She thought their household would survive until death separated.
“Honey, I ...." Arumi's body lost its balance. Luckily Rayyan immediately approached the wife and caught Arumi's body, holding her tightly so she wouldn't fall to the floor. Queensha was worried, she wanted to help, but stopped her from doing so.
“Honey, this is impossible, right? Ghani couldn't possibly divorce Queensha, my favorite daughter-in-law. Tell me, this whole thing was just a nightmare. Say, Honey,” paw Arumi to her husband with a look of disbelief. Rayyan looked at Queensha. It seems that his son-in-law did not lie.
“We have to ask Ghani first. We'll wait for Ghani to come home. Queensha, you wait for Ghani. Let's talk about your problems, lest you just think for a moment and make it all a loss. Do not let you regret this decision,” please Rayyan try to be wise. He did not want Ghani to regret his decision to divorce Queensha for trivial reasons.
It hurts if our presence is not considered someone. However, Rayyan did not support Ghani's decision to unilaterally divorce Queensha without discussing with her first. Even before marriage, the eldest son asked for his opinion first and then the wedding was held simply in the absence of a luxurious wedding reception such as the bride out there.
"Thank you because Daddy and Mommy already want to accept me with my condition which is just an ordinary woman. I appreciate you both so much, I love you as much as my own parents. I hope, Father, Mother, Mr. Ghani, and Rora, can be healthy always and happy. Goodbye, Father and Mother" Queensha said.
The weight of the heart left them, but what power if Ghani alone did not want it there anymore.
“Honey, don't stay Mother, you have to stay here. We wait for Ghani, right?" please Arumi while holding Queensha's hand. His strength had already returned and he did not want to lose this excellent son-in-law of his. Where else could he find a woman who sincerely loved her granddaughter. Where else could he find a woman who was always paying attention to him.
“Sorry, Mother. I beg you, don't hold me.”
Queensha removed her handrails from Arumi and kissed the middle-aged woman's back of the hand, also with Rayyan, she kissed the back of their hands in reverence.
“If we are a match, God will surely ease our path to stay together. Assalamu a'laikum,” pamit Queensha then began to walk leaving the two people who will soon become his former in-laws. Queensha wiped the tears that fell from the eye. His footsteps were heavy, but he had to force himself to keep stepping away from there with a heart full of sincerity.
‘Do I survive again?’ inner Queensha poignant.
The hot air he was so excited about, he went to the side of the road to stop the taxi.
“Dad, stop Queensha. Don't let him go!" beg Arumi to her husband while pulling Rayyan's hand asking to come back after Queensha. However, Rayyan just kept quiet and looked at Queensha who was getting further away from his sight. “Honey! Stop Queensha. Don't let him go. What about Rora? What about me if my dear son-in-law leaves here? Where would he stay if not with us?”
The crying now sounded bitter from Arumi's mouth. It is clear Queensha's departure has left deep wounds for both of them. Arumi did not expect that Ghani turned out to do that at her wedding that had just been a corn.
“What about our granddaughter, Rora, Honey? What about Queen ...” Arumi could not bear, the sadness he felt considering the run-down of the son's household made him limp.
A beautiful face that began to be stopped by paled wrinkles, her eyes felt yellow. The longer the fireflies meet Arumi's view. The woman's body grew limp and eventually fainted in the husband's arms.
“Babe, wake! Arumi, wake!” rayyan patted Arumi on the cheek. However, the wife did not respond to anything at all. The beautiful eyelids that always radiate shade are closed with the rest of the crystal circles in the corner of the eye.
"Ghani, you've gone too far! I'll make the calculations with you."
Ijah and Tina, who had been frozen, immediately ran over to the master. In a panic they help Rayyan carry Arumi and move her to the long sofa in the living room.
Meanwhile Queensha got into the cab and left. He could not bear the sadness that was in his heart because he had to go and let go of everything that he had been through in that house, all the sweet and beautiful memories that happened there with Aurora, beloved princess.
