Marrying the Father of My Foster Son

Marrying the Father of My Foster Son
Old Friend

That afternoon, the sunlight shone brightly above the clouds. The blue sky and the cool air around welcome the arrival of Queensha, Ghani and the little Aurora. The three sons of man walked side by side with Ghani carrying a basket of petals to be sown on the princess' meal. Queensha was holding Aurora's tiny fingers all the way away from her former mother.

"Mama, where are we actually going? Why is this place so quiet? Look, there's a lot of creepy trees. Rora's afraid of ghosts, ma."

Queensha smiled faintly at the princess's complaint. Without much talking, the woman halted her steps then squatted down to align their height. Swiping the little guy's head full of love.

"We're going to meet the grave of his son Mama, your sister. Because the atmosphere around here is quiet, not many people visit how if Mama just carried? Let Rora's eyes can be closed if she is afraid," said Queensha softly. The clenched fingers are still playing the long black strands of hair that belong to the child.

Aurora looked up head to face Ghani, as if asking for his opinion. Ghani nodded his head giving permission to his son.

They stepped back, towards one of the funeral rows whose position was under a shady tree. Although the weather is quite hot, but the three are not hot because they are blocked by tree branches that dangle everywhere.

"Is this tomb the final resting place of our daughter, Sha?" ghani asked without distracting her from the frozen belly button inscribed with a baby girl's name.

"really. My name is taken from the Japanese name because the baby was present in my womb when I was working as a waiters."

Ghani squatted on the side of the tomb, wiping light dust over the gray marble-clad stone. Not many dry leaves fell on the navel and he was sure that Queensha took good care of their daughter's resting place.

"Hi honey, it's papa, son. I'm sorry if I just visited you. Papa just found out if it turns out you are present in this world. If only papa was looking for you and also Mama early would have happened not like this. Again, forgive papa." Ghani spoke while sprinkling flower petals over the navel.

"For five years, it wasn't that papa didn't try to find your whereabouts just ...." Ghani's words were floating in the air. Not to say before Yogi tells Alvin's involvement in this matter. If Alvin is not involved, he is not the same as spreading slander to everyone. So the only way is to be silent until all the truth is revealed.

The termination of the sentence made Queensha curious about what Ghani was going to say. However, a long wait apparently the man did not continue his words.

"What is it? Are you hiding something behind me?"

Shake fast and smile faintly. "It's not yet time you knew. However, I promise that one day you will be the first person I will tell you if everything is clear. For the time being, let me keep it tight."

Indifferently Queensha replied, "Suach. Even if you refuse to tell me, I have nothing to lose!"

Ghani just put a smile on his face. Seeing Queensha pout as she is today with her slender lips pursing forward, the man grew even more eager to reclaim what once belonged to her. Yeah, he'll try his best to melt Queensha's heart and make her his wife again. A wife who is not only on paper but a real wife.

After making a pilgrimage to his daughter's grave, Ghani invited Queensha and Aurora to visit one of his colleagues' homes that had once been practiced together in the city's hospital. Ghani's relationship with his colleagues is quite close and until now they are still communicating, asking about the business and busyness of each.

"Jeez, Ghani? How are you doing? We haven't seen each other in a long time." Bayu warmly welcomed Ghani's arrival in his very simple hut. The heart feels happy because it can meet again after five years of not meeting each other.

"Alhamdulillah, my news is fine. Sorry if my arrival here interfered with your rest."

Bayu clucked annoyed at her making. "You said what the hell, Ghan. We've been friends for a long time, don't be too proud of me." Then the man turned his eyes to Queensha and the little four-year-old girl who was sleeping in his arms.

Bayu turned to look at Ghani as if asking for an explanation of the man why his friend came here with round-eyed women and girls. Long time no see, Ghani did not tell much about his personal life. They still communicate, for personal matters, the oriental-faced man never told anyone about it.

Feeling himself being interrogated, Ghani spoke sign language. 'I'll tell you later. But for now, can you give me a temporary residence?'

Bayu nodded in agreement as he felt sorry for Aurora who was asleep in Queensha's arms. Then he invited Ghani and Queensha into the house and he also asked the wife to prepare an empty room for their guests. While Ghani waits for Queensha to flirt with Aurora, she has a one-on-one conversation with Bayu.

"Bay, I came here not only to visit you, but also to ask for your help investigating something. I heard from my wife that she gave birth to a baby at the hospital where you work. From the story told, there were some irregularities and I felt the need to investigate them. But I can't do it alone. I need someone's help and that person is you."

Bayu's forehead shriveled the confused sign. "What help do you mean?" Then Ghani whispered something in Bayu's ear.

"All right, I'll try. But I can't promise because it's been five years and it could be all the files are lost or even stored in the storage warehouse. However, I will try to help you for the sake of our friendship."

Ghani's face heard it. For the first time Bayu saw another figure of a Muhammad Ghani Hanan, a cold man who rarely smiled. But today he got the lottery because he could see that smile.

"Thanks, Bay. You are my best friend. I promise to repay all your kindness one day" Ghani said.
