Devan's remorse

"I'm sorry, son!" Devan grabs a tiny, weakly rolled fingers in the hospital gurney, while dipping it repeatedly.

"Dad knows Flo is a strong boy, Flo is going to be healthy again" Devan said, stroking Flo's hair gently. Little Flower opened her eyes, she looked frightened looking at Devan and shouted while crying.

"Daddy...!" Harland and Shanum gasped at the voice of his daughter. Both rush in.

"Flo," Harland approached and calmed his little daughter down.

"Daddy, I'm scared!" the little girl hugged Harland tightly, while hiding her face from Devan's gaze.

"Sorry Devan, you should go out first, Flo is not used to the presence of people he does not know well" said Harland.

Devan nodded, but his chest rumbled violently, the little princess, rejecting his presence. With a heavy heart, Devan stepped out of the room.

"Devan, Flo may not be able to accept your presence now, you can approach it slowly" advised mommy Sarah.

"Yes, Miss Sarah!" devan replied while covering his face with both hands

"She doesn't understand, even if you say you're her father" Mommy Sarah said.

Devan rested his body on the back of the bench in the waiting room. Regret weighs so heavily on his soul and body at the moment. Regret having wasted Shanum, sorry for his stupidity so easily influenced by his mother.

If time can be turned back, Devan will take good care of Shanum, living together with adorable children, in Shanum's small house in the village. Far from the noise of the capital, and far from a life full of falsehoods and deceit.

But all is wishful thinking that will never be real.

Harland was out of Flo's room when the boy fell asleep. The man sat beside Devan, and patting Flo's father's shoulder was weak.

"Flo's asleep, you still want to see it?" ask Harland.

Devan shook his head, "Later on, Harland, if Flo's healed,"

"You can meet him at any time" Harland said.

"Thank you, Harland! You deserve to live with Shanum, because Shanum is a gentle, understanding woman,"

Devan said sincerely.

"You're a good man too, Devan! I hope you also get a good woman soon, as a mother, Darren continued," Harland smiled.

Darren, Devan remembers his son who lived with his mother at home.

"Harland, if you'll excuse me, I haven't seen Darren in a few days, because I'm busy, I'm a bad father, so excuse me" Devan said.

Devan hurriedly stepped inside the now deserted house. Little Darren ran around to see his father coming.

"Dad!" darren hugged Devan tightly.

"Dad go to work, son! When I left, Darren didn't wake up, when I came home, Darren was asleep, so I had a hard time playing with Darren" Devan replied smiling, his little son had already started to protest with his absence at home.

"Flo? harland and Monica's daughter?"

"Flo my daughter, Ma?" answer Devan lethargic.

"What??" Mama Sonia looked shocked.

"Yes, she's my daughter and Shanum, the daughter Shanum used to live in the hospital, because she was depressed after giving birth.

"What's the matter, Flo?"

"Flo has congenital heart disease, Ma! He had to go back and forth to the hospital, to control his health, all because we are Ma!" sesal Devan's.

"Mama's sorry too, Van! Sorry Mama!" Sonia looks moody. "But my mom is also grateful that the kids are in good hands,"

"Dad, who is Flo?" little Darren who had heard the talk of his father and grandmother. Follow asking.

"How is my friend's doctor?" ask Vania worried.

"Mrs Monica is in the ICU room, miss!' replied a doctor on duty that night.

"What's going on, Doc? Is the wound bad?"

"Yes, he had a violent impact on his head, now he is still unconscious" the doctor said.

Vania was stunned, sitting on the bench of the waiting room where Monica was being treated. Although Vania and Monica are often noisy, their friendship still goes on.

"Why the hell, Lo had to have an accident of all Monica?" gerutu Vania herself. "Where do I have no money left, who do I call? That old bandot or Harland," Vania confused herself.

"Gue call Harland, who knows he still cares about Monica, Harland does not have the heart to see a difficult person" said Vania in her heart.

Harland had just arrived at his office, when Vania contacted him on her mobile phone.

"What's up, Vania?" asked Harland in a less friendly tone.

"Harland, Monica had an accident, now she is in the hospital in Surabaya." Vania's voice sounded hoarse.

"Then, what does that have to do with me, "the Harland circus.

"Monica has no one, Land, help her, only you can help Monica, please!" please Vania.

Harland did not reply, he took a slow breath. Then, Harland hurriedly walked out of his room, to return home.

"Who, brother, how come home?" Shanum welcomed her husband in wonder.

"Shanum, Vania just called me, she said Monica had an accident and now she's in a coma in the hospital, in Surabaya," Harland told the truth.

"What a pity, Monica!" shanum Mumbled.

"Vania asked me to come to Surabaya, because no one took care of Monica there!"

"Wouldn't you go?"ask Shanum.

"Actually I'm lazy to deal with Monica again, but I can't just turn a blind eye, if you allow me, I'll be gone for a few days,"

"Go Brother! It's okay, poor Monica, she has no one else," Shanum said sincerely.

"What about Flower?" Harland was worried about his daughter.

"Flo's getting better, brother! He was already able to sleep well," Shanum replied.

"Well, I'll take a look at Monica, once the business is over, I'll be home soon" Harland said.

Mommy Sarah, who had just returned from the market, was astonished to see her son come out of the house in a hurry.

"Harland why, Num? How come you rush that? Ask Mommy Sarah.

"Monica had an accident in Surabaya, Mom, Alan's sister asked permission to go there to see Monica," Shanum replied innocently.

"You're given permission, Shanum? Monica is a human snake!" mommy Sarah is upset.

"Monica's in a coma, Mommy! I believe, Brother Harland will not be easily deceived by Monica," Shanum said.

"We'll see, Shanum! Do not let you part because of the snake" Mommy Sarah reminded.
