My boy, I Love You

My boy, I Love You
Chapters 2. Back Home

Lia dragged her suitcase into the international departure airport. Sometimes he lowered his head, hiding his face from those who passed by.

Some people looked at it with concerned looks. Of course they will feel sorry to see Lia's swollen eyes. He's been crying all night.

His sadness, when he was down because of a problem but his father rejected him and got rid of him just because of a good name.

He was used to living all sufficiency, soon he had to fight alone in the overseas. Plus his future. How will she be able to take care of the pregnancy and her child later.

The sound from the airport loudspeakers resuscitated him from his daydream. He hurried to the flight attendant standing in front of the entrance of the plane. The flight attendant checked her passport and ticket before entering the cabin.

Lia was sitting in her chair, right next to the window. A middle-aged woman sat next to him, greeting him kindly.

"Hi,"

Lia returned her smile. "Hi mam."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine" he replied in a bitter tone.

"Darling, every human being has a problem. It all depends on how to deal with it," said the woman, "bend your chest, face your problems. And you'll win."

Clear liquid came back out of his eyes. The middle-aged woman patiently dried it with a piece of tissue in her hand.

"It doesn't hurt to cry. Tears can wash away all the wounds in your heart" she said, "because you haven't cried too long. If you keep crying, you'll get worse and harder to get up."

The air travel felt so fast as the two women talked to each other and told her story.

"My poor daughter, she had to struggle through chemotherapy several times. But there's nothing I can do. He still has to go" he said, ending his story.

"I'm so sorry, mam."

"I'm doing fine. I've been through it all" said the woman. A smile was etched on his face.

"Lia, you can stay with me if you want. I would be so happy to have a daughter like you" said the woman. "You can occupy my late daughter's room."

"All right mam. It'll be fun. Anyway I haven't thought about what I'll do later."

"Lia, don't worry. I'll support you. You are my daughter now" she said. "Princess of the Savero family."

I don't feel like time is passing. After the incident that left him deeply slumped in the dark hole, he slowly began to crawl up.

Now light has appeared in his life. The seed embedded in his womb has transformed into a very handsome boy who is smart.

"Mommy, mommy," the little boy jumped in joy as I picked him up at school. On his neck hung a medal. I don't know what other competitions he's in.

Lia led him into the car. "Leon, what competition are you winning this time, baby?"

"Mathematic, mommy!" the answer. "Mommy, there's a letter for you from the teacher's mother."

"Letter to mami? Did you do something you shouldn't, honey?" Lia chuckled while the boy pouted hearing his mother's joke.

Lia opened the letter. A letter about the school's desire to exchange students. And the school appointed Leon as one of its participants.

"alright. We're not leaving" Lia said as she folded back the paper.

"But, mami. Leon wants to leave. Leon wants to know the country where mommy was born and grew up" Leon said whining.

"Mami said, no!"

Leon put on his pouting face. So all day he only put on a sour face until Grany Diane also reprimanded him.

"Leon, come here," call Diane. "You're pouting all day. What's the matter."

"Grany, Leon gets a chance to join the exchange, but my mom doesn't want Leon to leave."

"What's the problem, Lia. Get off. Accompany your son to the exchange of students."

"Mam, I'll take you. But not if it's Indonesia!"

"Did you forget, Lia. You haven't won. Raise your head, shake your chest and conquer your problem" Diane said. "I'm sure you'll win. After all the sadness you've been through, surely happiness will come. Go away, baby."

A young man was waiting at the exit, he carried a board with a name with all capital letters. LEONARD.

"Sir Toni?" my many.

"Oh, hi Miss Cornelia," he said kindly. "And you must be Leonard."

"It's nice to meet you guys. Lady Diane told me to pick you up and drive you to her house" she said, while her hands deftly took over our luggage.

A very good officer. He immediately arranged all the bags into his car.

Soon they reached the Savero residence. A small villa in the middle of the city.

"Mommy, will you be able to drive Leon in the afternoon?" The little boy nodded at his mother who was busy arranging his clothes into the closet.

"Where are you going Leon?" asked Lia back with her busyness after glancing for a moment at the busyness of her son.

"Leon just applied for a talent competition form, mam," said the boy still cool with the article on his laptop.

"alright. You take a shower and get ready. Then tell mommy the clock and the competition place."

Submissively, Leon immediately turned off his laptop and rushed to the bathroom. Lia smiled, I don't know what else would amaze her.

His handsome boy always managed to amaze him. I don't know what the prodigy can't do. It was the most beautiful gift for him.

"Mommy, Leon's been taking a shower. Prepared already. Come on, 5 o'clock this afternoon, mam."

"Yes. Intermarried mom. Come on, mommy's ready. Here's the address," said Lia, holding her bag and snatching the ignition key hanging on the wall.

"Don't you know the place?" ask Leon.

"Mommy used to live here. Mami doesn't think there will be much change" said Lia while driving her city car.

"Leon, it looks like we're lost."

The boy laughed. "Mommy, turn at the front roundabout and we take the left direction."

"You sure, Leon? Do you need GPS?" ask Lia.

"Yakin. Leon memorized the map of this city. We can't get lost" he replied reassuring his mother.

Shortly after, Lia had parked her car in a yard of a fairly large building. Scouting competition audition venue.

Leon tipped the hardcase in his left hand, while his right hand held my hand.

A man approached us.

"Where is the talent search audition?" my many.

"Have you filled out the form?"

"Online, already. And it should be my turn soon."

"Online's? We're not opening the line online," the man said. "how is it possible-"

"You can check it out."

While from the loudspeaker sound heard the call. "Leonard Savero, number 2035. Please perform."

"I'm sorry, that's my name" he said as he passed by the officer who was still dumbfounded.
